11 Confessions and truths
Narrator POV:
The night went along peacefully in the sewers lair.Everyone was asleep in their rooms...well almost everyone.
You were awake,sitting on your bed,looking at your phone.A faint smile was spread across your face,your eyes though were bloodshot from the tears coming off and your cheeks were soaked.
You were going through old pictures and videos on your phone.You wanted to go down that memory lane remembering your old life.Videos of you and Jane filming each other while doing silly things (what you do with your best friends) and then your loud laughter filling the room.
You laughed along with the 2 girls in the videos.Soon enough,your phone ran out of battery and you had to charge it.You layed down on your bed trying to sleep,your eyes closed.But the problem was...
You couldn't sleep.No matter what you did to be able to fall asleep,you simply couldnt.A million thoughts crossed your mind and all of them ended in one simple question.
Where is Jane now?
Little did you know that whatever came next,would change not only your self,but your entire life in general.
*time skip a few hours later*
Everyone in the lair have woken up to present switch.You had your gifts ready to go.
For Mikey,a Grognard the barbarian video game.
For Raph.A new comic of "Modern ninja"
For Donnie.Neew safety glasses.
And for Leo...a limited edition captain Ryan figurine from that show he obsessively loves.
The brothers were all grateful at your gifts and to your surprise...you received gifts from them as well.
From Raph you got a metallic pocket knife.There was a japanese saying carved on it which according to Leo it said "Never give up without a fight"
From Donnie you received a brand new phone so that he could track your location in case of an emergency.
From Mikey you received a printed photo of all of you in it.
And from Leo...you got a beautiful necklace that had a rose gold star in the middle along with a blue rose.
You immediately wore the necklace amd thanked them for the gifts.
Your POV:
After we exchanged presents,we sat down and watched tv for a good hour till Leo tapped my shoulder.I turned to look at him.
"Want to go on the rooftops for a while?"he simply asked whispering.I nodded and we got up.I went to my room and took my backpack,met him in the entrance and headed out of the lair.
*time skip*
We were sitting on the rooftop of the tallest bulding in NYC.The sun was setting,creating that stunning blue,orange yellow red hue.We sat at the edge and watched the sky as the stars slowly started coming into view.
I was sitting next to him when accidentally his hand went above mine holding it.I tensed at the touch and felt my cheeks getting red really quick.
He noticed too and took his arm away,turning his head to the side.
"Beautiful night,isnt it?" he asked me in a low voice trying to break the awkwardness.Honeslty,he sounded kind of...nervous.I didnt take my eyes off the sky.
"Yeah...its beautiful tonight"I replied.The sky sure was beautiful tonight.It reminded me of the nights I would go to the rooftop of my house and watch the stars for hours as a kid.Sometimes Jane qould come with me and we would sit there together till our parents found us.
I sighed as the thought of Jane came to my mind.He noticed "Everything ok?"he asked and I nodded smiling at him.He seemed skeptical."Are you ok though?"I asked him back.He looked down for a minute before he started talking.
"Y/n..." he said."I have to tell you something"I nodded smiling.I noticed his cheeks were slowly getting red and his eyes were looking at all directions.
"Ever since I met you...I've been...um...I have some uh...w-what I'm trying to say is that um..."he stuttered rubbing the back of his head."I really like you."he said sharply and then pursed his lips while he closed his eyes,a look of embarrassment washing upon him.
When I heard his words,my mouth parted surprised from what I just heard,hoping it wasnt a dream,luckily for me,it wasn't."You...you like me?" I asked hesitantly.
He nodded smiling.I smiled but then,his smile faded slowly and he looked like he was...frowning?
"I'm sorry" he said getting up. "I knew this was a bad idea" he said.I got up too.
"What do you mean?" I said getting closer to him. "I knew this was a bad idea.I know you dont feel the same way." he said turning his back on me.
Leo POV:
She came up to me while my back was still to her"Did you listen to what I had to say?" She said calmly.I turned to face her again "No." She smiled "Then,let me answer you.The reason I was surprised is because--"
She started saying when we heard a loud noise coming from the other side of the rooftop we were on.I immediately took out my katanas as I stood in front of her protectively.
"Who's there?" I shouted.From the dark part of the rooftop,a tall figure emerged,one I didnt recognize.She was tall,had vibrant ginger hair and her green eyes were the only thing you could see above the mask she was wearing.
After her,another figure emerged but I knew this one too well. "Long time no see Leo.".Karai.
Narrator POV:
You were standing behind Leo when you saw that woman.Her hair was half black,half blonde and her eyes were dark brown.You diidnt know her but from the anger in Leo's eyes and his uneven breathing,you could tell he knew her.
"What,aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" Karai asked while she laughed supporting her elbow on the shoulder of the new foot member which you kind of started recognizing.
You felt you ve seen her before but you couldn't quite place it.Leo growled while he kept glaring at her,his katanas gripped tight in his hands.
"Who is she?"You asked him.Karai looked at you once before se spoke."Well,I'm your friends ex girlfriend."she said.Leo glared harder "We were NEVER together Karai and you know it."
She laughed it off "Oh come on Leo...you know I love teasing you."
He glared at her."Guess what I said didnt matter that much to you" Leo said.
You didnt know the meaning of what was happening nor you knew the two girl standing a few feet away from you but you knew one thing.
Their intentions are not good.
"Oh Leo Leo leo...always so innocent...you think your cheap threats will go against to my masters orders?"Leo kept growling."If you want to fight me,I wont stop you.But she has nothing to do with this."
Karai laughed again "I think little miss thing over here knows a lot more than it seems"
she said while she went closer to the new member of the clan."You see,my friend here is the deadliest assassin in my clan,and she follow me and my master."
While Karai was still talking,you thought sending a distress call to Donnie.You took out your phone as secretly as you could in order nnot to ddraw attention and sent a distress call to Donnie.
You quickly placed the phone in your pocket when you sent the call.Unfortunately,Katai saw you sending the call.
At one swift movement of her hand thick white smoke filled the entire rooftop. You felt the smoke getting in your eyes,making them sting.
Your POV:
I couldnt see anything when I felt a hand grabbing me and then I was brought to someone's lap.Leo.I held onto him.
Suddenly he stopped running and then carefully placed me down sitting against a wall or something like that.
"Leo?" I asked while stretching my arms outward as a sign of distress.I felt two hands taking mine and a gentle voice talking back at me "I'm here."
Leo POV:
I was trying to make sure she was ok,the powder Karai threw must affected her cause she cant see a thing.I let her hands down before I placdd my hand on hher shoulder "Everything will be ok." I said before I got up.
As I got up though I heard her talk "Leo...about earlier...the reason I was surprised is that..." shhe paused but then she continued "I feel the same way for you." she said.My eyes widened from shock at first.
She...loves me?
Ha,haha.She loves me.
My eyes started tearing up with tears of joy and I was so shocked I couldnt speak.
"Y/n--"
*BAM*
The same echoing sound was heard again,thick smoke coming right in my face,blinding me.I took my katanas and tried to understand what was going on.
Soon enough,silence dropped upon the rooftop I was on."Y/n?" I asked.
Man...who am I kidding?Of course Karai took her.Ugh I'm so stupid.
I was alone on the rooftop with little to absolutely no sight as my best friend was kidnapped by our enemy.
I just sat there...not moving...not like I would since the lack of sight made me fearful of falling off the roof.
"LEO!" I heard a familiar scream.Donnie.Pounding footsteps came my way and then...
Two hands gripping my shoulders.
"We got your distress call,are you ok?"another bounce filled my ears.Raph.
"Y/n...karai...took her"I said trying my best not to break down.
"WHAT?!"Donnie asked surprised.
Donnie POV:
I was trying to figure out what happened when I noticed Leo's eyes.
They didnt look at us,it seemed like they did but they were staring into space."Leo?" I asked worried "Yes?" "Can...can you see us?"
The question made everyone gasp and flinch.He paused and then shook his head.I panicked.
"WE HAVE TO GWT YOU TO THE LAIR--"i shouted and took his hand over my neck to help him but he cut me off
"NO!WHAT ABOUT Y/N?"he shouted back.
"DUDE!You cant see.We have to make sure your vision is back before we make a move."
I was surprised that it was Mikey who said that.
"Cant believe I'm saying this but I agree with Mike.Y/n needs help,but so do you.Until your vision comes back,it will be dangerous to go there."
Raph said.Leo hung his head low as we started going back to the direction of the lair.
I'll try and do my best so that Leo can heal fast in order to go and save Y/n.I just hope we wont be too late.
