He meets a God named D.O.G. in the afterlife. Which, of course, stands for Decrepit Old Geezer. Why did the God need three different words for elderly? Dog only knows. The Hayden Family has a curse, one that can be doubled as a blessing if viewed in the right way. Your Great (x1059) Grandfather sacrificed himself and his descendants to appease the Gods. The Gods agreed that if his family takes upon themselves a curse to have deaths that can make the Gods entertained, they can guarantee they won't destroy the world. The blessing is that after the Hayden Family Members' deaths, they are granted a certain amount of wishes determined by how many Gods they made laugh by their downfall. Leo Hayden made only one God laugh, but that God is the ruler of all Gods, the God known as D.O.G.
