3 Chapter three

Luo Xinjiang already expected the questions in the exams. Out of 15 items, only one of them was not in the book. With her delicate hand, she manage to finish the whole exams three times faster than the rest. Yawning in boredom, she then looked beside her and saw his answers.

The Young Master didn't seem to notice her, focusing on the number he was reading. Luo Xinjiang looked up and saw who he is.

Liang Yuan, the fifth young master of Liang residence, was born with honor from his father – Liang Jinxing, and brother – the first master of Liang residence, whose demeanor and temper were well trained to be with hot headed officials. They were the trusted officials of the current Emperor, which made Liang Yuan guaranteed to enter the palace examination without training. This resulted to a pampered incompetent Liang Yuan without enough knowledge.

Luo Xinjiang didn't know whether she would pity or would spite the guy. Knowing it wasn't clearly all his fault, still – if he wants to follow his elder's path, he wouldn't act like this in the exam.

Zhang Jie saw Luo Xinjiang looking at Liang Yuan's paper with a frown. He walked near her, making the Zhao Feng stiffly stare at the royal with no ease. He was clearly nervous about Luo Xinjiang.

Zhang Jie cleared his throat, catching Luo Xinjiang's attention. She turned her head with a face void with emotions, staring at the handsome prince. Zhang Jie offered a raised eyebrow, as if he is asking what's wrong. Luo Xinjiang didn't show that it clicked her mind. Instead, she bubbly showed her smile, imitating her brother's attitude.

Zhang Jie can't help but change his facial expression, yet quickly replacing it with a passive face. He tapped Luo Xinjiang's paper, as if saying 'review it'.

Luo Xinjiang saw the look on his face real quick, therefore ignoring it. It couldn't be true. Why would the prince blush? Could it be that he was a gay?

No. He couldn't be. Luo Xinjiang shook her head, pushing her thoughts away.

Zhao Feng sighed in relief, seeing the prince walk away from his miss. Zhao Min saw his reaction and elbowed him.

Aside from Zhao Feng, all the Zhao personal guards knew about Third Miss' doings. They were all trusted. Loyal and ever will be regarding the secret.

The examination didn't take long. Soon, the Young Masters were all heading out. Some were still chatting what they answered, others were talking about their plans for the upcoming city festival.

The City A Festival was one of the most festive occasions town people love to celebrate under the glaring sun of March. The festival would take place on the Lake of Dragon breeds. The reason why it was called Dragon breeds were because of the dragon statues standing still after all the wars that has been endured by the country.

"Zhao Feng." With a deep voice, Luo Xinjiang talked – calling out to her personal guard. "Where is the carriage?"

"To respond to his mi-- master, the carriage is blocked in the town by the celebrating townsmen. It won't be arriving until the sun sets." Zhao Feng quietly responded, standing beside her.

"Why don't you have lunch here in the palace with me, Luo Xingu." Zhang Jie walked near them, Zhao Min following behind. Zhao Min's lips were pursed, signaling Zhao Feng that they can't refuse. Zhao Feng almost curse under his breath, hating a conversation between his Miss and this Prince.

"That would be very nice of you, your Highness." Luo Xinjiang replied with a smile. "But I will refuse."

Zhang Jie tilted his head encouraging her to continue. "I must visit my twin sister, Third Miss Luo Xinjiang."

Zhang Jie thought about her words, yet decided to insist. "Oh, I have a few herbs for her illness. Her heart will be stable for a few days in every herb she will eat."

Luo Xinjiang didn't have to fake her happiness, gleaming a bright smile at the Prince. Still, she didn't forgot she was currently 'Luo Xingu'.

"That'd be so generous of you, your Highness Prince Jing!" She exclaimed in a manly voice, smiling from ear to ear. "I will be honored to have lunch with your highness."
