15 READY FOR THE PARTY
It was already dark when Wang Reiji opened her eyes. She immediately grabbed her phone on the sidetable and checked the time.
It was already 6:00 in the evening. Eventhough she's craving for more sleep, she needs to prepare for tonight's party.
Wang Reiji stood up and went inside the bathroom. She needs to take a shower first.
After freshening up, Reiji walked towards her closet. Her mouth gaped open when she saw her old clothes.
'Oh my! They are still here! My clothes are still here. But why?'
Wang Reiji was astonished to see that her old clothes were still inside the closet. Actually she was expecting her closet to be almost empty and only the clothes which she brought with her will be the ones inside.
She suddenly felt confused. Her own family hated her, right?
Her paternal grandparents were disgusted by her because her mother was just a poor country bumpkin.
Her father did not give her much attention.
Her stepmother and half sister had only shown hostility toward her.
So, when she was disowned it was just normal for them to get rid of her things and erase evidences of her existence. How come they did not get rid of her stuff?
A sudden feeling of hope striked her chest. Did something unexpectedly good happen and caused a drastic change to the family that despised her so much?
Wang Reiji shook her head. There's no point dwelling on trifling matters like this. Afterall, she was already done with that tragic chapter of her life. What she needs to do now is to make sure that the new chapters of her life will only be about happiness and positivity.
To shake the nostalgic feeling out of her system, Wang Reiji averted her eyes from her old clothes. She looked at the clothes that she brought with her instead. She was thoroughly scanning the contents of her closet when her eyes landed on a coral dress.
'This one will do.'
She took out the dress from the closet. It was a beautiful coral dress with a low v-neckline covered in Swarovski crystals. The shoulder part and upper portions of the sleeves also have crystals on them. Pleased with the dress she chose, she eagerly wore it. She then excitedly walked in front of the full length mirror located at the far end of her walk in closet.
'Hmm this one's really nice, it's a bit short though.'
She thought that length of the dress would be long enough to cover her knees, much to her surprise the skirt only reached two inches above them.
But that wasn't much of a bother. She's proud of her flawless legs anyway.
When she was finished admiring her body, she was now ready to do her makeup. So, she sat in front of her vanity mirror and started covering her face with primer first. She then put on a coat of foundation before applying concealer. She opted not to highlight and contour her face. She just added a blush on her cheeks before filling up her eyebrows. For her eye makeup, she decided to go for burgundy smokey eyes. She then finished her makeup with a nude lip tint.
As for her hairdo she settled for the elegant messy side bun, giving her a soft and romantic vibe. She then put on her long silver tassel drop linear earrings.
She was almost ready for the party, the only thing left for her to do was to wear her silver high heel sandals.
Wang Reiji, looking satisfied with her looks, glanced at the mirror one last time before picking up her phone to call her assistant RenTao.
"RenTao, I'm ready for the party. Will you pick me up or should I ask Chaun to drive me there? "
"Boss, I am already waiting for you downstairs. "
"Oh, I'll come down now. Get the car ready. "
"Right away boss."
Wang Reiji left the Villa around 7:20 pm. She's inside her RR sweptail when she noticed a black Audi A8 tailing them.
RenTao noticed her uneasiness and immediately opened up his mouth to calm his boss down.
"Don't worry boss, they are with us. Those guys were assigned by Mr. Sho to guard you. Also, the ones inside the Toyota Avalon in front of us are your bodyguards as well."
"I see, thank you. I can now relax."
Wang Reiji smiled as she turned her eyes outside the car window.
