20 Chapter 20: I'll avenge my brother

The Physician came hurriedly carrying a wooden box of acupuncture tools. Seeing him, Yutao rushed to him and spoke troubledly, "Physician, you came. Please hurry and take a look at my brother. The blood leakage from his heart has already stopped!"

Grasping the situation, the Physician rushed to Xulan's bed and began examining him. He first checked his pulse and was left startled upon knowing the fact.

Xulan's pulse has gone back to normal. Alarmed by it, the Physician quickly checked his heart. His heart has been beating normally, just like a normal person that has gone to sleep and the blood leakage from his heart has already stopped! Unable to figure out what has made a dying person to recuperate in that state, the Physician took out his tools and began performing the acupuncture on his head, after a few minutes later, he concluded it.

He got up with a big sighed on his face and spoke uneasily, "This Young man... He is in a coma. It is such a miracle that his blood leakage on the heart has stopped and is breathing normally. With his case, he should be dead already but this..... I bet that it is only possible if he have consumed some kind of elixir"

Yutao respond to it amusingly, "A kind of elixir?! Who would have given it to him while we were gone?!!"

Concerned by it, he immediately ordered to one of his guards, "Quick! Call the one who attends Xulan's wounds!"

The guard immediately heeds to his order and went to fetch the man. After a short while, the guard came back with the man. The man greeted them.

Yutao stared at him and interrogated, "Have you left Xulan's bed even for a moment?!"

The man replied to it without hesitation, "I have left to fetch medicine for a while Master Yutao"

Yutao then continued, "Did you noticed anyone either coming or leaving the place!?"

The man answered believably, "Young Master, I haven't seen anyone either coming or leaving the place!"

Yutao reacted at his answer and instructed strictly, "Hmm... you can leave now"

The man greeted them again and leave the place.

Xukai then inquired the Physician in curiosity, "What do you say, Physician?! Will my big brother be able to get up?!"

The Physician replied nodding his head, "Since, we didn't know what kind of elixir has given to your brother. With my medical expertise, I can only say that he will be in a coma for a long time, we will need an even better elixir to make him regain consciousness"

While they were discussing on it,  Mr. and Mrs.Lin have reached the Physician House. They came rushing inside.

Mr.Lin looked at them and spoke troubledly, "Erzi, Yutao, Mr.Physician you all are here!".

He greeted them and inquired curiously about his son, "Where is Xulan?? How is he doing?!"

Upon seeing his worried face, the Physician made his statement, "Mr.Lin since you are here. I'll be straightforward with you. Your son Xulan is in a coma, he'll need your undivided attention. I'll prescribe you some medicinal herbs, soaked him in it for every once or twice a week and give him this medical herb for the nourishment of his body. I"ll visit to examine his condition every now and then"

Attending to the Physician words, Mr.Lin remained thunderstruck in awe. He then replied in stressed, "Since this is the case then I"ll take my son home tomorrow at first light and will take care for him there. But can you please tell us, how long will it take for him to regain his consciousness?!"

The Physician sighed and replied, "Mr.Lin I can't say that. His condition needs time in improving but please be patient with him and take care of nourishing his body. I'll often visit your place to check his improvement"

After making his statement the Physician leaves for other patients. Mr. and Mrs.Lin rushed to Xulan's bed and checked him. Mrs.Lin holds his son's hand and spoke up with teary-eyes, "Erzi, please be healthy. Please wake up soon"

She soon wiped her tears and turned to Xukai and inquired him, "Xukai, Where is Xialin?! Why didn't I see her?!"

Xukai turned to his mom and replied carefreely, "Mom, don't be panicked. Meimei, ran out from the house thinking Da-ge will die because of her. Since Da-ge is fine now. She'll be back"

Mrs.Lin couldn't believe her son words that her headache starts to appear again.

She scolded him in troubled, "Erzi, Why are you so clueless?! Your meimei is a young maiden. It's not good for her to stay late outside!"

Yutao interrupted and replied to it, "Mrs Lin don't worry too much. I believe she is somewhere safe. She just wants to avoid seeing the bad. I believe she'll come back on her own tomorrow"

Hearing Yutao's words, Mrs.Lin calms down her heart and spoke up gently, "I hope this is the case"

Yutao and Xukai arranged for them to eat dinner and a place to sleep at the Physician House. And they all took rest for the day there.

The next day...

It was first light early in the morning, Mr. and Mrs.Lin have woke up. They had their morning breakfast and started dressing up ready to leave the place.

Mrs.Lin stares at the Physician's gate pacing back and forth waiting for her lovely daughter's return. Her daughter didn't returned back yet. Mrs.Lin became heavy-hearted and anxious as she was unable to see her daughter's face.

Mr.Lin walked up to his wife and spoke up in a soothing tone, "Furen, let's go back now. Our Xialin might be returning late. Xukai will stay here and return home with her"

Mrs.Lin looked up to her husband's calm eyes. She then replied in ease, "Since, you said so...Let's leave then"

Mrs.Lin sigh at it and headed for the carriage with her husband. Her eyes turned back one more time as she leaves for the carriage.

With it, Mr.and Mrs.Lin bid their farewell to Yutao and Xukai. After that they both leave the place with Xulan's body.

Soon after they left, Yutao turned to Xukai and noted, "Xukai, since they have left. I'll visit the General house to inquire about some important matters"

With it, he walked out from there.

Xukai soon grabbed Yutao's hand and proclaimed determined, "Yutao ge, I'll come with you. I know it's about the Eagle bandit and I just can't sit back and do nothing. I will avenge my brother"

Yutao unable to ignore Xukai's intention inquired him, "What about your meimei?!"

Xukai reacted to it knowingly, "I know my sister, if she was to come she must have been here already. I am assuming Da-ge's elixir must be her doing. I'll find her"
