Prologue

Ling Xia floated in a white expanse. His fingers were frantically scrolling through a long list of names, occasionally stopping and tapping one. He was rushing to get this finished before his time was up. A loud sound from behind him startled him, making him whirl around. Ling Xia paled. A crack had appeared in the expanse, as if the seemingly endless white was just an illusion.

He probably only had a few more seconds to pick out the soldiers that would get to go back into the real world before he was sent there himself. He originally wanted to pick the people that would go back into the system and save the others, but his lack of time caused him to disregard that for the last few people. As the web of cracks expanded, Ling Xia whipped back around and tapped whatever remaining names in his view. Just as he finished pressing the third name, the cracks in the space completely encompassed him. The next second, the space shattered, and Ling Xia's consciousness faded into oblivion.

It's me! The author. Hopefully these two enters translate into the published version and help differentiate the story and this note(clearly, this has happened before).

Anyways, this story is written in a Chinese style, so expect there to be some idioms and phrases you don't know. They will explained in the footnotes. At the same time, though, I'm not Chinese, so don't expect everything to be completely accurate.

In addition, this is a BL book, meaning the main character will fall in love with a male. If you're are uncomfortable with this, please do not read this novel.

If you're here for a romance, sweet, slice of life story, you've come to the wrong place(the slow-burn romance will be satisfying when it blooms though). If you're here for a good writer, you've also come to wrong place(because that's my goal, not my starting point).

Also, this story will contain violence and blood, and I will definitely not remember to put notices at the beginning of chapters for this stuff, so just be ready for it in any chapter.
