'WHAT WAS THAT…?'

'Anyway haven't eaten for like ages!' Reminding myself as I got up from my bed. Keeping the Caron-Strap aside, I sat there as if I was strangled with some mysterious force. But the pain which I was feeling , due to my hunger helped me to snap out of it!

'Its probably mid night! There should be something kept for me in the kitchen.'

But while I approached the hall, I could sense a demonic aura flushing out of the room. Ya I could easily guess what was going to happen to me next. My mom was sitting on the sofa. FRUSTRATED!

'Where were you?'

'I… was in my room, mom!'

'Oh? So what were you doing there shutting up?'

Silence was unpar. Couldn't think of anything, what was I suppose to say so that my backbone remains intact! 'Studying… I was studying mom…'

'Ohh? Is it! Then why didn't you answer up when I called you for more than seven times?'

'…Ah… I had my earphones on, so probably I missed out when you might have called for me!'

'So why are you here at this point of time?'

'Wasn't is obvious? I mean your son didn't eat a crumb the whole day and at middle of night you ask him what was he doing while you have seen him approaching towards the kitchen, are you playing dumb?' I thought those inside of my mind, wouldn't dare to utter those out of my mouth as it might worsen the mood which was uplifted a little bit.

'Mom, I'm starving, can I get something to eat!?'

'Dinner is on the table, go fetch yourself a spoon and have your dinner.'

It was rice tuned with my favorite chicken stew, yeah I could tell you that it felt heavenly when I took a scoop of rice into my mouth. As the food went down my tummy, I could precisely feel the void being filled.

Mika was in her room, sound asleep.

Well when you are out of the game, after logging out, your avatar freezes at the place where you were last residing while you were inside the game. Death inside the game results disqualification. So people might try to pull off dirty tricks to get you disqualified. So after you are successfully being logged out of the game, your avatar becomes translucent, in other words you can see through the body which is called a savepoint, on which there will be no effects of either physical nor any magical spells attacks, keeping your avatar exactly unharmed and intact. If someone tries to hit it with any possible physical or magical attacks it would just pass through the body, keeping it safe while you are in the real world.

'Quite fascinating right?' I blabbered while burying face into the pillow.

'Wake up, wake up… big brother, Tomoyo is here.'

'Stop shouting Rika! I can hear you very well and why is Tomoyo here all in morning?'

Rika said, 'How would I be knowing? Go, ask for yourself.'

I got off the bed, climbing down the stairs a d rubbing my left eye I asked, 'What do you want?'

'Why aren't you dressed up?' Tomoyo enquired.

I nearly forgot that we were supposed to go to school and we were nearly very late!

'Wait a minute, I will be right back.' I barged into my room, got dressed up in a couple of minutes, grabbed my bad and a sandwich and we were off to the school. But yeah, we were late. Ad we were new, we anyhow skipped out punishment and all nagging!

My body was in the class room, but couldn't say the same thing for my mind. I don't know what I wanted at that very point of time. I could feel my inner self calling out as if it wanted to runaway, JUST RUNAWAY.

Ishida asked, 'Hey Taki, Taki… Tchhh, hey… you better concentrate here, we will join up once we get home. I cant wait to wear Caron-Strap again!'

It wasn't my enthusiasm about the game that much I was sure enough about myself. 'Yeah, Yeah… We will, I too am excited, cant wait to get inside Rampage.'

Time passed by as if it was a tireless butterfly dancing nonstop through out the sky.

Eventually classes came to halt. Mika wasn't there in my class, probably in other section maybe; maybe my heart quenched to see her!

I came out of the class, running in the corridor, peaking into every class room as if I was any stalker. But couldn't find her. 'She might have left sooner or might be absent too.' I told myself.

'Hey Taki,… haaa… haaa… Taki why did you ran off?' Tomoyo calling out for me as he was panting and struggling to get his breathe back as he has been tailing me the whole school, that too for nothing!

'Nah… its nothing'

'You surely are acting weird, I have been seeing since yesterday.'

'Nope man, you are just overthinking things.' I replied in my defense.

As we walked by the game shop, we saw that the shop was entirely deserted! Not a single soul couldn't be found where as just the previous day at this very moment it was swarming with hoards of people.

'Guess the shop surely made a fortune.' Ishida said.

Tomoyo nodded in agreement in the matter. He also added, 'Why they wouldn't? After all this game is one of its own kind!'

'Isn't the world much colorful now?' I bluttered out silently.

Ishida said, 'What was that again?'

'Nothing… see ya inside Rampage'

I felt myself very dumb for running away like that. I kept my bag on my table, as I could already see my lunch was already being served, guess Rika had this part taken a good care of her part.

'Such a caring little sister I am being blessed with ' I reminded myself while nomming on my lunch.

'Guess its time to head back inside, I probably don't wanted to get late again!'
