1 Prologue

A day had passed after Rae gave Missy the permission to leave him alone. He didn't want to have his bud not have his happy ending. He hated the fact that Mike loved the girl and didn't even tell him but what made him more irritated is that Missy was told to at least give him a chance. She didn't like nor love Rae at all, but since Mike asked her to at least give him a chance, she did. She fell for Rae... but she couldn't hide the fact that she also love his best friend. Kite didn't like this set up and decided to break the plans of Mike. He knew what Missy felt and he didn't like it for both Rae and Mike, he told Rae what Mike did and told Missy resulting into an argument. Both Rae and Mike fought with each other inside their unit.

Bruises were seen in Mike's face and none in Rae. Mike argued with Rae but didn't fight back physically. He knew better that he had done wrong for his best friend, he knew that what he done was fooling Rae around. With such revelation Rae cried in the middle of punching Mike. His first ever heart break with his first ever love.

"Rae-" another punch went to the right side of Mike's face. "I'm sorry." he managed to say.

Rae's tears fell on his friend's face making Mike more guilty than his whole life. Missy was also there lost in thoughts, she called Kite on what was happening. Kite was down the hall letting the three settle things. But after hearing what was happening, he immediately ran inside their unit.

He pulled Rae off Mike. "Rae, Rae! Stop it, man!" He shouts at the guy who was filled with rage.

Rae calmed down and Kite let him go. He left not giving even a glance of his "so-called girlfriend."

Rae went to his and Mike's favorite place here in New Jersey. The cliff side, Palisades. It was the best day of both friends had. They were only 5, Missy, Rae, Mike, Kite, and Ethan. Sharing their opinions and guessing the future. They drank and stayed there for the night. It was the biggest and most enjoyable day of college. But Rae shook the thought of those times and just stared at the view. He thought hard of what had happened and finally realized...

Rae knew what Mike did was for him... He knew that Mike didn't want him to be sad and rejected. That he was the only person who had known he was a newbie about love. He didn't want to ruin Rae's first love.

Rae called Missy to tell her what he had thought hard about.

-Dialing Missy ♥-

She picked up the phone; "Let's break up." Rae immediately spoke.

"I'm sorry-" Missy was crying and got cut off by Rae.

"I don't need to hear any explanation. I want you to go to the person you love the most. I can't be with someone who's not even sure if they love me or not. I want also the best for Mike. He was self less and I hate that and now I'm giving you the opportunity to go to the person you love. We both know where you'll end up anyways." Rae fought the urge to cry... Each word he had said made him more sad and the rubbing pain in his chest didn't go away.

Rae hung off the phone and giving Missy to explain her side.

He went back of his car to find the cooler filled with beer. He took out a bottle of beer and sat on the edge of the cliff drinking. He sat and drank there for hours and hours not giving shit about the world until a car pulls off behind him.

"Hey man..." Ethan greeted with his low and sincere voice.

Rae didn't give a reply and continued to drink. Ethan felt sad for his friend about what had happened. Ethan knew that what Mike did was for himself and not for Rae because if it was Rae's decision, he wouldn't want his best friend to be selfless. He'd want him to be happy too.

The silence broke and Rae spoke.

"What do you think about jumping off a cliff-"

Before he continued Ethan immediately took him beside the car and not the edge of the cliff.

Rae removed Ethan's arms off and talked. "Chillaxxx.... I ain't gonna jump off." Rae assured.

"Dammit, man! You scared the FUCK out of me!"

Rae laughed with pure pain and sadness.

"It hurts... being lied on. They both loved each other more than me and Missy did. But he had done something so self less and not even think about my decision." Rae cried out.

Ethan remained quite as his friend burst into tears. He let his friend drink his way out of it. For hours and hours Ethan accompanied Rae until he was drunk enough to need a ride back home. Ethan figured to bring Rae somewhere other than his unit so he brought him to Kite's place.

"What the hell man?!" whispered Kite with annoyance in his voice.

"I had to let him go here! He was alone in the cliffs forgodsake! Who knows what he'll do there!" Ethan whispered to Kite back.

"IT'S 12PM!" emphasized Kite.

"Yeah and he started drinking after he left their unit!" Ethan argued. "Where's Mike-?"

He was cut off by Rae who was awakening by their noise. His eyes slowly opened and immediately sees the two awkwardly smiling. He looked away after seeing the two faces. He stood properly and let go of Ethan's shoulder.

"I'm here?" asked Rae.

"Yeah. Uhh come in." Kite invited.

"Are you good?" Ethan asked as soon as they went inside.

"I need a shower."

"It's upstairs. Up go to left and you'll see the last room there. The towel's there. I'll lend you my clothes." Kite told Rae.

Rae slowly went up and to the bathroom. Ethan and Kite was left alone in the living room.

"So where is he?" asked Ethan.

"Well I left him just 20 minutes earlier before you came. He was in Padi's Point, probably still drinking. So Rae was in Palisades?" Kite questioned back.

"He was, I don't know since when but he was."

"How much did he drink?"

"Enough to make him drunk? Tequila and a bottle of Beer." Ethan said.

"You drank with him?"

"I had to, I helped finish the beer to lessen his drinking."

Kite laughs. "To think he got drunk with just that much."

Ethan laughed with Kite. Kite went upstairs and took some clothes out of his wardrobe. He left them at the side of the door just behind the bathroom, hanging.

Ethan and Kite waited for about 20 minutes and finally saw Rae coming down. He had his old clothes folded and placed them on the sofa edge.

"Where is he?" Rae seriously asks.

"Are you sober?" Ethan shoots a question.

"I am." Rae answered.

"His in Padi's Point." Kite also answered his question.

"With Missy?" He sadly asked.

"His alone. He told Missy to go back home."

"Since when did he leave the Padi's?" Rae asked.

"He didn't, he's still there."

"That bastard!" Rae shouts, shocking both Ethan and Kite.

"Hey, hey! Chill."

"Where's my car?" Rae asks growling.

"Just outside..." Ethan said.

Rae immediately left the house and told Kite thanks for lending him his clothes. He was just outside when Ethan said something.

"Hey be careful!" Ethan shouts catching Rae.

Rae immediately jumped on his car and started heading in the Padi's Point. It was already 3:52 AM in the morning and he finished drinking around 9 falling asleep. He was more annoyed to think that Mike was still drinking this late. It was already 4:00 AM when he arrived at the bar. He came rushing in angrily inside the bar and spotted Mike immediately.

Mike took a little glimpse of Rae before he got hit with his punch. He went off his chair and stood up immediately. He was so shock about what had happened. His dizziness lost and he had this right mind and knew what was happening.

"Why are you her-" He spoke but stopped midway getting shocked by getting hugged.

He hugged Rae back. "I'm sorry." Mike spoke breaking the awkward silence...

Rae let go of Mike and talked; "No, I'm sorry... I've punched you too many times this day." Rae cried out. Making Mike's eyes teary. "Dammit Mike! Why'd you choose my happiness over yours!" Rae continues.

"Hey... You're embarrassing me..." Mike told Rae teasingly. "Let's go out." he said.

Rae grabbed his buddy's shoulder and went out. And to their surprise, they saw Missy, crying.

Missy immediately ran towards Rae and cried. "I'm sorry." Rae got shocked of the sudden events.

"Hey, hey... it's fine." Rae answered.

Missy joined Mike in the group hug. She was having troubles because the two guys were towering over her. "Why are you guys so tall." she laughs while crying.

Both Rae and Mike hugged her back and lowered themselves which made Missy irritated. "Damn you both!" She said.

"Easy on my face... It just got butchered." Mike said.

"I'm sorry." Rae said seriously with a sad tone.

"Hey, it's not your fault. Let's just head back in the unit." Mike answered.

The three agreed and they all went back to Mike and Rae's unit...
