"So this is where you live." Kai looked at the messy room in front of him.

"Hehe." Johnny gave an uncomfortable laugh and hurried to clear the room of rubbish.

If it was someone else he wouldn't even care about the mess in his house, but since Kai was one of his only real friends, so

Kai didn't care, he cleared a spot on the sofa and sat down.

"Well, I never expected you to stand up for someone." Kai said with a smile.

"I wasn't defending that kid, I was defending my car." Johnny replied a little angry that he spent a night in jail, because of some idiots.

"That old can?" "There! That's a-""Pontiac firebird, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an old can."

Kai then looked closely at Johnny and said "I think it matches your current look." Referring to his homeless look.

"You came here just to make fun of me." Grumpy, Johnny said.

"Not just for that." "You fool."

"How is your son?" Hearing those words Johnny sighed with exhaustion.

"You know how things are, his mother won't let me see him, and only shows up to ask for money to get high." After saying that he looked at Kai with a bit of gratitude.

"But thanks to you I can send money straight to him, but he still doesn't want to see me, his mother must have gotten into the kid's head." Johnny sighed again.

"Well, after what you've done, it's no wonder."

"But, I've changed." "You know how hard it is to believe someone has changed right." Kai spoke clearly, referring to her father.

Johnny didn't know what to say and he didn't even want to get into the subject "I-"

Kai looked at his reluctance and cut him off. "We don't need to talk about that, we should talk about happy things." Kai finished the sentence with a smile.

"Um, speaking of which you still haven't told me what brought you to the San Fernando Valley, I don't think you came this far just to get me out of jail." Johnny asked a question and joked around a bit.

In the years they've known each other, Kai has never shown any interest in going to Los Angeles and now out of nowhere he shows up.

Not that he was complaining, he was happy to have a friend around, a friend much younger than him, yes, but a friend nonetheless.

"Well, that." Kai was a little embarrassed to talk about it.

"I went." Kai paused dramatically, to get ready to say "Kicked out of the house."

"…" Johnny took a few seconds to think.

"Hahahah, you got kicked out of the house hahaha." Then Johnny burst out laughing.

"What was it he caught you taking women behind his back?" John tried to hold back his laughter.

Kai was speechless, even expecting something like this.

"Okay, okay, I calmed down." Johnny said but still had a smile on his face.

"So what do you need? Want to spend some time at my place? It's not very big, but you can sleep on the couch." Johnny said a little seriously, but still teasing Kai.

Kai decided to ignore it and said "No need to worry, I have a house in Encino."

"Encino? Tsk, near LaRusso's house?" Johnny spoke with a touch of dislike.

"Oh, for someone who doesn't like LaRusso, you even know where he lives, are you sure you haven't 'fallen' over him." Kai found a way to pay back, and spoke clearly referring to the last fight between the two.

"It's okay, I won't make fun of you anymore." Johnny scowled at the joke, but he knew he was the one who started it.

"Well, don't worry, after all it was an illegal hit." At Kai's words, Johnny looked at him with surprise and happiness.

Surprised because he didn't expect those words and happy because someone agreed with him.

Johnny choked with thanks upon hearing those words and silently cursed Kai internally.

Kai looked at Johnny's contorted face and laughed for a while.

He then looked at the time "It's about time to go."

It's not that he's dependent, but it's nice to talk to a real friend, someone you expect and know won't stab you in the back.

"Don't worry, you won't be getting rid of me anytime soon."

"About that, what do you plan on doing?" Johnny was curious, even though he was kicked out of the house Kai must have better places to go.

"Honestly I don't know, I haven't thought about it yet, like I said I have a house here so I came, I've wanted to visit you too my friend." Kai finished his sentence and headed towards the door.

Johnny was a little embarrassed by Kai's words and sneered, "At your age you should go back to school."

"Huh?" Hearing words from him, Kai stopped for a while, thinking about it.

And in the end it determined that it wasn't a bad idea, classes are boring? There's no doubt about it, but either way he has nothing to do.

It's a good way to keep yourself busy, in the morning go to school, in the afternoon maybe train to keep your body at peak if you have nothing to do and in the evening have fun doing exercises, Hehe.

"Not a bad idea, just not going back to school since I never went to school." Kai said, surprising Johnny.

Then he walked towards the door "Wait! It was a joke." Johnny spoke.

"I know, but why not." Kai asked rhetorically because there really was no reason for him to do it or not to.

"Maybe I'll study with your son." Kai played with Johnny.

This made Johnny come back to himself "Maybe, I don't know where he goes to school."

Johnny paused before reluctantly saying "Fuck! I don't even know if he's studying."

Kai patted Johnny on the arm and said "Don't worry so much, time is the best medicine."

Johnny and Kai then left the house and headed towards Kai's car.

"Looks like your protégé is waiting for you."

Johnny followed Kai's gaze, and saw the boy he had protected last night.

As much as he was reluctant to let Kai think that he had protected the boy, Johnny wanted him to think that he only acted because of his car.

But the truth is that he really acted to protect the boy from bullying,

At first he saw the boy being bullied, he wasn't going to do anything but thought about what Kai likes to say: "It's okay to do good deeds sometimes".

And then he thought that if it was his son, he would want someone to help him.

So when he went to help the kid, they messed with his car and then everything happened, and in the end he had a good excuse.

Seeing Johnny silent for a while, Kai smiled 'Like reading a book'.

Kai was still in doubt but now he's sure that Johnny beat us teenagers to protect this kid.

Johnny came to his senses and decided to play the misunderstanding "Protected? I already told you it was just a coincidence."

Kai just replied with a "right, right." Clearly showing that she didn't believe in anything.

Kai's car was outside, and the boy was standing near the exit like he was waiting for someone.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, he turned and when he saw who was coming, he walked towards Johnny.

"I just wanted to thank you for helping me out yesterday." The boy thanked Johnny.

"No problem." Johnny wasn't looking to give the kid much attention.

"By the way my name is Miguel." Miguel introduced himself.

Johnny ignored the boy and wanted to keep walking, and so there was an awkward silence.

Seeing that Johnny wasn't planning to introduce himself, Kai chimed in "My name is Kai, it's nice to meet you."

"Johnny Lawrence." Seeing that he was the only one who didn't speak, Johnny reluctantly introduced himself.

"Well, I have to go, I'll let you talk alone." Kai said with a smile, finding this situation funny.

"Wait-" Seeing that Johnny wanted to say something Kai interrupted him "See you later, I really need to go, tonight we'll go out for a drink, I'll call you." Leaving these words he fled.

He exited the apartment complex and walked towards his car.

But he stopped when he saw a beautiful girl with curly hair and dark skin.

She was far away and Kai noticed that she was having a little trouble getting around with some heavy bags.

Kai quickly walked towards her.

Kai arrived in front of her and offered help. "Do you need help?"

The woman smiled and when she was about to refuse, Kai took the bags.

He knew better than to give women chances of refusal when they needed help, or when they were interested.

The woman then looked at Kai, a handsome man with long golden hair and strangely beautiful eyes.

Realizing she was staring too long, she looked away with a little embarrassment.

Kai pretended not to notice and asked "Where do I take it?"

"Please, follow me." She ended up accepting Kai's help without realizing it, she wanted to help Kai but Kai refused showing that she was light for him.

"I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Kai, Kai Kresse." Kai introduced himself, he thought for a while before giving his full name.

The beautiful woman smiled and also introduced herself "My name is Carmen, Carmen Diaz, I've never seen you around here, you're moving." Carmen introduced herself.

But then he realized that he had said something wrong looking at Kai, and seeing how well he was dressed, and blushed at the thought of how well he looked in that outfit.

Kai was wearing a casual gray suit that looked quite expensive, an outfit that suited him well, a handsome man in a handsome suit.

Kai pretended again not to have noticed the embarrassment and the looks with a hint of desire in Carmen's eyes and said "No, I came to visit a friend who lives here."

At that moment they were arriving at the community door.

"Seriously, I live here too, looks like we're going to see each other here a lot." Carmen said with a smile and happiness in her heart.

At that moment she was already wondering if there was something wrong with her, she was thinking like a teenager in love, not to mention a guy she just met.

"I'm glad to hear that, nothing makes me happier than seeing a beautiful woman like you, I think I'll start coming here more often." Kai said with a smile at her.

"You really have a sweet tongue, many women must have fallen for your lip (and I'm close), you must have many girlfriends." Carmen replied with a beautiful smile, hiding the embarrassment of having thought of these things.

Kai didn't plan on dating, much less getting married, but if he really had a woman who could hold him in a relationship, he wouldn't be against it, and it would certainly be a very special woman.

Carmen looked at him as he spoke to see if he was lying, she realized he was telling the truth and at the same time saw that when he talked about girlfriends he didn't seem very interested in dating.

She realized all this exactly because Kai let her, in these years of his being alive, he realized clearly that people tend to like people more who don't hide what they feel and feel more attracted to that kind of person.

So he didn't hide his emotions or intentions when he planned to get close to someone.

They continued talking and getting to know each other, and she began to grow closer to Kai both mentally and physically.

"We arrived, this is where I live." Carmen said reluctantly when she realized that this good time was over, and it passed so quickly.

Kai again pretended not to notice, and handed the bags to her.

"It was a pleasure meeting you Carmen." Kai said with a smile and she replied in the same way "It was a pleasure for me too Kai."

"Wouldn't you like to come in for something to drink?" Carmen worked up a little courage to invite Kai inside.

"Thanks for the invitation, but I have to go next time." Kai gently declined.

Carmen was a little sad, but thought it was for the best, her mother and son were still at home at the moment anyway.

"Well, it's a promise, next time we'll have a drink." Carmen quickly got over it and spoke.

Kai then took his leave, and she stared intently at his back as he walked out of her sight.

Until she realized 'We forgot to exchange contact info, he said he has a friend who lives here so he'll be back.'

And he remembered how he acted and was even more ashamed 'Ah! Carmen you were such an idiot, acting like a little girl in love'.

Kai had a charm that made her intoxicated and even before he realized that he was acting like a teenager he couldn't help but act like it.

Upon entering the house, she saw her mother looking at her with a smile and the smile widened when she saw the smile on her daughter's face.

"¿Te ves Feliz que paso viste el pajarito verde?" (English:You look happy, what happened did you saw the little green bird?) She spoke in Spanish, but by her face he heard Kai's voice.

"No pasó mucho." (English: Nothing much happened) Carmen replied and deflected the subject, thinking she saw a little golden bird.

With Kai at that moment he was already in his car, driving a little faster.

If he was at his normal speed, he would end up being two minutes late for his appointment, so he didn't accept Carmen's house.

He didn't like to be the slightest bit late, so he was either a few minutes early or on time.

And according to his calculations if he continues like this even if something like a traffic jam happens, he should arrive right in the nick of time.

That's because he wasn't at his maximum speed, not even close, but he decided to go at that speed to arrive a couple of minutes early.

He could basically go as fast as he wanted, because of his license plate, which was a special military license plate, it wasn't exactly the speed he wanted, after all there was a limit depending on his urgency.

Kai put on some music and continued on his way, he too watched closely and admired the beautiful parts of this city.

A while later he finally stopped his car, having arrived at his destination.

That place was: Encino more specifically his new home.

Kai stopped to admire this beautiful mansion that was now his, he thought it was amazing, but he wasn't surprised, after all he had already seen the prototype, the model and photos of how it was.

But nothing is like seeing it with your own eyes.

Kai then walked towards the door, someone was already waiting for him.

"I hope I didn't keep you waiting." Kai said with a polite smile.

The person showed clear happiness and admiration upon seeing Kai, and quickly said "No Sir, I just arrived, I usually have to wait longer."

Realizing that he said something wrong he closed his mouth.

"Haha, don't worry, it's nice to meet you, you can call me Kai." Kai said and thought that there are some words he is saying too much today.

Looking at Kai, so receptive and humble, he was even more in awe.

"Oh right, here are your keys Mr. Kai" The man said handing Kai a bunch of keys, when he called Kai he didn't know what to call him, and decided to call him that way.

Kai didn't care, he said a few words and thanked him for everything and when he was about to enter his house.

"That, Mr. Kai I." The man seemed a bit reluctant to say anything, but with the small talk between the two he took courage and said "I can have your autograph."

"Oh?" Kai was really surprised this time.

"My son found out I was working for you, sir, and I would like to know if I can have an autograph for him, please." The man explained.

Kai then thought 'I didn't think I would be famous, but that's normal.'

Kai in those years was not idle, but did some work or rather was called as a model for some things.

More specifically for games, some of fighting games as a playable character, and for some even to be the main character, there were many famous games.

He even voiced most of them, he remembers them all, but the most memorable ones for him were Mortal Kombat, and a game called Kai's Odyssey.

The former for being very famous and a game he remembers enjoying, and the latter for being a game completely focused on him, although it is not the only one was the former.

He also has some so called Skins in Games like Fortnite and even mangas about him.

There was even someone who wanted to do a series about his life with him as the lead, which he promptly turned down.

They also asked for a movie, the corners of Kai's mouth can't help but twitch at the thought of having a movie about him playing in theaters, it's actually pretty funny for him.

And he also remembers the beating he almost got when his father found out about it.

He turned down the series and the movie to not be so famous, he is famous now, but this fame is more concentrated on children and nerds.

Kai also never omitted anything he did, so there are also people who don't like him, which is normal, not even God pleases everyone.

Kai recovered, and saw that the man already had pen and paper, all he needed was his signature.

Kai asked what the boy's name was and signed his autographs that he had already created.

He knew this day would come, but he didn't expect it to come so quickly, he's not very interested in these things, it must be because he doesn't have much contact with children.

Thinking about it, Kai wondered if many people recognized him in high school, and he started to get a bit hesitant about going to the so famous High School.

The man said goodbye to Kai and went on his way.

And Kai finally entered his new home, and decided to see how everything was.

It took him a full 20 minutes to see the entire house and its amenities, with him only skimming over everything.

And honestly he found all of this… an exaggeration, it was much more than he had asked for.

He had asked for a slightly more sophisticated house, and actually got a mansion.

Yes, that was a mansion, a fucking mansion.

The only good thing was that they took out most of the stuff he probably wasn't going to use.

The house he asked for had three floors, two normal floors and an underground floor.

This mansion had four floors, at least it had the underground floor he requested.

It had three suites and a master bedroom on the third floor, not counting the basement, on the second floor there was a gym, guest rooms, library, office.

On the first floor, there was a regular living room, a luxurious living room with a fireplace, one with a bar, and most important in Kai's opinion a kitchen.

The underground floor was nothing much, it was just a giant metal space, and it also had a panic room that was completely shielded from radiation.

The backyard was very big, with a big space to have meals, a few other things, and the swimming pool which is almost half the size of the house.

Kai sighed in relief, at least having given a limit space for what they should do, otherwise it would be several times bigger.

But he had to admit that it was amazing, if it weren't for the problem of living in this giant place alone, Kai thought that maybe he should ask Johnny to live here, well he hasn't decided yet.

If in the future there's a way to get the women he really likes to settle down, they might end up living here with him.

Maybe he should ask his dad to move in with him, just to get a taste of what it's like to kick someone out? Hehe.

There are several options, but those are things for the future.

I was going to keep writing this chapter, but I realized it got a little too long, so I left it at that.
