Chapter one

My name is Bethel. I was born and raised in Ethiopia which is located in the east of Africa not the most glamorous place in the world. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I didn't want the life around me. I didn't want to finish college get married have kids and live in a boring fenced house till I get old and die. And in a country as poor and just unstable as mine was you just have to take what you can get and run with it but that wasn't good enough for me. I wanted an extraordinary life I wanted to live everyday to the fullest I wanna live and be alive not just survive and no one understood that. My older sister Edom or baby is the only person who slightly understood what my mind is like and what kinda life I wanted. Baby was the only person I talk to about everything and not feel judged but it's been six years since she left and since I gained a couple of new friends and not necessarily good ones.
