1 Chapter#1 : Married.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife, You may kiss the bride."

Wedding day maybe the most beautiful day of any girl's life but for Mariposa William, it was nothing.

It was just a mere business deal and she was served as a collateral. She didn't even know the name of her husband ⁷nor did she know that how he look like. It's not like, she was interested. The only thing on her mind was what if he would abuse her too.

The day before her wedding, she confronted her uncle Mason and told him that she didn't want to marry a stranger. And she would only marry the person whom her parents had chosen, a long ago. But Mason knew very well , how to shut his niece's mouth. One hard slap with one threat and she was all quiet.

She was sitting beside her husband in his expensive car. She was too afraid that she didn't even look at him for once.

The car stopped suddenly, bringing her out of her thoughts. She looked out of the window and realised that they were in front of "Walton's Mansion."

She looked towards her groom, confused. He was busy on his phone.

Few minutes passed like this and then finally he turned towards her. Her breath hitched.

She sit still at her place. She didn't know what to say. At that moment, she just wanted to jump at him and cry her heart out. She felt if the time had stopped.

It was him, her fiance, her father's best friend's son, the love of her life and now her husband.

It was Daniel Walton.

All the memories were refreshed. Mariposa William, the only daughter of Olivia William and Liam William. Elder sister of Chase William. She was a carefree girl once, living her life to its fullest.

She was 17 when her parents died at the night of her engagement ceremony. They were all gathered at the private island of her father's best friend, Leo Walton. They were a happy family.

She was engaged to Daniel Walton , theday she was born. After he left for college, she hadn't seen him. He was always busy or maybe pretended to be.

When they were younger, he used to her best friend. He never let any boy near her. Things changed after he left for college. She was 10 and he was 16 at that time. After that she never saw him.

Leo Walton and Liam William were best friends since their junior years. Later there friendship turned into business partnership. They wanted to make their bond stronger so they decided to marry Mariposa with Dalton.

They decided to have a proper ceremony that night. Mariposa was so happy that she would see the love if her life after many years. She was 18 at that time and Dalton was 23. But that night changed their lives for worst.

After all that she has suffered from, there was a hope inside her little heart that one day Dalton would come back to take her away from all the sufferings. But the thought of her getting married to any other man who wasn't her Dalton tightened her chest.

She took a breath if relief, when she realized that Dalton was her husband now. A smile crept on her face.

She saw Dalton raising his hands to lift the veil from her face. Her cheeks turned red in colour. But he stopped his hands and cleared his throat. Mariposa looked towards him confused.

"Listen girl you are the only daughter Uncle Liam, whom I adore a lot. My family loves you. Chase has always been worried about you. It had been five years. Everyone was concerned about you. I don't love you and I will never consider you as my wife. I love ------- someone else." He smiled as he mentioned about his love at the end of his harsh words that stabbed the heart of innocent girl. He sighed and continued. "I am busy now a days. After I will be free, we will get divorce." He took out his ATM card and handed it to Mariposa.

"Here take this and you can use it as you want. If you want more, you can ask Chase." He said and turned towards his mobile.

These were not words,these were knives that stabbed Mariposa's heart. With teary eyes she kept looking at him for sometime.

How could she forget that love wasn't the thing made for her. Maybe she was born to suffer. This was her fate , after all. Without saying a word she stepped out of the car. She didn't know what to feel. She was numb.

"Take me to penthouse." Daniel ordered the driver and closed his eyes. He was really tired but even in his messy state , he was looking like a Greek God. 6.3 feet tall, six packs, sharp jaw line, deep brown eyes and an arrogant look on her face that matched his personality, he was more than the word 'handsome' .

As he closed his eyes, the same blue-green eyes came into his view. It had been 5 years. He was searching for her.

"Where are you? I need you." The world's most handsome billionaire was desperate for a girl. Even he didn't know her name. But he couldn't get her out of his system.

But the very first aim if his life was now to take revenge. Revenge from the killer of his parents. Revenge from the killer of Liam and Olivia William. Now that he had all the proofs, he could bring that killer to the court. But he wanted to make that person beg for the mercy.

He would really enjoy this game now. He smirked at the thought. He has spent years to get his hands on that person. At the age of 23 , he took all the responsibilities of the business and family. The jolly boy was lost somewhere in the race of the world. Now he ruled half if the world's economy.
