I'm a colossal?

"Astrel, remember to wear your contacts," his dad said.

"Why... why do I have to live in hiding?" Astrel asked.

For sixteen long years, Astrel has been keeping a secret from everyone he knows. He's never understood how or why he came to have it, especially since no one else seems to suffer from the same condition.

"Do you want to be seen as a monster?" He said with a stern voice.

He shook his head.

Astrel entered the bathroom and looked up at the mirror, where he saw his bright green eyes staring back at him.

He thought, 'All my life, I hated my green eyes and never felt like I belonged anywhere. Am I really a monster?'

He grabbed his backpack and said, "I'm off to school, Dad." He nodded.

As he stepped outside, Astrel gazed at his mansion-like home. Despite his apparent wealth, he knew little about his father's occupation or the whereabouts of his mother. Even with all the wealth, Astrel feels empty on the inside.

Astrel picked up his bike and began to pedal.

Astrel Brightwood is a tall sixteen-year-old who has pale skin like snow. His jet-black hair complements his green eyes, which remain hidden.

Astrel was on his way to school when he noticed a man up ahead wearing a dark coat and a hat that covered half of his face. It seemed strange to Astrel that anyone would wear such heavy clothing in the middle of summer, but he chose not to dwell on it and continued on his way.

He stopped pedaling when he passed a strange man in a dark coat who said something.

"Your eyes..." the strange man said.

The shock was evident in Astrel's eyes as he frantically searched his bag, causing its contents to spill, for his phone. He finally grabbed it. Looking at the camera, his contacts are there.

A gust of cool wind blew past Astrel, and suddenly, he felt a sharp object pressing against his neck. He turned his head to the right and saw a strange man standing beside him. The man was holding a pointed object that resembled a katana.

"H-how?" Astrel blurted in shock.

He didn't hear any footsteps, even if the strange man was six feet away from him.

"Stop acting stupid like you didn't know outlier!" the strange man said.

Astrel looked at the angry stranger's face and thought, "Your eyes are yellow!" completely ignoring what the stranger said.

Astrel's behavior left the stranger baffled, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. It seems like Astrel really doesn't know anything. The strange man withdraws his sword.

"How old are you?" the strange man asked Astrel.

"H-huh, oh I'm sixteen," Astrel replied.

"Do you know that you are a colossal?"

"Colossal?" Astrel said with confusion evident in his voice.

The strange man figured it out.

"It seems that you are one of the seeds that are brought to the human world," said the strange man.

"Okay look here, mister, I am very much curious why we have the same eye color but first of all you were just about to take my life a few seconds ago and now you're speaking nonsense?" Astrel arched one of his eyebrows, as he spoke.

The unfamiliar man let out a sigh, indicating his surrender.

"My name's Zachary and I'm an executioner. I execute outliers which are Colossals who decided to live in the human world, and you young man are a Colossal, but it seems that you are not aware," the strange man explained.

"Uh.. yes I totally understood," Astrel said while brushing the back of his neck letting out an awkward smile.

Zachary gave Astrel a blank stare obviously judging him.

"Okay okay, you've been saying this but what the heck is a Colossal?" Astrel asked.

"Colossals are extraordinary people that have heightened senses, strength, or even people that can bend earth. Usually, their eyes appear yellow, green, and rarely blue."

"Basically, you're saying, I have superpowers? Old man, are you mentally ill?"

Zachary once again let out a sigh and muttered, "Kids these days."

"You kid, watch carefully," Zachary said and suddenly disappeared into thin air.

"What the f-AHHHH!" Astrel screamed when he felt a tap at the back of his shoulder. He turned to his back and said, "Dude! How did you pull that? Did you teleport or something?!"

This is my first project and there will be obvious errors that I will try to go back and fix in the future. I hope you enjoy, Thank you!
