1 ~ 1: Uniting the Heroes ~

It was another ordinary day in Springdale, the crops that were harvested decreased by a lot, causing the residents to only eat once a day, animals can no longer produce offsprings to multiply, and the minerals to forge a weapon are long gone, they were forced to use sticks and stones again.

In the headquarters, the governor, Governor Saturn, decided to make a crucial move. After hearing terrible news for the past few weeks, he knew he had to do it, it was the only chance- he thought.

One cold midnight, a man in a large cloak with a lamp ventured out to go for the famous tavern. This tavern is known for the people who lives there; the heroes. These heroes gained their title by saving villages from raids, from decaying crops, infertile animals and other problems in terms of livestock.

In order to get a hero to help you in your town, he/she must sign a contract.

The contract must include the hero's role in town, how many days, months or years he/she's going to stay, and the amount of money that he/she'll be getting as an income.

There was a light in a distance.

The steps of the cloaked man hastened and finally reached his destination.

The cloaked man opened the tavern doors and caught everyone's attention.

The heroes were in the middle of a fiesta, their smiles turned into disappointed frowns.

"I need to speak with 5 heroes. I have a contract, please do check and see if you have any similar abilities that are stated in it." The cloaked man pulled his hood back.

"I am Governor Saturn of the town Springdale, and I am desperate for your help."

Governor Saturn made his way to the stage and placed the contract on a podium. The heroes formed a line to check the contract one by one.

But almost all of them were not interested to help the desperate governor.

It was at this point that the governor has lost his hope.

"I apologize for wasting all of your time. I guess I am not suitable of being a leader in a town that was used to be a paradise by thousands of people. We were intoxicated by wars and raids that caused our paradise to fall. Many innocent lives were taken away, men, women and children. And if I don't seek for any help at this very moment, my town will slowly be corrupted by the shadows and will become one of their territories, causing another rapid reproduction of evil. It will be harder for us to fight them due to their increase of armies. Please. I beg all of you."

The governor kneeled, begging for the last time. He'd never kneeled to anyone, until this very day.

There was a light giggle from a corner. Her bright blonde hair and bright emerald eyes shined in the dark. Her elf ears twitched as she approached the pleading governor.

"G'deve. I'm Fionnè Bloomstrider of the Night Elves Sisterhood. I am a Celestial Psychic, a hidden branch of Sorcery. Although I am capable of helping you with your crops and any agricultural works." Her smile almost brightened the tavern, making everyone smile as well. The symbol on her forehead glowed as well.

Behind her is a blue haired man who is heavily armored, his giant sword swayed on every step he takes behind him.

"I am Marshall Nightsong. A son of a right hand general of Almeda."

Almeda is the capital of their continent: Enpotheca.

"I want to help you when it comes to your army." he coldly said and went beside Fionnè.

A lady sighed behind the counter and hopped out with a couple of bottles clanking beside her.

"I'm Autumn Everett, an Elder of the High Class Apothecaries. I work great with potions. I might be handy for your damned town. And yes, I'm short. I'm a half goblin." She flipped her red braided hair and went beside the governor.

Then, 2 creatures, one is an orc and the other, a dwarf, approached the governor.

"Howdy! I'm Dex Rootshire, I'm very handy when it comes to forging better equipments for 'ya. This is my brother, Gino. He's very resourceful and can easily find minerals in no time! He helps me look for a mineral that I need to make sturdier armors and weapons." said the charming orc.

The heroes surrounded the governor.

The governor gave them the contract, each of them signing on it and continued to pass it to other people.

"Wow. One million gold to each of us for 4 years of helping the governor with his town? Isn't that too much?" asked Autumn.

The governor shook his head and smiled.

"Come my children, let me take you home."

The governor left the tavern with his newly hired heroes.
