37 Chapter 36: Horrors awakened, secrets revealed and passion ignited

As Sato's gun has run out of ammo and the Slasher closes in on them, Conan uses his power to pull the elevator down to their level.

As the elevator doors open with a dinging sound, the offices instantly jumps in pushing the elevator button to close and selects a random floor. As it's a target is suddenly out of reach the Slasher topples over and crawls on the floor, as the elevator doors slowly close and the sounds of more glass shattering can be heard.

As the doors are finally shut and the elevator starts moving Conan and Sato look at the display to see their destination. There they read -Morge/ Dr. Mercer's office-.

As Conan thinks it is somehow a fitting destination a howling screaming scream comes from the elevator door. The Slasher preys open the door viva its scythe-like arms. Using his powers, Conan holds the monster in place, claws, and head inside the elevator. Rising the elevator doors momentum he pushes them shut, nearly decapitating the Slasher and its claws from the body.

Feelings its end nearing the Slasher struggle against the inevitable, as Conan pushes the elevator upwards. With a tearing sound head and arms of the Slasher are ripped from its body. As the elevator moves, the monsters struggle ends, as the blades stop moving and the lead roles.

As the elevator continues to ascend, the only thing audible is two people's heavy breathing as adrenaline is still pumping through their veins.

Having his lower half still pressed flush against Sato's upper body, the mental strain and adrenaline still present in his system, Conan can't stop his body from reacting to the situation.

''This damm Italian...'' Curses Sato, oblivious to the boy's situation. ''... He could at least have...'' She wants to say but is interrupted by the elevators signal. At ones, the door opens and they arrive at their destination. Exiting the elevator, Sato puts the once again struggling Conan down, while looking around.

As Conan is finally free of her embrace, he breaks the elevator via his telepathic power, barring anybody from using it. Happy with his handy work, he activates his illusion power, only to find himself being better at it. Pumping more of his now available energy into it, he realizes that his transformation is not an illustration any more, but a physical one. Thinking about it, he concludes, that given enough energy an illusion becomes reality.

Joining Sato who now is in Dr. Mercer's office, as Jacques Farussi, Conan finds her deeply concentrating over a scream.

Having already felt Conan's approach, Sato turns around very pissed, her gun aimed at his head. ''Explain yourself Farussi! What is going on here? Where is the boy!''

-Well, shit! Now she thinks I kidnap little boys! How am I supposed to kidnap myself?- Conan curses his luck, keeping his cool, knowing Sato's gun to be empty.

''Boy? Who are you talking about?...'' He tells her closing in on her without fear, snatching her gun right out of Sato's hands. Checking the gun chamber Conan finds a bullet in it.''... Did you breathe in some of the stuff down there? You could have killed me!''

Rubbing her head and feeling nauseous Sato says. ''Sorry. Now that you are talking about it... I did breath some of it in.''

Nodding Conan looks at the display and asks. ''What were you looking at?''

''Pictures...'' Sato states, trying to get her head straight while trying to make sense out of the boy's existence. Questioning her sanity she explains, while restarting the slideshow. ''... From what I can understand our dear insane doctor was borne and raised in Palantinsk. From what I can remember the city is now in ruins after it has been used as the primary testing venue for the Soviet Union's nuclear weapons. I didn't even know that the city ever had inhabitants.''

Unable to make any sense out of it, Conan asks her. ''Is there any connection between that city and a criminal organization?''

''Not really, but I guess there has to be one. Many pictures show the city's metro.'' Explains Sato as they suddenly hear sounds coming from the ventilation shafts above them.

Knowing how great ventilation shafts are to stealthily attack victims Conan commands her. ''Copy everything on a hard drive. We will have to leave this place quick.''

''Will do. Give me cover.'' Reply Sato retrieving a hard drive from the desk drawer.

Hearing the Slasher or Slashers crawl ever closer, Conan turns on all the lights in the morgue. Barring the entrance to Dr. Mercer's office by repurposing some lab tables. He finishes that provisional barricade, just in time for the arrival of the slashers. Without a weapon and without a cover, Conan cancels his body skill and redirects his power.

With a creaking sound followed up by air ventilation coming crashing down, three Slashers at once rush and attack him. Channeling his power into his feet, Conan is able to avid all attack, while drawing the monster attacks away from his barricade.

Realizing that his psychic attacks are at best stalling the Slashers for a second, he changes his tactic. Unable to directly rip the enemy apart, he uses telepathy on the already decapitated scythe-like arms in the elevator. Having both scythes floating in the air around him, he finally is in the possession of a weapon.

As the progress bar on the screen painfully and slowly progresses, as Sato suddenly hears the three slasher screams simultaneously. Cursing her idiocy to having already used up all her rounds, she takes a look outside the office, hoping that Farussi is able to deal with them.

To her utter surprise, she sees the Italian transform into the boy she previously carried, only now in retrospect by consciously remembering, the discovers the boys previously massive hard on. Instantly comparing the boy's cock with her lovers, she shudders when realizing that Takagi is many times less impressive.

While contemplating dick sizes, Sato's doesn't follow the flow of the battle and Conan using the scythe from the elevators as weapons. Using the claws edge like a sword, he is able to chop off one of the slashers arms, making his scythe count three. Avoiding the simultaneous attack of the other two slashers, Conan uses two of his weapons as projectiles, nailing the two attackers on the walls. Nailed to the walls and unable to struggle free, the two continue to swing their arms and scream all kinds of inhuman sounds.

Seeing the little boy not only hacking an arm of the creatures, but also nail two on the walls, Sato is unable to close her mouth in surprise. Surprised and a bit turned on by this display of pure dominance, she is taken aback by the boy's violent tendency. Using the last remaining scythe, Conan uses it as a scalpel to dissect his last remaining enemy.

Starting with the removal of its extremities, he creates a disturbing piece of fleshy art. Having its feet and claws removed, Conan nails it in between its brethren, before using the now very last scythe to decapitated one after the other. Even with their heads removed the slashers still seem to be alive, as their eyes are still full of life and their mouth is still moving. Using immense pressure on the heads, crushing them like bloody balloons, the three slashers finally stop moving.

Standing witness to these cruelties, Sato is, on the one hand, disturbed and frightened, on the other hand, more aroused than ever before in her life, an unholy passion ignited inside of her. Before she can decide one either side, she hears sounds of completion. Looking at it, the screen shows the task completed.

As Conan activates his body skill, he notices a dud shot of an explosive on top of another elevator. Feeling the building once again shaking from some new explosions, he curses the thief mentally. -Ass head could have used fewer explosions for his escape.-

Seeing Sato stow a hard drive in her suit jacket, he wordlessly joins her. Entering the still intact elevator, Conan places the not detonated explosive in the middle of the morgue. As the elevator slowly ascends, he triggers it using a weak push. Doing this Conan makes sure that nobody can ever go read Dr. Mercer's research.
