On a night where Michael was fighting his usual sleepiness while complaining to himself 'Fuck I still want to read more why do I have to sleep.' Michael then forced himself to stay awake and read a chapter more but his sleepiness made the chapter seem boring and dull so he gave up while crying in his heart obviously.

Right before he sleep he said to himself 'just a chapter more' but as he didn't notice it another day passed and Michael have read the novel without any sleepiness.

ONE-SHOT

Damn Korean novel is really interesting, well to me it's fresher than Chinese novel or Japanese novel that I am tired reading off, but of course their anime and manga is still the best.

(Seriously, the first novel I read Is a Japanese one since I want to know the story faster than the manga so I already read hundreds of Japanese novel that I am bored of it, the same is true as I read numerous Chinese novel in Qindian when I got addicted to novel but before Qindian I read novel in Royal Road I even posted an unfinished novel there)

Michael thought while going trough a chapter of a novel created by an author name Toy Car, Michael who was bored was looked for more novel when he clicked one of his favourite novel EEC and it's author and he began to read the author's other work and he was enchanted that he read until 140 chapter in 10 hours but now his sleepiness is overwhelming and he can't read anymore he sometimes even doze into a short nap, Michael cried In his heart before brushing his teeth while complaining.

"Why do I have to sleep now, I mean I know the answer biologically but still it's so frustrating when I want to read a novel all at once I can't because I have to sleep and when I have a great dream it ended midway because I woke up, I fucking have those halfway excitement." Michael want to grumble more but he can feel that his body is getting heavier because he is a little sleep deprived.

(This is a novel that I made to vent my personal feeling, hell generally all the novel I made have that in mind."

Michael then entered his room glancing at his phone that is charging, "Alright just one more." Since he was about to read a chapter Michael didn't took of the charger.

Michael then procced to read the next chapter, since he is sleepy, he won't need an alarm to remind him of time right, so Michael sat down and began to rad the novels, clicking next chapter and next chapter without noticing hours passed.

(Heh! Did you all thought that the MC is going to be electrocuted so he will gain a system ,superpower or something too bad it's not the way, Disappointed ?.)

As he is often immersed in his novel word for hours his mother didn't call out Michael to eat breakfast and if he really is hungry he will come out on his own. Hours more passed and it's finally night again. Once again Michael's mother is not worried since he did have numerous snack in his room that could fill his stomach, in fact it happened twice or more before.

(Of course, my IRL mom would drag me out to bath and eat her cooking.)

Finally, as the day turn into night Michael groaned in pleasure and satisfaction while his bones is making popping noise from his stretching. "Ah… it is indeed a good novel as expected from the creator of Everyone Else is a Returnee, I guess I will read the other novel….." Michael paused his last sentence because he saw the time on his phone.

(What I am planning to do, as I am writing this I am reading the Infinite Competitive Dungeon Society at 120s chapter and perhaps when I post this one I would have finished the novel and is reading Toy Car other work)

"What's happening did time stop. "but of course, a second later he got his answer. Michael looked at the calendar in his phone and saw that a day have passed.

He went out from his room and confirmed it with his mom, Michael then felt his stomach rumbling so he ate his dinner while thinking about this issue, then he finally come into a conclusion "Did the legend finally work!" Michael said in surprise.

There is a legend in internet and manga that he read, the legend stated, if you are really sleepy and managed to withstand it for the next 24 hours you will feel livelier and energic.

Of course he had tried it before but the only feeling he got was lethargic, tiredness, dullness, and sleepiness.

Michael didn't spend a long time to think about it more carefully, he took a bath and began to read the other novel that stated it only have 53 chapters and an epilogue, since it was only 53 chapter he should be able to finish it fast right, NO! he can't! he was cheated it was actually 300 more chapters that is said to be part of the 53 chapters but in fact the 300 have the length of ordinary chapter.

(If you really looked for it, you would have guessed the novel right just search it from Toy Car works.)

As usual with his passionate for novels he didn't notice another day have passed but this time the hunger combined from only eating once yester day plus not eating breakfast and lunch from Michael's concentration.

When Michael have realized it, it was already afternoon and he didn't felt any sleepiness or tiredness from his eyes from continues novel reading in his phone, he only felt the hunger. So, Michael went to eat his dinner early.

Experiencing this bliss Michael informed his mother that even if he didn't got out from his room don't drag him out, his mother then eyed him and said "Are you going to finish that more than a thousand chapter novel in one go?"

( I always like to finish it in one go but sleep and life always hindered me)

Hearing this Michael remembered that time.

"Mom, I will finish it in one go, although this Chinese novel is full of filler it's filler is not as long as Naruto's or One Piece right so I will finish it!" Michael said determinedly.

"Ah…go, go do whatever you want it's better for you to experience the consequences first so you will listen to me since I already warned you don't blame me." Mom said before shooing Michael.

"Mom, you are the best!" Michael ran to his room but after two day and a night he fell asleep with his face smashing his phone.

(Actually happened once so I thought that I would be using this method to fell asleep more satisfying since I fell asleep while reading a novel but it was to painful to withstand the sleepiness so I abandoned the idea)

Michael then excitedly ran to his room, to refreshes himself Michael took a bath and took out his headphone before listening to Anime'a OP and ED that he liked while laying on the bed while closing his eyes so that he could enjoy it more but only after a minute a snore could be heard.

( In IRL I don't snore my brother does it.)

After hours of activation the wireless headphone turned off after a loud warning, 8 hours passed and Michael is still asleep, as he is asleep with every beat of his heart his muscle twitched and it seem to pull his body to form something, another 8 hours passed and just like she promised Michael's mom didn't even enter the room after the morning come, and the muscle twitch succeed making Michael fell into a fetal position and the last 8 hours passed, Michael's body was automatically breaking down the fats to supply himself and his muscle was growing as his muscle was always twitching as if he was excessing, as the result Michael will be energic and won't felt hungry as his Stomach Acid wasn't produced any further when he is asleep but the effect won't be visible as he is only asleep for a 'short' amount of time and as If there Is some kind of alarm Michael slowly opened his eyes and smiled.

(Yeah… real 'short' isn't it.)

"Ahh… what a good dream, rarely I got a complete one and a good end one, what's even rarer is that I remembered all of it." Michael said while getting up and stretching his body for a little, but the morning wood on his lower body made it a little hard to do, seeing this Michael chuckles.

Michael was chuckling because the dream was about him becoming a hero and rescuing the princess, the dream ended with him rescuing the princess before marrying her and fucking her minds out.

The princess was his crush in middle high school, the companion was the beautiful girls in his class that he wasn't sure he liked or not and the enemy is of course the jerks in his school.

Remembering the dream and seeing the morning wood, Michael grabbed his phone to do an alchemy, turning an hard wood into an elastic rubber or perhaps turning back the elastic rubber to hard wood again before transforming it back with some white liquid as the leftover material.

(If you are men you all should know what the 'alchemy process' is right.)

But then he froze because the day he saw on the day on his phone. Michael's hard wood was usefully transformed into an elastic rubber without the 'alchemy' process, the leftover material, white liquid was not seen anywhere, what a shock, what method is this? Well it is a method know as shock.

(Did it form a pun?)

Michael then confirmed the date with his mother who had a face saying 'it goes just as I expected' but Michael ignored it. As it was holiday, he can do whatever he want since there will be many weeks before he went back to school.

Since i did have that many times, why don't I experimented to figure out the weird thing that is happening on me. Michael thought.

A month passed.

In this one month it could be said his experiment was very successful. Michael found out the limitation and advantage he got so suddenly.

Firstly and the most important point is that he can stay awake as long as he want; Secondly, he can fall asleep whenever, wherever he want just by staying still and closing his eyes for a 5 minutes max.

Thirdly, he must sleep and can only sleep 8 hours a day, are you saying this go against the first statement, well…no, Michael could accumulate the Sleep Counter he called, with every day he didn't sleep it will add 8 hours more sleep to the next one and it's accumulative so if Michael didn't sleep for a week so when he closed his eyes he definitely will sleep, 7x8 hours=56 hours.

Fourthly, in his sleep he will consume his fat to maintain and support his body activity also he will always end up in fetal position and in his sleep his muscle will develop too, he found this out because his slightly protruding stomach became flat and packed with six pack, even his hard wood got longer and bigger.

(Pun again?, in my novel the MC's penis will always be on the large side even if it's originally not)

Fifthly, the dream he had will always be complete even if he only sleeps for 8 hours; Sixthly and the last one, he didn't know why this happen.

Satisfied with his research Michael spend his days using this ability to read novel, manga, and watch anime, movies, film series at one go along with increasing his body fitness

Thus Michael who felt satisfied, felt that he didn't need to find out the truth of his power, where it come from, or something similar, with every sleep his body grew stronger but his body always maintain the slim but muscular look even though he became stronger.

And so because he became tall, as he was already good looking, he became handsome combined with his muscular body, and every since he got this Sleep Counter he found out his mind is unusually clear making his originally already smart but easy to distract mind to become focused so he always got good score as long as he paid attention in the class without reviewing it. Combining all of this, he found a pretty and kind girlfriend with the same hobby as he is reading novel and making one, but unlike him, her novel is popular.

Time goes, they got married and Michael lived off his wife but his wife accepted that since the two of them doesn't have a real job just making novels, just like an 'usual' couple they discuss novel they read, recommended novels to each other, fight over their favorite novel and character.
