5 Preparations 2

Water was very scarce during the time of the apocalypse because most of the water resources were contaminated and unsafe for human consumption, causing people to rely solely on the water ability users. It also didn't help that there were mutant plants and mutant aquatic animals in the water which made it even harder for people to collect water.

Lilian Mo bought all of the water bottles on display, ignoring the loud gasps around her. She also bought herself some boxes of chocolate milk because it was her favorite drink... err.. it was Lu Jingren's favorite drink but she also got addicted to its taste and unknowingly began to share his preference for food due to how long she spent together with him.

So technically, this was also her favorite drink! Lu Jingren is not the only entitled person to like chocolate milk.

Satisfied with her reasoning, she decided to buy all of the boxes of chocolate milk. She debated whether to get herself some snacks because she wasn't very particular about junk food but since extra food wasn't unwelcomed, she also decided to buy two-thirds of everything, much to everyone's surprise.

They were really wondering why a sixteen-year-old girl could buy so many things and wanted to know what she was going to do with all of it.

She smiled at them without a hint of joy.

"It is for my family but we also have plans to donate these things to charity." She lied through her teeth and didn't feel guilty. She was planning on going back in here two months later to rob everything since there were no longer any laws or rules during the apocalypse.

While looking at the customers, Lilian Mo wondered who among them would survive the fall of the meteor and who among them would die from the mysterious disease caused by said meteor.

She pursed her lips and went to pay for everything in the counter. She was moved to another counter because of her large transaction and they had to call the Manager just to verify all of the purchases.

Lilian Mo handed over a gold platinum card that had their eyes nearly popping out of their sockets. She filled in a form for delivery and had everything sent to her address. She was currently staying in the apartment that she owned and was left to her by the old Chen couple. Only a few people lived there because she didn't want to share too much of her living space with others.

Her shopping wasn't finished. After getting the transaction done, she hopped into her car and traveled to a pharmacy. She bought all sorts of medicines and antibiotics.

With a somewhat embarrassed face, she also bought herself contraceptive pills because she could not trust people in the apocalypse, especially men. Since the population was reduced to less than 40%, there were few women that could survive in harsh conditions, and many of those that were beautiful or possessed an ability were captured and used as breeding tools to produce powerful offspring.

She knows that anyone who has a hole and a pair of jugs are often targeted by men and if you aren't backed by any powerful ability user, it was easy to get kidnapped.

Sure enough, men were creatures who could only think using their lower half. She wished that she could cut all of their lower halfs right now but sadly, it was too impossible, even for a girl who has a few golden cheats.

Lilian Mo allowed an assistant to move the boxes on her car but after closing the door, she moved everything to her space and carried on without anyone noticing.

The space had preservation abilities, meaning she didn't have to worry about anything going bad inside. It was truly an ultimate cheat for a girl in the apocalypse, especially for a foodie like her.

She went to buy herself some firearms...but then she also remembered that she was only sixteen and would definitely not be given the license to own a gun.

She decided to buy herself a sword instead and some daggers. Paying for a customized sword and dagger was not cheap and after her wild shopping, there was finally a dent in her money and assets.

She thought of buying herself land and making her own house. Though the countryside seemed a relatively peaceful and safe place to relocate, it was actually the most dangerous, considering there are a lot of plants and animals there that mutated.

Lilian Mo decided that she should also buy herself some animals. Cows, pigs, goats, geese, chickens, ducks, etc.

She bought two pairs of each, two females and two males so she could breed them and would not worry about having any source of meat. She also bought some feed for the animals before choosing to buy wheat seeds and hay.

She purchased some various herbs and a book about said herbs so she wouldn't be totally clueless. Anyway, she would study about them when she gets home.

For her last stop, she went to buy some solar panels, signed some more forms, and had them deliver to her apartment. She also bought herself some led flashlight, batteries, a mini fan for herself, and two drones. She would definitely need the drone when scouting the area ahead.

She bought more light sticks since she knows that electricity would later become a problem and the world would suffer a blackout when the apocalypse arrives. Because lightning users were extremely rare, people had to rely on wind or solar-powered machines to produce electricity.

And because of how unpredictable the weather could be, it was really hard to get access to electricity which was why Lilian Mo definitely stocked up on a lot of batteries.

She was just about to exit the mall when she noticed a camera shop. Her eyes became a bit conflicted as she hesitated. After three seconds, she decided to go inside.

'Lu Jingren used to carry a camera... He would take pictures of our meals together... I never understood why he did it until later..' Lilian Mo was never comfortable with the way Lu Jingren would take her picture when she wasn't looking.

One time, she found his collection that was full of her pictures, all stolen shots, and all authentic photos that he took when they would eat together. There were so many of them that were taken from all different angles that it really freaked her out and she was unable to look at him in the eye for days because of that.

While holding a camera, Lilian Mo bit her lip and found herself buying one.
