3 Her Fiancé

After digesting the huge amount of information that entered her mind, Lilian Mo finally had a huge understanding of where she was and what this strange place is.

It was a special dimension that was a part of her abilities and it was awakened after she was reborn.

In this place, there was an abundance of fresh air and special qi that allowed the crops and plants to mature quickly. There was fertile soil and clear spring water with healing and strengthening properties that could cleanse her bone marrow.

It was great information considering she needed that to further upgrade her ability.

Inside the space, there was also a small cabin that looked similar to a warehouse while there were plum blossom trees surrounding it. The smell made her feel calm and at peace.

The last and most useful information that entered her mind was that the time flow in the space was different from the real world. Time in the space was only 1/10 of the time in the real world.

Lilian Mo couldn't help but laugh when she found out about this. This was certainly the heavens giving her favor for her past life's suffering.

This space will be her paradise when the apocalypse comes.

It will be her perfect little facility where she could grow all the crops she wanted and never have to grow hungry again.

This meant that she wouldn't have to rely on her scumbag fiancé who was only interested in her body.

Lilian Mo felt angry just by thinking about him but she couldn't really dwell on her anger towards him.

He was a lonely man and she was the only person he had ever opened up to. Because of his selfish personality, he never wanted to let her out of his sight and would go as far as locking her inside their room.

Being his family's illegitimate child, her fiancé was ostracized and criticized by many. People gossiped about him and called him names, always telling him how he was a bastard child that didn't deserve to live.

Lilian Mo was probably the only person who had ever been nice and genuine to him. But because of these actions of her, he became quite obsessed with keeping her with him.

Although she didn't hate him, Lilian Mo hated his actions for caging her like some animal. In this life, she wouldn't meet up with him.

Today was May 5th and she was supposed to have a dinner date with him later in the evening but she decided not to go.

Lilian Mo was her family's adopted daughter. The Chen family took care of her out of obligation from her deceased parents.

Sadly, the couple passed away a year ago. Even in death, the two held hands together and never let go. In their last will, they spoke about an arranged marriage for Lilian Mo and the illegitimate young master of the Lu family, Lu Jingren.

Lu Jingren, her fiancé, a selfish man who only cares about himself and his people was the person that the old Chen couple arranged for her to marry.

She did not know their reasons but it was said in the letter that they knew about Lu Jingren's birthmother who was their benefactor before, the woman that allowed the old couple to reconcile with each other when they had a falling out.

They naturally cared for Lu Jingren since he was their benefactor's son and became worried about his future.

Coincidentally, Lilian Mo was an orphan and didn't have any adults to rely on so they figured that matchmaking the orphaned Lilian Mo and the illegitimate child Lu Jingren would be a great idea.

The two children wouldn't have to worry about not finding any suitable partner in the future. The old Chen couple also left half of their money to Lilian Mo while the other half to the rest of the Chen family. Knowing that Lilian Mo wouldn't suffer or struggle for a living in this life, they relaxed.

With this in mind, the old Chen couple was at peace when they passed away. Because Lilian Mo respected the old Chen couple and was grateful to them, she ended up accepting this arranged marriage in her past life even though she really did not want to get married to an unknown man.

When she met up with him, she wasn't surprised by her cold behavior towards her or his snobby attitude. She patiently coaxed him and tried to understand his personality better because she wanted their marriage to work for the sake of the old Chen couple's wishes.

She was nice to him, accompanied him wherever he went, and cooked him lunch all the time.

Though he would often ignore her presence, he did not reject her food and would even demand that she cook all his meals.

Lu Jingren wasn't an easy person to get along with but Lilian Mo tried her best and just when she couldn't take his cold attitude anymore and be ready to leave, the apocalypse arrived and he trapped her before she could get away.

She was only sixteen when she became his prisoner. She spent her three years being confined in his villa before she managed to escape.

In this life, Lilian Mo would not meet up with him. She had already paid all her gratitude to the old Chen couple by taking care of the Chen family in her previous life and for accepting Lu Jingren.

Though he might develop a grudge against her for not showing up during their dinner date today, Lilian Mo believed that it was for the best that they go on separate ways in this life.

Anyway, she was not too worried about him. Lu Jingren was a strong person who made his own base in the apocalypse and surrounded himself by equally powerful people.

He would definitely do fine on his own without her.
