6 Preparations 3

Lilian Mo decided to go home for the day after ordering takeout. As expected when she arrived at her apartment, rows and rows of trucks were lined out. She helped direct the delivery guy and his bros to place the goods in the empty warehouse of her apartment.

When all of them were gone, she naturally moved everything to the warehouse in her space. She spent hours sorting through all the stuff and making a list of all the things she bought, asking herself if she forgot something.

Her sword and daggers would take a month to finish. It was seriously too long but she has already paid extra so it would finish much earlier.

There was still a balance of 40 million yuan on her card. The electronics and solar panels really made a huge dent in her assets. She spent half of her money in just one day which would have been absurd if it was a normal day but no, this day was her preparation day for the apocalypse.

She would still come back a week later to go on another spendthrift in the mall. The clothes in the supermarket were not high-quality ones and she seriously needs thicker clothing when winter comes and the hellish season of ice invades the lands.

If it weren't for her fiancé who kept her 'warm' every night, she would probably freeze to death.

Well, not anymore. She was no longer the silly little girl who followed him around like a lost puppy. She would be someone above him! Someone much stronger and fiercer...

She would definitely be that someone!

Lilian Mo went back to her room and locked the door. She checked the time and noticed it was already pretty late, about nine in the evening.

She also received a few miss calls from the Chen family and one miss call from an unknown number. Of course, she would not answer the phone for any of the Chen family so she quickly blocked them.

She debated whether she would call back the unknown number before deciding not to bother. She also blocked that number as well, not taking any risk from a stranger.

She thought about it for a while during her dinner and decided to contact Mu Qingqing.

"Mu Qingqing, meet me tomorrow at my apartment, I have something to tell you."

The other party immediately protested.

Mu Qingqing was in the middle of placing a facial mask on her face when Lilian Mo called.

"We have school tomorrow, Momo. Don't tell me, we're skipping?" Mu Qingqing said with disbelief. She knows her Momo was an exemplary student and would never skip classes.

Lilian Mo didn't bother being polite to her. "Yes. Let's skip school."

Mu Qingqing was stunned when she heard Lilian Mo's nonchalant voice. It was contrary to her expectations.

"Are you okay? Lilian Mo, if you have a fever, I will call the hospital right now!"

Lilian Mo stopped her before she could say anything absurd. "No. I don't have a fever. I'm not sick or cold. I am dropping out of school."

If Mu Qingqing was surprised by Lilian Mo's invitation to skip class, now she was worried when she heard that she was going to drop school.

She started to panic. Why would the hardworking and straight-A student, Lilian Mo suddenly drop out of school? This was not her friend! This was some kind of alien hijacking her friend's body.

Mu Qingqing hung up and threw herself in the bathroom, locking the door as she took a shower and changed into clean clothes.

Lilian Mo stared at her phone and wondered why Mu Qingqing hung up. Was the girl worried or angry? Lilian Mo considered Mu Qingqing as a friend. Although the girl was spoiled and pampered since birth, she definitely treated Lilian Mo with kindness and has a soft spot for her.

Lilian Mo thinks it is because she saved Mu Qingqing once from being harassed by a group of gangsters.

She casually brought over some policemen and had the thugs arrested before they could do anything to Mu Qingqing. Of course, she made sure to 'teach' the thugs some lesson before they were taken by the law. Anyway, the girl followed her since then and Lilian Mo didn't have the heart to push her away.

It was during ten in the evening when she was preparing to go to bed that her phone vibrated and her doorbell rang.

"Momo! I'm here! Open the door!" Lilian Mo nearly dropped the phone from shock.

Did Mu Qingqing really drove to her apartment at this late hour?

Her brows furrowed as she opened the door and saw the beautiful girl with curly hair and pinkish lips, an average height, and a nice figure standing before her.

This was her friend, Mu Qingqing, the youngest miss of Mu family. The Mu family was rich but not as rich as veteran businessmen. They have a few restaurants and a local bakery which gave them enough income to live a life more than average.

"Momo!"

Lilian Mo sighed and gestured, "Come inside."

Mu Qingqing entered her apartment and sat on the couch. Lilian Mo prepared the girl her favorite drink which was strawberry juice. She sat across from her and sipped on her own serving.

"Momo, is what you said true? Are you really dropping out of school? And why did you cut your hair? Momo, what happened to your beautiful hair?" Mu Qingqing asked nonstop.

Lilian Mo nodded, answering the first question. "Yes. There's no point since the apocalypse is coming. As for my hair, I wanted a new look."

Mu Qingqing frowned at her words and stared with suspicion.

"Momo, are you sure that you're okay? If you're having some problems, you can talk to me."

Lilian Mo looked upwards. She didn't bother to say anything else. There was no way that the girl would believe her if she told her that the apocalypse was coming in two months' time.

Still, she could try and hope for the best. In her past life, Mu Qingqing was separated from her own fiancé Mizuki Rei who was a really decent guy. He was quite powerful during the apocalypse and became one of the many people that followed Lu Jingren.

Mizuki Rei was a mixed Chinese and Japanese. He was also a very strong wind ability user. He searched high and low for Mu Qingqing but the girl was nowhere to be found. It was only after Lilian Mo escaped did she found Mu Qingqing who became a breeder in a facility.

When she saw her friend who was round and heavily pregnant, with eyes that were almost lifeless, you could practically see her dying spirit, she almost flew out of rage and killed everyone on sight.

Though Lilian Mo managed to save Mu Qingqing, the girl was too weak and had lost all hope and before Lilian Mo could stop her, Mu Qingqing stabbed her own heart, ending her life.

That was one of the many regrets Lilian Mo had. She was unable to save the only girl that was her true friend. So in this life, she resolved to take care of her and help her reunite with Mizuki Rei.
