6 Meeting For The First Time In Many Years

While Ivy was drowning in her memories, she suddenly felt a pair of warm hands around her neck, jolting her back to reality.

There she saw her son wrapping his hands around her neck as he tried to sit in her lap, feeling something wet on her cheeks, she took her hand only to find that she had started to cry unknowingly.

Her son tried to calm her down as he clumsily patted her head as he repeated in his clear voice,

''Cry no more...… Cry no more....''

Shi felt her heart melt at him as he hugged her tightly, trying to suppress the darkness inside her heart as she hugged James back and told him,

"Alright, baby, mom will not cry anymore.''

She promised her son as she also made a silent promise to herself,

'Nor will I let anyone make you cry.'

Edward looked at his boss whom he was now following for five years and then shifted his gaze over to the tombstone as he spoke in a low voice,

"She would have been very proud of the person you have become today.''

Upon hearing him say that, Ivy gave a soft laugh as she said,

"Of course she would have been proud, but I wanted her to be here today and see what all I have done.''

"She is watching you. Always.''

James just looked at his mother and his uncle Edward as he tried to figure out what they were talking about but a sudden growl from his stomach destroyed the sullen atmosphere as Ivy looked at her son and gave him a warm smile as she told him,

"Haha looks like baby is hungry huh... was the food not enough in the jet?"

James flushed red from embarrassment as he tried to avoid eye contact and instead focused his gaze at the other graves in the distance.

Seeing as he was not answering, Ivy abandoned her plan to tease as she called her assistant and told them to meet her at the hotel, after finishing her call she turned towards James as she told him,

"Come on and let's eat and meet mama's friend.''

Finishing, she took James in her arms as she carried him back towards the car with Edward following behind them.

The fleet of cars reached the Royal hotel, as Ivy got down with a sleepy James in her arms, making her way inside, she captured everyone's attention, not due to her mesmerizing beauty but due to the fact that she had around twelve bodyguards, all bulky and sturdy looking following her.

Well... her beauty may also be a reason!

The onlookers were even more confused when they saw that the general manager of the hotel himself came to welcome these VIP's.

Meanwhile, Ivy silently stood there like she was above all of them as she held the sleepy James in her arms and left after following the general manager,

But while she was not paying attention to the crowd, she failed to notice a familiar gaze which was looking at her very intently with obvious shock evident in them.

The owner of the pair of eyes suddenly looked as if he was being chased by some entity as he rushed out of there leaving behind his date in the process.

Following the general manager, Ivy came in front of a VIP room and just before she entered, she handed the still sleepy James to Edward as she told him,

''Here take him... I think he is still adjusting to the time difference. You guys can all take the room adjacent to this and I will foot the bill for you all.''

As soon as Ivy finished speaking the rest of the men showed her a wide smile as a round of 'Thank you boss' was given out.

Ivy flashed them a smile as she entered the room and closed the door behind her.

Looking inside the room, another young lady was waiting for her.

Mia Wright who was sitting felt tears blurring her eyes as soon as she saw her best friend.

She jumped up from her chair and launched herself on Ivy as both of them got knocked down due to her surprise attack.

When Ivy felt her best friend in her arms, tears also unknowingly came gushing out her eyes. When Mia saw this, she hastily got herself up and then helped Ivy to get up as well as she asked her concerned,

"Did that hurt V? I am so sorry about that... I was just …. so surprised …. and launched myself right at you.''

When Ivy heard her old nickname she smiled lightly as she said that it was okay.

After making sure that Ivy was right Mia started firing questions at her all at once.
