10 Chapter 9 Threat of the Dark Lords

"Oh, is it though?"

"Oh brother…." Rex sighed trying not to think of what's going to happen next

As Ao looked at him angrily, Kishi touched the book and everyone was terrified at what they saw.

The book changed it's color, it turned from scarlet-brown to pitch-black. It shines a sort bloody color ad emits a frightening feeling.

And in a sudden, the place became dark, the students disappeared from the darkness on by one. After a few seconds, Ao disappeared to and the boys were the only ones left.

The dean appeared on Kishi's side and took the book away from them. She casted a spell and the book returned to its previous appearance.

She sighed in relief and looked at the four of them and stared neither angry nor amused at Kishi

"You must not do that"

"Why"

"You badass jerk…It will put everyone in disarray, obviously" Rex answered sarcastically

"Yes, I agree--"

"Then why do it?" Kishi asked

"I believe my daughter had told you"

"but…aren't you afraid the palaces may get mad at you? What I mean is…don't you think your abusing your authority?" Airi questioned her

"If you were found out…what…what would you do?" Rex added

She sighed once again and opened her mouth to speak but then Kishi spoke before her "Even if they did know…they would hardly even care as long as nothing really happened…and in my opinion…they trust this school almost as much as they trust Magic high"

"And how would you know that?" Rex eyed him suspiciously

"She's here isn't she? And there's no way she would be here without them knowing…And besides, do you actually think they would bump in to the Dark lords base where she in through nothing but coincidence?"

"Now that you mention it…"

The dean smiled "You really do meet everyone's expectations" She now looked at everyone and began to explain "The organization was kept secret since no one wants to get the people panicked. Judging by our investigations'…their desire is to gather magic and use it all for themselves. And since children posses undeveloped, yet magic with more potential…they abduct unique and powerful children and well…extract their magic…" She said in a depressed tone "Because of that…many tried to track down their location for years now, the magic guilds, the powerful nobles, and even the sacred realms are involved…and sadly…no one has been able to gather any information."

"It became worse as time passes…eventually they've been able to take children from higher families; no one has survived. Either from the strain of extraction or torture…that is…until the most powerful guild, The Cursed Dragon has been involved. Since the guild is very secretive…no specific information was said except the fact that one of their precious children was abducted and returned…thoroughly shaken though, and lost bits of memory."

"Hope came in eventually…but even that certain guild has no leads. So, the responsibility is given to the guardians of clover. Remained unsolved, and getting stronger until four years ago…they kidnapped a child thoughtlessly because of their eagerness for power. So not long before this day…we now manage to find their hideout, but the only thing that came to me was their corpse."

"Their cause of death was over exposure to powerful magic. And there I found three children, two are struggling to survive using some weird cleansing magic, and the other was continuously being extracted from. She seemed to be going through the same process for years judging by her appearance…But what amazed me more was that she's still alive."

"Even so, it is believed by many that the case was yet to end…"

"So, your saying you used my dear sister to track them but still failed"

"Kishi!" the boys shouted

"No…It is alright…" The dean said "In truth…what he said was no less than truth…After all, if it weren't for her…we wouldn't have found anything--"

"--Wait why her?!" Rex asked out of confusion

Kishi pointed his gold-crystal earing and said "It's the earing every Sacred royal wear…it's a connection to the palace itself, it also allows the fairies to access us directly"

"Oh! That's…weird--WAIT!! Then…THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHERE SHE IS!!"

Kishi only sighed at his reaction

The dean only giggled "Well in any case, I shall take my leave--and not to forget, do not do that again…please…"

She left at a fraction of second. The library appeared once again, the students appeared, and returned to what they were doing as if nothing had happened.

Ao to did the same. She came back to her senses and forgot what she was angry for and just left bidding them goodbye.

Kishi looked anxious in thought,

"Is there something wrong" Airi asked in concern

"hmm…I wonder? Is what she said true?"

"Maybe…" Rex joined their conversation

"If so…then that also meant that one of our classmates had also been abducted like sis--but….the only conclusion to that is the fact that the grown ups have gone restless…" Kishi sighed "And putting a group of children with unimaginable magic abilities and rare traits, makes it easy for them to protect us due to their lack of man power….yet it also means putting a herd of bunnies over a single net, making it easier to capture all in a single effort and saves their energy for looking…"

The boys froze in his statement.

He is right, E-class is a group of extraordinary children, what's more, most of them have abilities that could destroy nations, and still have room to improve and serves a better potential.

The thought of them all in one place, sure is frightening, yet easy to monitor and protect against harm than in different places. And if the elders may fail on their duty to protect them, they could always watch each other's back.

..... but, what if…it's still not enough…..

Yes, that does sound unreal…...though...it's not impossible

...…If that were to happen...

...And if their magic is used up to it's greatest potential...

...…The world....

...may then reach its end....
