4 Part 4

Lilith, still astonished by her penny, got into the car and turned the key. There was the noise of the engine and the car drove off. As he drove, Lilith wondered how to remove these wings and where they came from. Not long after, the subject of adoption had burst into her thoughts, and the anger re-emerged in her. He pressed the accelerator harder and the speed increased. Lilith still could not understand how and why she was adopted. Maybe these questions would have been answered by her parents, but they were too angry to come back and ask them. And what her true parents are. Why are there wings?

After another few minutes of walking on the steep path, a bright light was already visible. The end of the forest. Lilith faced a high cliff surrounded by a meadow of bright flowers. The blue sky merged with the horizon. And somewhere in the distance was the city where Lilith had grown. She looked up at the sky and took a deep breath. The clear air passed through her lungs and she felt a sense of freedom and calm. She headed for the rock, and as she climbed, she looked down. Suddenly he headed toward the lake at great speed, like an eagle ready to catch his prey. He reached out and stroked the water beneath her, flying slowly. A pleasant feeling flooded her and felt more free than ever.

Not long after, she returned to the rock from which she had jumped. She glanced around, and then she felt the feeling that someone was watching her. He turned back to the lake and looked around.

"Bravo!" Said a male voice behind her.

She turned abruptly and saw a tall, thin man who looked very strange. His face was covered by the hood of his jacket, and his face was a devilish smile.

"Who are you?" Lilith asked, completely forgetting her wings. A normal person would be scared. So who is the man against her?

- You will soon understand. he was still so ghastly the man.

"Why not now?" The girl asked furiously, trying not to show her fear.

- Try. the girl stood, but the man turned and everybody vanished.

Lilith was startled by what he saw, and hurried out, flipping over the forest and landing on his car.

"Do these wings have no hold?" Lilith murmured, feeling a little lighter in the next moment. She was glad to realize that there was nothing on her back, and she could safely get back to her parents. Parents...

Lilith remembered the incident and sighed. He could not always be angry with them. Still, they were the best parents, though they were not really hers.

She got into the car and drove back home.

"I came over!" Cried Lilith, closing the front door behind him.

"Little, are you okay?" Her mother asked in alarm.

-There's nothing wrong with me. I want to talk to you. said the girl, and sat down on the sofa, tapping the place beside her.

"Listen .." Her mother started but she was interrupted.

Lilith stepped away from her and wiped her mother's flowing tears.
