9 Getting closer (pt2)

Leo POV:

I couldn't believe it...

After everything she did to me and my family...

She came back to twist the knife?

I was infuriated but I tried to stay calm.

"What are you doing here?"I asked angrily while my hands turned into fists.At that point,I kind of turned into Raph,but dont tell him about it.

"What do you mean what am I doing here?Just following my masters orders.I noticed the connection you and this girl share."she said smirking pointing her tato towards Y/ns direction."She means a lot to you,doesnt she?

I growled as I took one of my katanas out and pointed it at her,losing control from anger.

"Just as I thought.You really have a strong connection with her.Like the one we had.Remember?"she said smirking and giggling while she paced in front of me.

"We had nothing together.Every moment with you now seems like a torture.You betrayed us,your real family"I shouted at her.

She looked at me and then sighed.

"Oh Leo...2 years and you still believe that crap?I thought you were better than that."

"Its not crap Karai.Its the truth and you know it.But you made your decision when you betrayed us and killed him.Raph was right about you.I should have never trusted you."

The last two sentences were more like a whisper while I looked down.

I couldnt even look at her.I can believe I trusted someone like her.

"It wasnt a decision.It was what I was supposed to do.I cant betray my father.You are the one that betrayed me.You almost killed him."she snarled at me.

"Yeah,keep telling yourself that.You even acted you were with us just to get close enough to Splinter.You backstabbed us."I shouted even more,blind by my anger.

That's when her expression turned into a softer one.She took a few steps towards me but I back up pointing my jatana at her.

"Look Leo,I'm sorry.I didnt have a choice."she said with a soft,almost regretful voice.She was looking at me,her eyes pinned on mine.

I cant believe I fell for that

"You didnt have a choice?!When Shredder stabbed him,you were the one that pushed him off the building.You think you could keep your cold betrayal a secret just because I wasnt up there?"

I breathed in a few times to calm down.I looked at her.

"I'm going to say this once,so you better listen carefully..."she looked like she was about to laugh.

"Stay away from her and my brothers.If you do ANYTHING to them...you'll get it tenfold.I warned you."

She chuckled before she left.

I was glad she left.A little bit more and I think I would have gone totally crazy.I took out my phone and called Y/n to see if shes ok.

"Hello?"she asked.

"Hey...um,everything ok?"I asked.

"Yeah?...why?"

I stopped.

"I just...um...checking if you were ok."

"Relax Leo.Ill be back in a few minutes.Im almost done with the supplies.Its not like someone is following me or sth"she said.

Oh Y/n...if you knew...

"Ok then,see you at the lair."I said.

"See ya"

She said and I hung up.I continued seeing her fron the rooftops just to make sure Karai doenst follow her again.

Then it came to me.

Narrator POV:

While Leo was thinking,you were done with the "christmas shopping spree".You had to admit to yourself,it helped you clear your head and forget everything that happened a week ago.

After you exited the last shop,you thought about going on a walk outside your apartment,just to see.You kept walking on the pavement,looking behind your shoulder.

As you came across the familiar block of flats,you hesitated for a minute,but you got in.You got out of the elevator and you headed for where your apartment was supposed to be.

But as you were close to it you heard somebody calling your name.

"Y/n!"

You turned your head to see an old man coming towards you,but you knew him.His name was David Walker,your apartment landlord.Your father wasnt talking to him much but you were closer to him since you were the one giving him the monthly rent of the apartment.

"H-hey Mr.Walker."you said as you smiled.He came closer to you."Long time no see.Oh,now that you're here,I need to ask you a few questions."

'Shit' you thought.You knew he would ask you about what happened to the apartment and you disappearing for more than a week.

But before he said anything he motioned you to come into his apartment.You were hesitant at first even though you've been in his apartment many times.

With slow but steady steps you got into his apartment,letting your bags beside the sopha he told you to sit on."Um..do you want anything?Water?Soda?..."

You shook your head.Even though he was a family friend,he was still a stranger.You knew nothing about him and he knew nothing about you,well...mostly not all of it.

He sat on the couch in front of you with a bottle of beer in his hand.You weren't looking at him,you were looking at the ground.

"What happened last week?I came to your apartment to talk to you about the rent and the apartment was trashed,no one saw you for like a week.Is everything ok?"

You froze.It all came back to you.Everything you wanted to get out of your head.You looked at him.But you couldnt mention anything.

"Um...I was on a trip the last week.I needed to work on a...school...project about a different country and I just came back."

You hoped you sounded convincing enough for him to believe.

"So um...what's with all the bags then?"

He asked motioning to the shopping bags next to you.

"Oh um...me and some...friends are planning a um...christmas party...at their home."you said trying to sound convincing enough.

"Oh...ok.Um...theres one more thing I need to tell you about your apartment.Well...since the apartment was trashed the other neighbors complained so...I'm really sorry but I have to kick you out."

Your eyes widened. Kicking you out?

"Oh..um...I,I understand."you said.You felt your throat hurt and drying.You cleared your throat before you spoke again.

"Then...I should start getting my stuff then."

He sadly nodded.You stood up and walked again to your apartment.

As you opened the door,you saw nothing in the living room.The couch...gone.

Tv...gone.

Broken glass table...gone.

The windows were still broken though.

"I um...took away the furniture cause...you know."your landlord said behind you.You nodded.

You went straight to your bedroom and you saw the bed and your desk were still there.

"The furniture cam stay here"you said.

"I dont think I need them.Ill just get the rest of my stuff."

"Are you sure?"

You thought for a minute trying to hold back your tears.You didnt want to leave your house but you had to.

You made your way to your dad's bedroom to get a suitcase,a larger one,to put in the rest of your stuff.

*1 hour later*

You were done with packing your stuff when your phone rang,considering it bad luck,your phone was in the bag you left at David's apartment with the rest of your bags.

To an ordinary person it would be just a missed call but to the person calling you,it would be a "life or death" situation.

You gave the keys to David andleft the block of flats with your 2nd suitcase.

You started walking back to the direction of the lair.

Halfway through the journey,you took your phone out.Your eyes widened to see 5 missed calls and 4 messages from Leo.

"How did I miss those?"you said to yourself while you were in the alley.You let down your bags and called him.

Ring...

Ring..

"Come on,pick up."you muttered

Ring...

You hang up while calling him again.

While you heard the ringing your mind was racing with panicked thoughts.

'Is he ok?'

'Did something happen to him?'

Your heart started racing.

You hang up again,while you called Donnie.

Ring...

"Hello?"Ypu heard Donnies voice on the speaker

"Donnie...is Leo there?"you asked right away not wanting to waste anymore time.

There was a moment of silence when Donnie spoke again.

"Um...no.No,he isnt here.Is everything ok?"

"He called me a few times before but I couldnt answer him and now he's not picking up the phone."you said fast bit at the same time clear.

"Ok ok,calm down,let me see if I cam track him through his T-phone."

"Ok...wait...you can do that?"

Donnie laughed a little.

"Of course.Just in case..."he said.

You breathed in deeply.

A few minutes passed with Donnie mumbling something over there speaker.

"Found him."

Those 2 words made your heart lit up.

"Where is he?"

"Um...I think he's coming in an alleyway"

The moment he said that you felt two hands covering your eyes.You gasped.

"Are you looking for me?"

You already knew who it was.

Your POV:

I hugged him tightly.I wanted to beat the hell out of him for scaring me like that.

I looked at him and frowned hard.

"Why weren't you answering my calls?"

"Well...thought it would be funny to give you a taste of your own medicine."

He said laughing.

I heard Donnie laughing from the speaker as well.

"You knew about this?"I asked shocked.

"Yep."Donnie said through the speaker.

I rolled my eyes with a smile while laughing too.

"You guys are such jerks.Anyway,we'll be there in a few."you said and hang up.
