13 Chapter 13: Yutao's bold move

Xialin was dragged on to the stage by the guards with her lips and hands tied down tightly. Her eyes were staring vacantly on the crowd as she was dragged on. There were quite a number of men drooling over her. She bent down her face in shyness. The crowd cheers upon noticing her expression.

Xulan looked up to the stage and stared at Xialin in shocked, "Meimei!".

He became furious upon seeing his little sister in that sorry state. Fuel by the rage he tried to unsheathe the sword ready to charge in. Yutao immediately grabbed Xulan's hands and reasoned out with him at that instant, "Xulan! Stop acting rashly! There's a number of Eagle bandit out there. Trust me, I have a solution"

Xulan stared at Yutao's solemn look. He turned aside in recklessness and stated, "Shoot! What's the solution?!"

Yutao asserted him convincingly, "There is no solution other than this. We'll bid the highest price and buy her"

Xulan stared at Yutao and confronted in madness, "Yutao! I don't have the money! Where would I get the thousands of gold taels to buy her?!"

Yutao responded to it sensibly, "Who said you're going to buy? I am buying her!"

Xulan feeling delighted at Yutao's words greeted him with his palm resting on the fist of the other hand, "Thank you Yutao! I'll never forget this kindness. I am truly indebted to you"

Yutao replied back carefreely, "It's alright. I am more than happy to help. Since she is your sister she's mine too"

Soon after a while, the Auctioneer makes her announcement, "I see the enthusiasm of the Young gentleman out there. The Auction starts now. Make your bids and take the bride home. Our price is a thousand gold taels"

Shanjin richest man Bojing makes the first move on it, "Thousand of gold taels!"

Yutao upon seeing him put up the bid, "Two thousand gold taels!"

Another man raises, "Three thousand gold taels!"

Bojing unwaveringly lifts up his bid determined to get the bride slave, "Four thousand gold taels!"

There was a moment of silence after Bojing's bid. Seems like the other competitor couldn't raise more, they stop bidding. Because of the awkward silence, Xialin's heart began racing at its peak. She was already in tensed losing her mind thinking she might be sold anytime soon.

Bojing smirked a bit with his face filled with pride. He was all over himself believing he already won the bid. Yutao not giving in, stopped the awkward silence and raised the bid, "Five thousand gold taels!"

Upon hearing it Xialin's eyes search through the crowd in curiousness. Her thoughts were all over the place, "Who could be this man? That went far even to bid five thousand taels!"

When she gazed through the crowd she realised that it was none other than her elder brother Xulan and his friend Yutao! She was left stunned! Her heart was thrilled with excitement upon seeing them. Probably the best feeling she could ever felt. The sense of safety and comfort suddenly lingers around her. She finally felt relief thinking she would be going home safely.

Everyone in the Auction hall got alarmed by the huge amount of bid. All eyes were on Yutao.

Yutao bent on Xulan's ears and whisper slowly, "This Bojing is famous in Shanjin not only for his richness but also for his number of wives. This man is lustful and shady. We cannot let him win"

Bojing got irritated when Yutao raises the bid stealing the show all to himself, "Humph! Dare to go against me?! Let's see how far you can go".

Bojing not letting his guard down lifted up his head and raised the bid, "Seven thousand gold taels!". He then smirked, 'Let's see if you can raise more than that!'.

Everyone including Xialin became shooked when they hear the bid raising up twofold. The crowd begins to whisper, "This is getting interesting!"

At this time Xialin's thought was lingering all over the place, "Damn! Then Xulan gege have to raise the bid more than him. I don't think he has any taels left. I am so done".

Yutao smirked with his glaring eyes, looks like he already killed Bojing in his mind. If this was in the game it will be like... 'KO!'

He then raised the bid, "Ten thousand gold taels!"

Upon hearing Yutao's bid Xialin got knocked for a loop with her hair standing still, "Waahh??! Did I just hear correctly?! I didn't saw that coming! From where did my brother gets all the taels?!"

Bojing couldn't believe his eyes. Enraged by the competitor's bids, he felt restless determined to snatch the bride. He immediately attempts to raise another thousand. By that time his guard instantly moves toward him and whisper secretly, "Young Master. Don't raise the bid now. If the news of you spending a lot of money on a bride slave have reached to GrandMaster(Bojing's father)ears you'll be immediately kicked out from the family".

Bojing upon hearing his words got pissed. He was feeling defeated, "Pch! I have almost won a bride slave!"

He lamented over it.

Since Bojing didn't make any more bids. There was a long pause of silence. After a while, The Auctioneer announced, "Ten thousand gold taels the bride slave is sold. Gentleman, you may come and take your bride".

Xialin was then taken back to the banquet hall.

She was left thrilled at her brother big win that she smiled to herself, 'Big brother you sure live up to my expectations. You are the best!'

She was chuckling herself on it.

On the side, Xulan solicited at Yutao, "Bring back my sister safely"

Yutao replied to it calmly, "Rest assured. I will bring your sister back"

With it, Yutao went towards the stage and went backstage. He then head towards the banquet hall where Xialin was held captive. The guard asked him to give him the gold taels. Yutao calmly took out his invitation card and gave it to the guard, "Please come at this Place and You may take the rest of the taels. Here's the advance!"

He gave him a number of gold taels.

The guard upon seeing it releases Xialin.

Xialin brimming with joy gave a big smiled and thanked Yutao, "Thanks, Yutao gege!".

Mesmerised by Xialin's bright and happy smile, Yutao lifted his hand and pats it on his hair as he blushes. He then spoke amusingly, "It's alright. Let's go"

They came out from there. Everyone was eyeing on them and was murmuring in entertainment. "Look! That's the bride slave!"

"They make a perfect couple"

"The guy is lucky to have her"

"She is so beautiful"

Upon hearing it, Yutao smiled to himself.

He steals a glance at Xialin who were walking carefreely before him feeling at the top of the world. Soon after, they meet eyes with Xulan standing amongst the crowd staring at the path his little sister was coming.

Xialin thrilled upon seeing his elder brother immediately ran towards him. She hugged him tightly and spoke up cheerily, "Ge! I knew you would come for me!"

Xulan smiled at it and spoke up in charms, "Of course. I would come"

Xialin then questioned his brother, "Where did you get all those taels?!"

Xulan replied to it with a hesitated looked on his face, "It was... Yutao's. Eh...meimei... don't worry he promise to help us"

Xialin's face suddenly turns beet red at the thought of it. 'Whaaaattttt????!!! I was bought by Yutao gege?!!??'

She was left astounded by it.

Upon seeing Xialin's expression, Yutao spoke up grinning, "Don't bother... I just wanted to help"

Xulan smiled at it and declared as he put his hand on Yutao's shoulder, "Yutao. I'll work hard and return back your taels!"

The Lin's siblings were left overjoyed upon their unify.

While there were all smiles, Xialin suddenly remembers her friends Bingbing and Lihua, therefore, she curiously asked them, "Gege. How do you know that I am here?! Bingbing and Lihua?! What happen to them?!"

Seeing her worried face, Xulan ease out his little sister curiousness, "Meimei. Don't worry. I have taken care of it. Bingbing and Lihua are safe"

Both of them were then lost in their own world, patching up the story. Starting right from the Black market. As they continue talking, Yutao stands aside amusing himself as he attends to their whole conversation.

While they were busy talking, the Auctioneer resumes the Auction.

"Ladies and gentlemen, Your next Auction is the lightning bolt blade!".

All eyes were now on the lightning bolt blade as it was being carried out by the three big guards.

A random man from the audience questioned jokingly, "Ah! This blade is huge. If a single man can't even handle the blade then what's the use of it?!"

The whole crowd cracks up at his joke.

The Auctioneer replied back unwaveringly, "Men don't be fool by the looks. The blade is called a lightning bolt blade for a reason. It can kill mere thousands of people in just one swoosh. The blade just needs its rightful owner. Only a person with enough Qi cultivation can handle this sword"

Everyone was left awestruck by her words.

Xialin adds her remarks to it, "No wonder. It was really heavy to lift up"

Hearing Xialin's words Xulan spoke up in confidence, "Meimei, one day I will be able to use that sword"

The lightning bolt blade was then quickly sold out. It was taken by a rich man from the neighbouring Kingdom.
