Sudden Incident

Ever since the last war, Gabriel Aimilios was drowned in confusion. He looked around only to see the place around him had changed. The armor he had, the weapon he carried was lighter. More houses and cattle were seen in a short distance. Gabriel still couldn't believe his eyes until he went back to Sparta. The environment and atmosphere were never been better for him before. After a celebration, Gabriel started asking, Nasir gave up on what he was concerned about.

"Our home had never changed much ever since we got here, what do you mean?" - Nasir

"What are you saying? This town never had this many people and structures. Look at those statues of our kings. Who built them? Why did I not see them before?" - Gabriel

"You must have been stressed out after that fight. We must admire what God has given us." - Nasir

Gabriel was then frozen, he felt like he was living in a different world. As one of a few people who didn't believe in religion, he needed to find out the cause himself. Gabriel sat near a tree and took out his helmet and shook his head around. He had a handsome look of a 30-year-old, with dark curly hair that reaches his shoulders.

"Even you are different!" - Gabriel

He said to his helmet. As he laid his back on the tree, Doris came to him in a beautiful grey dress and asked romantically:

"Do you want me to get anything, master?"

"Oh, please! Call that to anyone else, because I am your husband." - Gabriel

Doris chuckled happily. Both confided for a while then Doris got up to continue her role as a Helots. In Gabriel's mind, he still could not forget Doris:

"(At least you have not changed. You are still as beautiful as you were before.)"

It seemed hopeless to find a fine answer to Gabriel's concerns. He had made many assumptions, but one, in particular, was that he had been dead and was sent to a better place. He accepted the fact that he lived in a different world eventually.

At night, Gabriel would sneak into Doris' house so that they could be close together. Both hugged each other then had some conversation. At one point, Doris asked:

"Am I your shame as I can not give birth?"

"No. No matter what they say, you are the light to my hope." - Gabriel

"Gab... What will happen if one of us..." - Doris

"I know what you are saying, and I will not let that happen." - Gabriel

"You know, death is unpredictable." - Doris

"If you die, I will go with you. If I die, you will not suffer, my soul will stay with you." - Gabriel

Doris grinned and continued:

"The Gods will take your soul, how could you reach me?"

Gabriel suddenly remembered that he was living in a strange world, he knew the myths could be real there. After a moment of silence, he responded:

"I would make them kneel before me."

"That is the Gabriel that I know!" - Doris

Both had a good laugh that night. During midnight, Gabriel would leave Doris' house and return to his place. On his way, he heard footsteps from behind. But as he turned back, there was nothing but darkness.

Under a bright sunrise, the Spartans did their daily training. Gabriel, king Polydorus' most trusted warrior, was said that he could take a break. Then, a woman arrived who Gabriel noticed as Doris' friend. Despite him gladly saying hello, he saw her anxiety. The woman held Gabriel's hand and shakingly said:

"Doris has passed away."

The smile on Gabriel's face immediately closed, his pupils shrunk, and the chills ran inside out. He rejected everything at that moment, despite the king shouting his name, he sprinted to Doris' house as fast as he could. Nasir had also noticed something off but his partner told him to ignore it. Seeing his wife lying in front of the house in silence, Gabriel couldn't handle himself but screamed her name. He carried Doris up and saw holes on her chest followed by drooling blood. Gabriel felt an empty void suddenly open inside his heart as he gasped. He desperately called for help, but no one wanted to get closer. As a result, he yelled louder and louder at the local people wildly. Then, from behind were the king and the Spartans. Polydorus said:

"Death is natural, you can not overcome it. Forget that Helots, you can have another."

Gabriel then knew the soul of the society that he lived in didn't change. The first-ever tear in Gabriel's life dropped. His eyes were shaking as he shouted:

"WHO KILLED MY WIFE?!"

"Who is your wife?" - Polydorus

As Gabriel shouted Doris' full name, the king replied soullessly that he didn't care:

"A woman who can not produce is considered trash."

After a second, Gabriel slowly put Doris' lifeless body on the ground and held her hand for the last time. He brought out a melee weapon, deep inside his mind was only anger. Polydorus gave him a final warning:

"Remember who you are, Gabriel."

"I am no more a Spartan." - Gabriel

He said as he turned his back. Nasir shook his head, he knew death is coming. Gabriel started the rebel by quickly moving toward the Spartans unarmed. In front of his eyes were tens of his old colleagues. Gabriel kicked the first guy, he spun back and forth and slain one by one's neck. Until his shoulder was injured by a spear from the back, he was weakened. And in a few seconds, he was circled by shields. One Spartan shouted that he should have given up. Yet, Gabriel continued to struggle. Without any warnings, Nasir had jumped inside and knocked out one of the Spartans. He held Gabriel's hand and pulled him out. Suddenly, Nasir was stabbed in his spine. As he fell, Gabriel had his chance to fight again. Taking Nasir's shield, Gabriel could blast away every man in the distance. He wielded the shield with both hands and used it to conveniently break Spartans' armor. Another man approached Gabriel from behind, but he was kicked and dropped his spear to Gabriel's hand. Eventually, Gabriel threw the spear through the man's head. Despite the men who hadn't died yet, Polydorus was in Gabriel's sight. He wanted to approach his king. Then, Nasir shouted out:

"GAB! THERE IS A CURE!"

"What!?" - Gabriel

"OUR TOWN!" - Nasir

"Paleologio..." - Gabriel

As Nasir struggled, he was killed by a spartan.

"NO!" - Gabriel

He instantly grabbed a sword and strike the man down. As much as he was outraged at that moment, he would remember Nasir's sacrifice. He ran away with his wife. The Spartans followed him but were soon called back by their king.

As Gabriel returned to Paleologio, he couldn't believe how much it had changed in the past decades. The citizens saw Gabriel bringing a wounded woman so they called others out for help. After running miles to miles, Gabriel was soon out of breath, he lay down to relax and ignored the help of the others. He said he only wanted his wife to be alive again. As he opened his eyes, he saw a wooden ceiling while lying on a comfortable bed. He quickly realized what had happened and screamed out Doris' name. But the only person in the house was an old

white-haired lady. Gabriel started:

"Where am I?"

"Greetings, young man, I am your assistance, Ophelia." - Ophelia

"I am... Gabriel Aimilious." - Gabriel

"Gabriel? What a wonderful name you have. You remind me of a good boy I saw in the past." - Ophelia

"Where is Doris Archie? The woman that you saw earlier?" - Gabriel

"She is in a better place and she will be rescued." - Ophelia

Seeing his shoulder was bandaged, he was relieved. While asking whether Gabriel could go and see his wife, Ophelia denied quickly. That had put Gabriel a suspension on the lady. He asked:

"How do you revive people from death?"

"Here we have a special drink. A drink that will make you no longer feel sick, injured,... and death." - Ophelia

"That sounds tremendous! Can I see it?" - Gabriel

"No, you can not. Your wife had consumed it." - Ophelia

"I honestly do not know how much I will have to pay you for this. Thank you." - Gabriel

"You are good already. You are~" - Ophelia

Before Ophelia left the house, she told Gabriel not to go anywhere. Yet, after a while, he felt empty and wanted to visit Doris. As he came out the door, he saw beautiful fields, trees, and massive rocky structures. The atmosphere was bright and the people were happily doing their jobs.

Suddenly, he smelt a sense that he never had before. Something like blood. He then saw a dark red mist come through his face. As he looked back, the mist was coming from beneath the house. A deep whisper was heard as he took a step closer:

"Aimilios."

He then noticed a hole between the planks, he couldn't think much but used his force to break them. Afterward, he saw a small jar enclosing a dark red liquid. The whisper continued louder and more menacingly:

"The cure. Your cure."

As Gabriel grabbed it, Ophelia from behind had already been standing there for the whole time. She warned:

"Put that down, or else..."

"This is the drink that you were talking about?" - Gabriel

He replied in a deep tone without turning his back as he had expected Ophelia to be there. The old lady was surprised, yet, she continued:

"Do not listen to it."

Gabriel quickly moved to the right and dodged Ophelia's attack, he then knocked out the weapon on her hand, which was a long saw. But Ophelia called out:

"GUARDS! GUARDS!"

"I KNEW IT!" - Gabriel

He grabbed her throat and yelled:

"WHERE IS DORIS!?"

"You... will never know." - Ophelia

Those were her final words before being snatched by Gabriel. Gabriel then put the small jar inside his pocket and ran out. He then was surrounded by many men with various weapons. He smiled:

"You inexperienced villagers."

Gabriel three Ophelia to the front and successfully distracted some men. Gabriel jumped out and grabbed a guy's body and used him as a meat shield. Eventually, another guy stabbed the shield, he was then struggled to get it out. Gabriel got his chance to steal a sword. He then kneeled and chopped off their legs, some had fallen, yet, many continued to approach. Rake, shovel, saw, Gabriel used anything useful for killing. Eventually, many were highly injured, even dead. Their blood had poured across his body. But Gabriel wasn't so pleased for long. A sudden arrow was shot into his arm. He screamed to his pain and was alarmed about an archer in the distance. He tried to locate it, but he was shot again. The arrow went through his leg. He couldn't stand up at that time, he slowly lost consciousness. He then steadily walked back. Suddenly, he was fallen into a deep hole. Gabriel gradually opened his eyes and he was shocked to see that Doris Archie was laying there for the whole time. He painfully crawled up to see her face again. Many footsteps were heard around. He felt like it was a hopeless situation, his life would come to an end soon. Then Gabriel remembered the jar he brought. He then opened it and drank all the liquid, without any hesitation. Suddenly, Gabriel felt even more pain, but from the inside. He creamed, he moaned. His stomach was struggling, his mind was being differed. His body, his muscle, his everything had grown much larger. He wasn't Gabriel Aimilios anymore. It was a 25-meter-tall Titan, and his name was Typhos. A gigantic muscular creature in red was transformed. He had straight horns above the ears and his hair resembled Gabriel's hairstyle. Outside of his body and arms, his legs were the only parts that weren't developed. He had to stand up with air pressure. He screamed his name out loud as he slowly crawled up blindly while numerous storms occurred in different directions. Paleologio was under mass destruction at the hand of the mad titan, Typhos. Although he had almost demolished the city, the anger was still sharp inside him. His body looked like it wasn't restored, the underside of it was bleeding as if he had lost half of his body before. Suddenly, he stopped smashing houses as his eyes finally opened. Typhos then slowly looked in another direction and started running with his hands. And a moment later, he used his force to jump and tried to fly. But it didn't take long until he crashed to the ground. Typhos felt the pain of falling, yet, he stood up and tried again. Eventually, he had influenced himself to fly successfully, at an incredible speed. After a moment, he reached Sparta. Typhos suddenly dropped and his body started rolling through Sparta. As a result, he crushed many Spartans and the king. Seconds later, Typhos woke up to see humans trying to attack him. But he blew them away in a single clap. As he got up by hands and saw the sea from far away. With no hesitation, he flew and head down to the deep sea.
