10 Ninth Color

I arrived in front of Pallas's mansion and it still amazes me, it was a few times bigger than my apartment.

RING!

I pressed the doorbell and waited a few moments.

The door opened revealing a Pallas with messy hair and tired eyes.

"Yo!" I said.

"What're you doing here?" asked Pallas.

"I came to check up on you." I replied.

I touched her forehead with the back of my hand and it was burning.

"You're burning, go sit on the couch." I said.

"Fine." replied Pallas.

I had to hold up her arm to make sure she wouldn't trip on anything, is she really okay?

"Don't worry, this always happens when I get sick." said Pallas.

"I see, then I don't have to worry. I'm going to make porridge for you." I said.

I made my way to the kitchen and prepared the ingredients while Pallas was currently on the couch watching the TV.

After 20 minutes, the porridge was done and I made my way towards Pallas.

"Here's your porridge." I said placing it on the table.

"Feed me." said Pallas.

Well, she is sick after all so I couldn't really complain.

I blew on the spoon to cool it and brought it to Pallas's mouth.

"This is good." said Pallas.

"Thank you, I always cooked for myself so my food is decent after all." I said.

"Is there anything you can't do?" I asked.

"Hmmm, I can't walk fast." I replied.

We both chuckled as I fed her.

Silence came over us as I fed her while she watched her show on the TV, though it was a comfortable silence.

After she finished the porridge, I was about to clean up when I felt a pair of arms around me.

"Stay." muttered Pallas.

Before I knew it, I put down the bowl and sat next to Pallas.

In an instant, Pallas was suddenly on top of me with her head on her chest and put a blanket over us.

"Pallas?" I managed to croak out.

"Stay like this, it's comfortable." said Pallas.

Before I could even protest, she already fell asleep on me.

I couldn't help but worry that I would catch her fever, well I was already sick anyways.

I wasn't going to be alive much longer so I enjoyed this moment.

Stroking her hair, I also fell asleep with my arms around her back.

.

.

I woke up due to something poking my cheeks, opening my eyes.

I saw a Pallas with a smug smile poking my cheeks.

"Good morning sleeping beauty~" said Pallas.

"*Sigh* What time is it?" I asked.

"It's about 11 at night." replied Pallas.

"Eh?" I muttered out.

"Un, it's eleven at night." said Pallas.

"I heard you the first time, though didn't we sleep too long? It was only four when we slept." I said.

"Who knows, maybe because it was just comfortable." said Pallas.

"Yeah, yeah." I said getting up.

"How do you feel right now?" I ask.

"Better, it seems your body cures me." said Pallas with a wink.

My face was getting hot but I paid it no mind.

"Wanna go on a night drive?" I ask.

"Really?" asked Pallas with stars in her eyes.

"Yeah, it's not like we're going to go back to sleep." I said.

"True, let me get ready!" said Pallas.

In about 5 minutes, she had already changed.

"That was quick."

"Of course, it's rare for you to ask me out after all."

Well, that's true.

.

.

Currently we were speeding through the highway, somehow this really feels romantic.

"Give me your hand." said Pallas.

"Why?"

"Just do it."

I held out my left hand and she intertwined it with her right hand.

"What's this?" I asked.

"I saw this from a movie, I wanted to test it out."

"So how is it?"

"It's comfortable and warm."

This gives me a strange feeling to my stomach, maybe being alive wasn't so bad after all.

The stars illuminated the sky as colors appeared in my vision, the city was dark yet comfortable.

The moonlight lighting our path as I drove through the highway with my hand intertwined with Pallas's.

Is this what being a couple feels like?

It felt nice like this, I could only wish things could stay like this forever.

But nothing last forever, especially nice things.
