1 Chapter One

The sun shone bright, glaring at the whole City A. People around the town still continued to work and wonder, ignoring the terrifying heat.

Meanwhile, in Luo residence, the servants of each Miss and Young Masters run around – exhaustedly tending to their Madams' and Masters' needs. Fans, cold water, even ice! Where would they get ice!? It was in the middle of March, ice was nowhere but liquid drops of rain from the sky!

"Bai Sheng." Luo Xinjiang, Third Miss of Luo residence, called out to her personal servant.

"Your servant humbly greets her Lady, Third Miss Luo Xin." Bai Sheng replied respectfully, bowing her head as she entered her Miss' study room.

"Isn't it too hot outside?" Luo Xinjiang looked back to what she was reading while saying these lines.

"To reply to her Miss, the weather really is hot." Bai Sheng agreed, looking up to her delicate Miss' face. "Is there anything I can get for you, Miss?"

"I will prefer if you hand me over my red fan." Luo Xinjiang swished her hand, dismissing her. "And oh, after you do, I will require you to accompany me to the Library."

Bai Sheng winced, refraining from replying that the weather is too hot for them to walk outside. "Yes Miss." Instead, she replied. Swiftly, she closed the sliding door and walked to get her Miss' fan.

Luo Xinjiang continued to read the textbook about her twin brother's latest exam. The elder master of the Examination department, Wei Ruyong, mentioned to her that every inch of the answers in the exams were in that book. Apparently, her brother was sick. How would he be able to take his exams?

Even so, Luo Xinjiang already had her plans set.

A few minutes passed and Bai Sheng arrived with a red fan on her hand. Luo Xin then started to flap the fan to her face and neck to ease the hotness.

"This servant humbly invites Third Miss Luo to the Library." Bai Sheng bows her head again.

Luo Xinjiang didn't reply, standing up from her seat. With the book in her left hand, she walked gracefully out of her study room. The sun was still glaring ever so bright, greeting her light brown eyes that looked like pool of honey under the sunlight. Her personal guard, Zhao Feng, gave a quick nod to another servant – who handed a red, dragon embroidered, umbrella to Bai Sheng. Bai Sheng received it with a pleasant smile, opening it for her Miss.

"Miss, the sun will burn your skin." Bai Sheng then reminded.

Ignoring Bai Sheng, she raised the book. Luo Xinjiang looked at Zhao Feng with a passive face void with emotions. Zhao Feng immediately understood what she meant and bow down, as if saying: 'Yes Miss' in a silent way – taking the book. Luo Xinjiang started walking, making Bai Sheng walk hastily. Zhao Feng followed after the two of them, holding the book that his Miss handed earlier.

Thinking about it, Zhao Feng wasn't that old. He's 17 years of age and has been with the Third Miss Luo at the age of 11 – whereas Luo Xinjiang was only 8 back then.

On the other hand, Bai Sheng has been with the Third Miss since she was born. She knows everything about her Miss, except two. Not to mention her mother died giving birth to the two of them, their father never showed love nor care about their whereabouts. As long as they won't don't anything to ruin the reputation of their residence, they won't  hear anything from Luo Gao Ming.

"Zhao Feng." Luo Xinjiang called, making Zhao Feng pace faster to walk along with his Miss. "All ready?"

Two simple words, yet held big hidden meanings, that only the two of them mutually understand. Zhao Feng turned his head, looking at the delicate young lady. "Done already." He simply replied.

Luo Xinjiang nodded her head with a satisfied look on face.

~~

Arriving at the Library, Luo Xinjiang walked in with Zhao Feng. Bai Sheng knew something was up so she let the both of them talk privately.

Zhao Feng was like a brother for Luo Xinjiang. Even though she has served the miss longer than he does, he has drawn Luo Xin's affection towards him.

"Ah Xin." Zhao Feng started as Luo Xinjiang sat down the wooden chair in front of a small table. "You know this is--

"Please, Feng-li" Luo Xinjiang interrupted Zhao Feng, knowing his reprimands were coming. "Have a seat first. I know we have a lot to discuss."

Pursing his thin lips, he sat down in front of Luo Xinjiang. Looking at her face, her emotions were all over the place. Where was his Third Miss who seemed to be very cold just awhile ago? "As I was saying, you know this is very dangerous." With every word, he gave emphasis.

Humming, she continued what he will say. "Remember last time? You were almost caught, pretending to be your own brother – Luo Xingu!" She shook her head, smiling at him with closed eyes.

Zhao Feng became beet red at the statement. "Isn't it true!?" He defended, huffing while he crossed his arms on his chest.

Luo Xinjiang then nodded, still smiling at him brightly. "And yet?"

Bewildered, Zhao Feng didn't understand her question. He replied with a stuttering voice, clearly mad at her idea and insisting it is bad. "A-and yet…" He said lowly, glaring at her. "And yet what?"

"Yet I was never caught." Luo Xinjiang carelessly shrugged, not even thinking of the consequences if ever she was really caught. "Look, Feng-li. I can't just abandon my twin. Luo Xingu doesn't deserve that."

This… well, she clearly made a point. What sister would leave her own brother to suffer another year round of preachings that he already knows? Especially, they were a twin!

Luo Xingu was the Second Young Master of the Luo residence. Quite fine and kind, his bubbly attitude tend to keep more friends and enemies at the same time. His sarcasm comes handy along with his bubbly attitude, making people think twice of his demeanor. Though Luo Xingu was a man, he was often bedridden because of his heart failure. Therefore, in order to fill in each other's duties, they often switch identities.

"Fine." Zhao Feng smugly agreed, staring at the overjoyed Luo Xinjiang who clapped her hands childishly.

"Now, the robe??"
