1 Mission Over

[Radio: *After a buzz of static* Alpha 1, this Alpha 4, we are ready. Over-watch is now in position over]

[Radio: This is Alpha 1 watch target north of my location. How many tangos are currently on the ground over.]

[Radio: Current sightings, Alpha 1. We are currently looking at 3 tangos that are in position over.]

[Radio: Prepare to engage Alpha 4]

"Revo. I'll be taking the one on the left, while you take the one on the right," Maze whispered as he puts his finger on the trigger. "Got it…." Revo replied as he felt nervous and anxious as this was his first mission and first deployment in Mindanao, which is the island that is one of the 3 big islands of the Philippines and plagued with many terrorist groups.

"Listen, it will be like how we trained from before. Once I said engage, pull the trigger and aimed at the head. It will be fast and deadly," Maze whispered as he gets glanced at Revo as they were on the ground.

And then after a few seconds [Radio: Engage, Engage, Engage]

Maze and Revo pulled their triggers, and the bullet fired from the barrel. But the muzzle has a silencer, so the sound was not that loud.

And soon enough, the bullets pierced through the neck of the armed guard and the blood gushed out from the hole that was created as the bullet goes in and goes out from the other side.

After the first two targets were down on the ground, the 3rd one that was close to the first two noticed why there was no person guarding that location, and when the 3rd one walked towards the location there he saw blood on the ground.

So, as he was about to rush to the other side and warn the others. Revo pulled the trigger, and the Sniper rifle fired. And as expected, the bullet was right in the head. The terrorist dropped to the ground.

[Radio: Alpha 1, this is Alpha 4 and 5 Tango's on the north are clear. Proceed to phase 2 of the mission]

[Radio: Thank you for the over-watch Alpha 4 and 5. Please proceed to the next position for over-watch over]

[Radio: Copy that over and out]

"Let's go Revo. We are moving to our next location for the over watch of the Alpha team," Maze said as he was standing up and fixing the bipod that was under the barrel of the MSSR. "Alright, thanks for guiding me on this first mission sir," Revo said as he, too, was standing up.

Meanwhile, on the other side, "Alright Alpha 2 on my side, we are going to breach the first house on the left until the over-watch set up and not yet ready. We are not moving on the side of the named. Compound, am I understood?"

"Copy that Alpha 1, we are going to follow your instructions," Alpha 2 replied as he grips his M4 carbine.

Then Alpha 1 nodded as he looked at Alpha 2 door and pulls out a mini shotgun and fired at the doorknob after firing the shotgun. Alpha kicked the door and when he steps on the floor of the room, an IED exploded.

[Radio: this is Alpha 4 and 5. We are in position for over-watch over.]

[Radio: *buzz Static*]

[Radio: Alpha 1? Do you copy?]

[Radio: *Buzz Static*]

After the last radio message of Maze, a loud explosion occurred in front of them. *BOOM* it created an enormous explosion. The flame and the black smoke make the whole compound in one alerted place.

"They have compromised us… dammit!" Maze looked at Revo, who was on the ground. "Come, let's get out of here!" Maze shouted. But it was too late, as the enemy had already marked their location and now they were under fire.

*Prfft* *prfft* *Prfft*

The bullet over their head makes it much more deadly. As they too can see the bullets that were over passing them.

"Dammit, what happened on the ground? How did we get compromised?" Revo whispered as he was crawling away from their previous location.

"Just keep crawling and don't look back. I did not expect this and also did not know how the enemy gets their intelligence and also they have already compromised our location so we are going to run for our lives." Maze said as he crawled faster than Revo.

[Radio: Copy! Copy we have been compromised. This is Detachment. 1 we have been compromised] Maze adjusted his comms to the headquarters.

[Radio: This is home. Detachment, do you copy!]

The officer on the other line was now in a state of panic as his men on the ground is getting surrounded.

"Sergeant Major, call the operation on the ground for Quick Response Force near the location of the mission." Brigadier General Artemio looked at the Sergeant Major that was in communication with the 5th Marine Division and 69th Marine company that is a few kilometers away from the target of the operation.

"Sir, I have called for a QRF. They are now en route. The ETA is around 30 mins, sir." The Sergeant Major stood up as to reply to the Brigadier General the status of the QRF.

``What happened`` the words that are running to the mind of everyone away from the house.

[Radio: This is home. I repeat, this is home. The QRF is on the way ETA is 20 mins on the clock. Location of QRF north 2 clicks. Move in that direction over]

[Radio: *gunfire at the background of the radio static* Copy that Home we are going at the location given over and out]

"Revo 2 clicks north crawl at that location!" Maze shouted as the guns were blazing behind them, the continued bullet fire in their direction

"Okay copy that Maze, I'll do that!" Revo replied loudly, but as he looked back, he saw Maze stopped crawling. And so he shouted Maze code name "Alpha 4! Alpha 4!" Revo shouted repeatedly, but there was no single response.

His guts tell him he should go back but if he goes back, he knows he might miss the QRF and he will be in the middle of an intense firefight if that happens as QRF moves towards the location of the position of the unit that is being extracted from the location.

[Radio: This is Home. What is your current status, Alpha 4?]

[Radio: *Buzz Static*]

The Brigadier General Artemio looked a bit depressed as he was only hearing radio static. Same with the staff that is in the operation room. And then a voice comes out from the radio,

[Radio: this is Alpha 5…*Buzz Static* Angel has fallen. I repeat Angel has fallen]

The pressure inside the operation room was too intense that even the officer that were observing were now contacting their direct line of force on the ground. The Brigadier General slowly drops his radio as he was facing the monitor in front of him.

"Get me a direct line to the 5th Marine Division and 69th Marine company on the ground Sergeant major. I want that Alpha 5 get out of there ASAP' the Brigadier General looked at the sergeant Major as if it was the end of days.

[On the ground]

"Take him! Over there! Over there!" the terrorist shouted as they feel like they found Revo. But they were wrong. Revo was hiding near a tree trunk and aiming at them as they move towards the body of Maze. "You won't be going to touch my senior body, you damn fools!" Revo clicked the trigger simultaneously, killing multiple targets that were rushing towards the body.

"Sniper! Sniper!" one terrorist noticed that and warned the others. And the one who shouted earlier was the one who was directing the other to attack at a certain location.

"This is for my brothers that died in this place!" Revo whispered as he reloaded the MSSR and fired twice as he clicked the trigger and the two bullets hit the target, one bullet at the head and the other was at the location of the left chest location of the heart.

Then someone shouted on the other side, "LEADER! PROTECT THE LEADER!" then after Revo heard a different tone, "FOR THE LEADER!" After that, Revo did not notice that there was someone aiming an RPG launcher towards his position. And the terrorist clicked the trigger and the missile launches from the armament. *SWOOSH*

And after that, an explosion followed *KABOOM* the location in which Revo crouching got engulfed with fire and black smoke as the plants surrounding him were already burning?

Revo was scoping, as he was following a target. And it was too late. His body was flying a few meters away from his gun. His left eye is wounded because of the shards of glass that go in his eyes from the scope.

Revo lost consciousness after that explosion.

[Radio: ALPHA 5 STATUS REPORT!]

[Operation office]

"Sir, we lost contact with Alpha 5 as it seems there was an explosion near him," the Sergeant Major for communication said as he looked at the radio monitor in front of him.

"Send in the QRF tell the Artillery that is near that location to fire at the specific location." The Brigadier General looked at the paper on the table. His tears dropped on the papers.

The entire office is now in mourning. Some of the staff were quiet and cannot believe that the Unit that was considered the best in the Marines, the Alpha team, was completely MIA or KIA.
