2 |The Holy Bridge Region|

---

It was a very bright day for everyone in the capital city of Amethyst. Those of higher class were about their day as they went out shopping and traveling all the while ignoring the poor on the streets as usual. The city held no medium class and it was either you were rich or you were a beggar. Those with power would truly be the ones with the final say in everything, after all. This day, however, wasn't like any other as the amount of poor on each street corner seemed to be decreasing immensely?

The population of the great capital stopped at a few million people and within a short two weeks, this number dropped by one third?! This was a major issue for the Law Enforcement, however, those that went missing all originated from the poor class, so even though this case frightened them, they were not too rushed to solve this case. They even saw it as an improvement.

The voice of a few people in the distance carried over to the ear of a cloaked figure, "Fuck! another one has gone missing... What do you think is gobbling up these poor bastards?"

His friend replied, "Don't look at me, this whole mess was caused by The Massacre Region's pariah I bet you."

The cloaked figure turned his head a little as the two men walked past him and spoke about the happenings of the city. Their voices were loud and pronounced enough for people within a few yards of them to hear what they said. However, the cloaked figure had lost interest, so he walked on and took a left onto a separate street than the two loud gossipers. The figure removed his hood and kept walking until he had made three consecutive right turns, finally arriving in front of a three-story Azura shrine that held an archaic air to it. He did not hesitate to enter the gates of the shrine, pausing to look left and right before walking off yet again.

"Hmm," a sound came from building ahead of him. However, he paid no heed to the voice that seemed to have appeared out of thin air.

As he stepped into the first room of the shrine, the world seemed to have lost all color and no sound could be heard. A voice echoed out, "Who are you? Why are you trespassing in my territory vassal?!"

The voice contained a hint of impatience and aggression within, in fact, the person did not bother to hide these intentions as the feeling of being eyed by a wolf fell upon the male figure. His breathing quickened for a moment as he resisted the pressure the mysterious entity was emitting. His teeth were tightly clenched before he seemed to have solidified himself and spoke coyly, "Oh~ Is this how the great god of the sea greets his fellow brethren?"

The voice responded with annoyance, "Don't give me that crap! Why are you extending yourself in my region, Mir!?"

The vassal's features, which were seemingly ordinary and not anything different from regular humans, began to shift and reorganize. His face became rough, scarred, and rigid, while his clothes changed from the black robes. His new cloak matched the red uniform, well known in the Massacre Region. He moved forward and sat on the parameter of what seemed like a large well.

"Hahaha!!" Mir laughed coldly before cracking his knuckles. He looked up to the ceiling where a hole appeared. Water began to fall, there seemed to be an unending amount as it poured onto the floor and flooded the room. The water soon came to a standstill and no more were sent in. The large quantity that was already on the ground began to flow in reverse, to compress into a small puddle. Ripples spread across the puddle's surface and without warning, a humanoid figure made of pure water stepped out of it. His figure paused mid-air in front of Mir, eyes trained in the direction of Mir. His face was blank and if you ever stared too long you'd feel the call of the oceans.

"Mir... Explain."

He spoke in a low voice, but the power he held made it extend beyond normal and reach even the outer edges of the area. No one came to see what was going on and it seemed the two were in a world of their own.

"Calm down, Neffius. I am only here to remind you of my region's millennial fray, "Mir answered him with a mischievous tone.

"Hm!" The sea god's vassal scoffed. "I know you Mir... Is this little dogfight between your bastard sons and daughters worth my time?"

"Tsk tsk, don't be such a mood killer. My kids are a vast array of intellectuals and combat geniuses or at least the first two generations hehe.." Mir said while smirking and pacing around Neffius' projection.

" Bullshit! is this why you woke me up? you already know how important it is for me at this moment..." He paused while tracing Mir's every action as a dreadful thought seemed to have surfaced in his mind. There would be no way that this madman would come here without at least something to bait with.
