“Well. How did it go?”, Mer whispers her question to me as we walk out the doors of the club. It has been a long day and my nerves are still in a frenzy over all of the events of the evening. I really need a moment before giving her my honest assessment so I decide with a vague response of “as well as to be expected”. I can tell she wants to ask for details but is cut off when someone speaks from behind us.
