1 Chapter 1

"Compatibility…. Slime," said the officer who handled that year awakening process. Everyone inside the building fell silent. They looked at Dean and then looked at each other. They all burst in laugh.

"For real? Puhahaha!!!" one of them laughed holding his stomach.

"Does that mean I am above an aristocrat," said another person happy that he was above an aristocrat.

"We all are," said another person.

"His siblings must have suck dry all his luck," another person said that holding his laugh.

"What a disgrace to our family," said Dean's cousin looking at him like he was looking at shit.

All these happened a year ago when Dean went through his awakening.

Two thousand years ago, Demons appeared in Antarctica out of nowhere. When they appeared, they did not do anything but any humans came near them, they won't showed mercy and kill the human. A month after their appearance, Earth suddenly went through change. Earth became 10000 times bigger and many things happened during the expansion. Human suspected that Demons did something and made that happened however, even after 2000 years passed, humans cannot find what actually happened.

The expansion changed Earth completely. The original seven continents were gone and the new Earth had 16 continents. Animals and plants went through mutations and becomes monsters.

After the expansion, Demons suddenly started to attack humans. They slowly conquered more and more places on Earth. Not only demons, the monsters also started to attack humans. Human fought them to the best of their ability using modern weapons technologies but they were not effective.

Due to the ineffectiveness of modern weapons, humans were put in a corner. If humans did not do something, they will go extinct. In desperate moments, a group of scientists found a way to fight against the monsters and demons.

During their research of the mutated animals, the group of scientists found that not only animals and plants that mutated during the Earth expansion, but humans also went through mutations. The scientists found out that humans cannot feel the mutations because the mutations was locked inside their bodies. Humans needed to open these locks and unleashed their potentials.

It did not take humans long to found out the way to open the locks. Humans called opening these locks an awakening. Awakening can only be done by humans of age 14 and above. Humans below 14 will died upon awakening.

However, they found a new problem. Even after awakening, nothing changed to human bodies. Humans did not get superpower or magic like what they all thought. Humans did not know what went wrong and did not know what the awakening actually did to them.

Then, a man name Cloud Luke found what the awakening did. The awakening made humans to be able to absorb monster power for themselves. However, they can only absorb the monster's power from a different dimension. Luke found the dimension by accident and managed to become stronger and able to kill monster much easier.

The discovery of the dimension helped humans to finally able to defend themselves as well as drove the monsters and demons back.

The found many more problems later but found the solutions for it later. During their research, they found that humans had certain compatibility for absorption. Humans cannot absorb anything from monsters they were not compatible with. Anything the monsters dropped cannot be used if they were not compatible with it.

The compatibility discovery made humans able to plans their power up properly and pushed humans further to become stronger.

Dean came from a big and popular aristocrat family named Glitz family. All members of Glitz family awakened to a decent compatibility. Dean however broke that records.

During the awakening ceremony, Dean awakened with slime compatibility. All his siblings and cousins awakened a good compatibility but not Dean. This had made Dean's family abandoned him. They still let him stayed with the family but they treated him like he did not exist.

When teens became 16, they will all entered military high school. Normal high school did not exist anymore. Due to the highly dangerous world, all high school were turned to military high school. They still taught normal curriculum but they also taught fighting etc.

Dean was staying in his room preparing for his first day at high school. Entering high school meant that he can finally entered the first dimension to absorb monster power. Although Dean did not have any chance of becoming stronger, he still felt excited of entering the first dimension.

Spring 1 – Month 1 – Year 2001

After Earth expanded, humans found out that month and days had changed. One year contained 20 months and in one month contained 35 days. Everywhere around the world will have 4 seasons and every season lasted for 5 months.

Dean walked to school by himself. Before he awakened, the driver will drove him to school but after awakening, he was by himself. Luckily his family still at least provided him with food. Dean went to one of the most popular high school in the world, The Royal Eagle high school.

Although the school had royal on its name, many commoners entered this school too but those coming from and aristocrat and royal families were treated better than others.

Dean was walking and went to register his name. Everyone around him was looking at him. They all knew what happened to Dean. Having a slime as his compatibility meant he will stay as normal humans.

All of the students stayed away from Dean afraid that they will get his bad luck. Slime compatibility was common among commoners. Due to there was only one type of slime that can be found in the dimension, there was no chance for these people to get high up in society. An aristocrat getting that compatibility meant that he was super unlucky.

After his awakening ceremony, Dean became a loner. His first day of high school went peacefully without any problem thanks to everyone avoiding him. Dean went to the teleporter to go to the first dimension.

Dean did not care about getting stronger at this point, but he wanted to see what the first dimension looked like. Dean went inside a teleporter and was teleported to the first dimension. When Dean arrived, he saw which camp he was sent to.

"Camp 7… This is more like a small city than a camp," muttered Dean looking around amazed at the sight of camp 7 that did not look like a camp at all. It looked more like a small city with many people walking around. Dean went to register and get his own room.

"Welcome, we will assign you to your own room. What is you name?" asked the registration girl cheerfully. He looked at Dean happily welcoming him to the first dimension.

"Glitz Dean," said Dean. He said his name in low voice.

"Glitz… Dean?" said the registration girl. She knew about the infamous super unlucky Glitz Dean. She looked at Dean and forced a smile. Everyone nearby heard Dean name and slightly moved away from him. The registration girl quickly finished Dean's registration.

"Urm, this is your room key. You are assigned to Building 20 room 505," said the registration girl not looking at Dean and handed him his room key. Dean immediately took the key and left the area. Soon, news about the super unlucky Dean spread around and everyone tried their best to stay away from him.

Dean entered his room and it was a small room with kitchen, bed and toilet. That was the most basic room. As an aristocrat, he should be getting a better room but Dean did not mind at all. He knew his positions. After putting all his things inside his room, Dean decided to find himself his one and only slime.

Camp 7 was located in a middle of vast prairie. Slime was a common monster. They were docile and never attacked humans. Slime was the weakest monster. Different from other monsters, there was only one type of slime. In games, there were lots of different types of slime, however, in the dimension, there was only one type of slimes.

This slime can only be found at normal grade and inside the first dimension. There was no slime in the other dimensions. Since humans can only absorbed once from each species of monsters, it was impossible for humans with slime compatibility to become stronger since there was only one species of slime.

Daniel walked out of camp 7 and just outside the camp, he found a slime. He walked to that slime and slime happily bounced around Dean's leg.

"Why do you look so happy?" Dean felt bad that he wanted to kill the happy slime. However, Dean took out a knife, looked the other way and stabbed the slime.

'Normal grade slime killed. Absorb slime power from its core'

Dean killed the slime. The slime let out a light and a small colorless crystal was formed. Dean took the crystal and the slime body and put it in his storage. Dean decided to went back to his room and absorb the core but then he found something.

It was a colorless small marble. Dean took the marble and looked inside but it was too transparent that people might miss seeing it. He found it beautiful and decided to keep it. Dean put it into his storage.

"Hmm? Where did it go? I sure it went inside the storage!!!" Dean suddenly got an immense and painful headache. He held his head and screamed in pain, "Argghhhh!!!!!"

'New function install. Please wait for a minute' the system notified Dean who was in pain.
