3 Reaching The Goal

I was so far from it right now and by the time I even reach the mountains he will be searching for me, I need to find a hidden den or a hidden cave. As much as I was far enough by now it wouldn't take long for him to reach me, I was so tired, so... Hungry that I needed to hunt dor food and a place to stay, somewhere... ANYWHERE! I need to maybe find a burrow and use one of my shrinking potions.

So I went to look around and sure enough, under a lot of bramble and bushes I found a burrow. "finally!" I yelled as I pulled out a potion and drank it. I began to feel a tingling sensation as I slowly begin to shrink, it didn't hurt as all my body would shrink as one and not one after the other. Success! I was able to crawl into the burrow, of course getting all dirty in the first place but it was just to get in, I then pulled out another potion and drank it, this time it was one to turn me into a hare, just so I am not found out if they begin searching smaller areas, this burrow seems to still have some food left in it probably from the hares that occupied it and then left. So I just ate it, it isn't the best thing to do but I need the energy and the calories to make it through the night, it was nice and warm in here... Safe from anything like predators, hunters and...him.

I rest my eyes, I needed to...they stung and they wouldn't stay open, so I fell asleep. A couple of hours into my slumber I heard thumps and voices. Leaves making a crispy crunch, people were above me, three voices speaking to each other, I did not recognise these voices... Nor did I think there would be people here, it was a dangerous forest I stumbled upon, but I guess they are really high level, meaning they were very strong. I lay there still, listening to them banter about things and laughing. Then I heard them talking about HIM, how horrible and annoying he was. I knew that already but I continued to listen anyway, they were talking about how one day they would defeat him, how they would train and train until they were his level or higher! It was honestly refreshing to hear people were so motivated about something, listening to their goals... Having fun and laughing together around a fire... It sounded really nice in my head. I was hoping one day I would have that kind of team.

The hours went past and their voices became lower and lower, some sounded as though they were asleep, it only became two voices, they were talking about their future together... How they want to be with each other forever and all that romantic crap. I honestly don't see myself in another relationship but theirs sounds nothing like what mine was, they had the freedom to express themselves, no one told the other what to do or wear, and they always want to adventure side by side... It sounds... nice, it seemed to help me sleep as I passed out listening to them.

The next day came and it was quiet, I must have slept in, I peeked my head out and those people seem to be gone, not a soul in sight. Was just the circle of stones with ash laying in the middle, I guess it was also time for me to get going, I saw a berry that usually lifts potion spells so I munched on one, I turned human and grew back to my former size, I grabbed my clothes that were hidden away from sight and began to get dressed constantly looking around to make sure no one sees me. I then fixed my hair and continue on my way to the mountain, there was a gentle breeze today that blew my hair a little but it felt nice, it was fresh clean air compared to that damn castle. I could hear birds, see animals living their life, they were so cute and fluffy!

Grass blades and dead leaves were gently being pushed around the ground and birds in the sky gliding with the wind! Soft fluffy clouds floating around the blue clear sky, finally I can experience the outside world to its fullest, despite being so open to others there aren't many attacks, its pretty peaceful here in this world, yes there are rivalries but that it's usually dealt with sparring with each other. There are monsters and giant creatures but they only appear in places with much popularity, like a village or a city! But even they have large gates and walls to protect themselves, at least from smaller things than giants. At least... That's how I remember it, I don't know if much has changed from the years I've been locked up in that castle.

After another couple of hours, I reached the base of the mountains! I was so relieved! I got to the base at least and it wasn't full-on climbing, there was a hiking path to take over and to the other side, no harm in having a small hike to build up stamina! I excised before it to get my leg muscles stretched and ready to go! Once I was done I was off, beginning the trail. I hummed to myself while being on guard, as peaceful as it is people were still hunting me down and I had to be ready!

While I was on the trail I pulled out my potion book to open and check if I needed any herbs, I seem to be missing a few but I had a fair amount of money to buy more if I couldn't find any. So I continued on my way and picking herbs I'll need for more potions, looking at my secret page, hidden from the naked eye to others apart from the owner and whomever they give permission to, I open it to a potion not yet completed, it was something I was working on for a very long time, it was a potential cure for the curse I was under. I was very close to getting it but for so long I have not found the final ingredients and it was tormenting me. I needed to buy a brewer from this place, hopefully they sold them. So close to the cure yet so far... This will take forever!

After cussing at myself for hours and a couple of times tripping I finally got the other side of the mountains and the view of the village was breathtaking. It was a view I never thought I'd see anything like this again!  I could hear voices from here it was so busy! It seemed like there was music too! I began to just run down with a wide smileon my face! Finally I'd be free at least even for a little while! My heart was pounding and tears were swelling up inmy eyes and down my face! My hair flyingin the air as I slid all the way down on my feet! Freedom at last! So much to see and I can't wait!
