2 Chapter 2:A new journey

(In a carriage)

We we're in a carriage when we heard a commotion outside,me and Eddy looked in the window and I asked the maid to ask the coachman what is happening outside and after 10 minutes the maid said that there's a child who needs a doctor and the old woman was begging the coachman to let the child go with us to see a doctor in the next town and I asked if it's a cold and the maid said it was pneumonia I told the maid that it was okay for the child to go with us but the child needs to be in the other carriage because he might spread it with us and we can't get sick because me and Eddy are going to attend a ball three weeks from now we had an extra carriage for buying souvenirs.

I can't turn a blind eye for a child because the old woman was pitiful and she lived here in a remote place so I shall lend them a hand.The child was 2 years younger than us [He is six years old] I saw a glimpse of him he has blond hair.Eddy told me that I should not help random people all the time because they might be spies or people who leach off noble people.I said I know what I am doing but he still scolded me for an hour.

(Lounge of a Hostel)

We arrived at the town of pleurer pour la pluie and I ask for 5 rooms one for me and Eddy,Maids,Child and the Knights,Coachman will share because they don't have enough rooms I can't use magic openly because it is taboo to use magic when you are a child without supervision or if it's not for self defense.

I had to cure him in a secluded area I asked Eddy to sense if their was magicians nearby and he confirmed that their wasn't so I started the spell [I cant delay curing him because he might die] and after a minute he was now fine his just sleeping so I told the maid to change his clothes but before that wash him up so that he was clean.

It was afternoon so we arrive much earlier because Eddy applied a boost spell on horse and I applied a resistance spell on the carriage and the horse so I can cure the child much faster.I called for the maids [We have three maids with us] and asked for tea and some snacks because we and Eddy need to relax.Oh! and it seems Eddy wants to discuss something but his hesitating to tell me I already knew him for 4 years so I know when he won't tell me things.

I won't pry for now but I will talk to him when we are in my father's house but I can get some reactions before that...

Cordelia:Eddy it seems you are troubled this days and I think your not your usual self you didn't speak much after you scolded me.Are you perhaps hiding something from me?

Eddy:I'm... not I was just... thinking about some irrelevant stuff.. what made you think of something like that are you perhaps hiding something?

Arghhh!! his bad at lying his clearly avoiding the question it self to change the topic!!!

Cordelia:I was merely concern as a friend why wouldn't I be troubled by such facial features that showed such expressions [You can't change the topic Eddy]

Eddy:I was also merely expressing my opinions and the fact and the boy seemed to have woken up.

[He really is hiding something but he won't tell me!]

Maid:Young lady [greeted by the maid]

Where is he? [I asked the maid]

Maid:He insisted on meeting you...

Tell him to come at my room later to discuss about it right now we need to eat dinner.

(Dinning room at the hostel)

I'm eating with Eddy but he absent minded and was just barely eating so I got up and walk towards him and whispered into his ear if you don't eat I will feed you my self! and he seemed startled by what I said after all I'm a lady and also a noble so I should not be muttering such words but it's fun to tease him! and he looked like a tomato he was bright red like rubies and his ears are also like that and I smiled and laugh on how cute he was.

He was too embarrassed so I actually feed him! but he didn't like it that much the first time but he still accepts the food.after that I went to my room to have a discussion with the boy.He seemed weak and could be mistaken for a girl because he was thin and handsome.he politely went to his knees and introduced him self but I said to not kneel at me because I don't really like it when people kneel for me.

Good evening miss,I am Johen Eastorwine I want to discuss about something involving my family....

Cordelia:Then let's start discussing

Johen:I want... to be a magic knight can you help me miss?

[Hmm... I like his determination but I want to make a contract so if he quits he still will work for me]

Cordelia:I can but I have a few conditions,are you willing to agree to them?

Johen:Then I liked to hear about it and make my decision

Cordelia:First you will be in the house of Indulf and you will also have the last name of Indulf and don't worry I will talk with the baron and the baroness you can go home but only four times a year and must be escorted by someone.

Johen:Okay but I would like to go home after this trip to talk with my grandma

Cordelia:Then we shall sign a contract and a vow by heavens but for now a vow can do because I need to do the paper work before we do that.

[He went down by his knees and held my hand]

Johen:I Johen Eastorwine vow to serve Cordelia Indulf for as long as she wants

Cordelia:I Cordelia Indulf will be the master of Johen Eastorwine for as long as I want it to be

and now the contract is formed I sent him back to his room and retire for the night.
