13 Twelfth Color

As Athena and Pallas entered the inn, they were amazed by the modern interior and the well designed layout of the inn. There were waiting chairs along with a few desks for the managers to help them check in.

Everything was organized.

But they didn't have time to be amazed, they needed to check in.

"Hello, I came to check into our room." said Athena.

"Your name please?" asked the manager.

"Athena Lysque." said Athena.

"Athena Lysque....room A-1, upstairs to the right." said the manager.

"Thank you." said Athena.

"Thank you too, have a good day." said the manager.

"Athena, how much did the room cost? This place seems expensive." whispered Pallas.

"A few hundred dollars including everything I want." said Athena.

"I'm definitely going to pay you back!" said Pallas.

"You don't need to, just think of it as a gift from me." said Athena.

"But-"

"No buts."

"Jeeeez."

When they made it into their room, they were amazed again. It was as if this was just made for them, a bedroom with a huge closet, a living room along with a mini kitchen, and even a fridge full of foods and drinks.

"Did that few hundred dollars include all of this?" asked Pallas.

"Yep, but it's worth it." said Athena.

"How?"

"Because there's also a private outdoor hot springs for us."

"I see, now I understand." said Pallas in a serious tone.

This made Athena laugh, 'I guess she really likes the hot springs.'

Unknown to Athena, Pallas had actually always wanted to try out the hot springs but her parents wouldn't let her. Now that they left and she was with Athena, she was now able to try it.

But there was another problem to worry about.

"Do we have any spare clothing?" asked Pallas.

"Um....no." replied Athena.

"You came here without bringing anything?"

"Well, you said you wanted it to be a surprise so I wasn't prepared."

"Then I guess we're going shopping!"

"Hey- wait-"

Before Athena could even say anything else, she was pulled out of the door with her hands intertwined with Pallas's hands.

While they were walking in the streets of Vurse Town, many people looked at their pink atmosphere and smiled, they were like a couple and reminded them of their younger days.

What's more, their relationship looked like something straight out of a novel.

'A birth of a newly wed.' thought them all.

Athena and Pallas made it into a clothing store and started looking through it. The design of the clothes along with how they were made was amazing. Picking a few hoodies along with a few shirts, they decided to try it out.

Athena was currently waiting for Pallas to come out, nearly falling asleep, she was suddenly pulled into the dressing room. She was not prepared for this, she couldn't handle it.

Pallas's naked back was facing at her and Athena's face was growing more and more red.

"Help me put this together." said Pallas trying to put the two knots together.

But her hands couldn't reach as she her arms were a bit too short.

"S-sure." said Athena.

She calmed her trembling hands and helped Pallas put the two knots together. Athena immediately got out of the dressing room and leaned against the wall. Her heart was racing and the heat of her cheeks wasn't cooling down at all.

When she came out, she was back in her regular outfit which confused Athena.

"Aren't you going to show me what you got?"

"It's a surprise."

This made Athena groan, how many more surprises was she going to get?

"Are you going to try out the clothes you got?" asked Pallas.

Athena thought about it for a moment, 'I would but Pallas would definitely sneak in.'

"Nope, I'm all good." said Athena.

Finishing their shopping, they went outside as the sun started setting the red and cotton candy like color filled the sky.

As they were walking somewhere else, Athena spotted a bookstore called "Vurse's Library of Novels."

Pulling on Pallas hand, Athena led Pallas to the bookstore.

Inside, there was a single person whom she assumed was the manager.

"Hello and welcome." said the manager.

"Thank you." replied Athena.

Looking through the bookstore, there were many novels written by Vurse, "Cupid's Agenda, Meeting Her, and one with no title."

Going up to the counter, she asked the manager, "Why does this book have no color?"

"Because it's supposed to be like that. The start of it is colorless and by the end of it, hopefully it'll be colorful." replied the manager.

Athena looked at the book in her hands, somehow she had felt a slight connection to the book.

"I want it!" said Pallas.

Athena turned over to Pallas who was already by the counter buying the book.

She could only sigh at the sight, her cheerful attitude often led to things Athena couldn't keep up with.

Putting the books down, she went towards Pallas.

"Are you going to write in this book?" asked Athena.

"Hmm, maybe or maybe not." said Pallas skipping out of the store with a smirk.

That's when they both heard loud noises coming from the other side of the road...
