15 |A Demon Born of The Sea|

The world dictates that all things must die and be born again through the decomposition of their mortal body and reconstruction of another. In this way, no memories are passed on and not even a remnant of what was, is left over during the worlds samsara.

However, the Sea God Neffius sought to change this for his own purposes. Through years of research and unending work, he was able to discover a way around rebirth that was both thorough and tested.

At first, he looked at death, but that was the domain of chaos and he could not lower himself to enter another god's cultivation specialty. This left him dejected and over time started to wondered if he would ever really find what he was looking for.

That was until the day Alice was born. She was the first of her kind and her affinity to water was something he could not look down upon. Her birth brought with it a strange phenomenon that enveloped the area for miles around in small particles of raw elemental energy.

This flagged Neffius to an idea or rather a basic law. Not every newborn sparked such a reaction, but simply because these phenomena happened meant new life and elemental force were keys. He was both wrong and right.

He evaluated a set of births within this region and found that particles of elemental energy towards the water attribute would be prominent in the air, but would not be as strong when compared to Alice's birth. But, this was enough to clue him into a new path.

At present is the result of his hard work. Using ancient runes, large amounts of raw energy is liquified and channeled into at focal point. This point was Jian and the result was a forced deconstruction of a body while sustaining the soul, which is the only entity that could survive direct contact with such forces. The side effect of going through such a ritual is the destruction of what made that person who they were.

After what would be considered a false death, he was then be granted a new life by virtue of the sea god domain. In the end, it was tricking the world into thinking new life is born. The truth of the matter is a being made to the specifications of Neffius would be produced. This being would be his tool and trump card if needed. A being both dead and alive. The demon born of the sea.

---

At the pinnacle of the Northern Sea Fortress is the most isolated and guarded area in the region. This place cannot be entered without sufficient strength or authority. It's rumored to be a paradise separate from our reality, a place unlike what anyone could imagine. There was only so much information known about the inside of this area.

The 'Mulleres do mar' are the only ones who could ever even catch a glimpse without going through strict channels. This place was the personal hall of the saintess. Her own personal dimension gifted from the Sea God.

A woman clad in golden armor teleported in front of two massive azure doors. On each, archaic dragons were engraved. They held a majestic aura about them, it even appeared as if they would squirm a little every few minutes when you pay close enough attention to them. The woman was naturally Liliana, Who placed her right arm on the doors and channeled her powers to its peak. Her hair was lifted up by a large draft generated from her calling forth so much force.

The door groaned in recognition and slowly open up to reveal a veil of white light beyond them. She walked into the veil without a second thought. Her surroundings went from completely white to a sunny beach. Having not entered here for such a long time, she felt a little sick from the transfer. She let the dizziness of spatial transfer wear off, before gliding forward above the sand.

Making her way to a large outdoor pavilion at the center of the small island she appeared on. As she landed on the stone floor at the entrance of the pavilion. She was met with the sight of the Saintess sitting with her legs crossed furiously absorbing the water elemental energy in the realm to progress her strength.

The Saintess' cultivation speed would be three fourths faster than any place in the world. In fact, it was possible for anyone to have more than doubled results here. However, this was only for water elemental energy and would not work for other elements. Her holiness needed to go out to balance herself occasionally via battle.

Just standing where she was without focusing her mind, Liliana could feel the call of the ocean echoing through her body.
