9 Chapter 8 The unknown mistake

As the three of them continued… A voice made their hearts sank terribly

"Your blabbering is getting annoying"

"KISHI!!" Shouted Rex

"Bro…how long have you been there?!"

"Oh, come on!... It's not MY fault you morons didn't notice I haven't left the freaking room!!"

"Yes, it's our fault for not noticing… But—do you really have to rub it in?" Airi said to him in a way of speaking injustice

Kishi sighed and asked them in an unexpectedly calm voice "How in hell do you even know that?"

Awkward silence fell in the room

"Err…a secret-he" Replied Rex; pinked faced

Airi stared blankly, he seemed to be in deep thought. "What now?" Kishi asked

"Er-I-I was just thinking…well you know…I suggest you talk to her…and-and fix stuff"

Silence fell in the room once again

"Well…'guess your right…"

But…what should I say? I haven't talked to her for four years now… Kishi thought…

The day went by swiftly.

The next day, Kira bumped in Kishi for a couple of times since morning. She, of course, tried her best to avoid him in any way possible.

After all the classes, Kishi convinced himself to speak with her. So, before dinner, he went down to the garden, and to the little lake.

It was almost sunset; the winter is also close at hand that the gold and red leaves had mostly fallen. The leaves scatter around and produces a cracking noise if stepped on. The trees are almost nothing but branches, yet the wind blew hard enough to make the autumn leaves glide through the air.

Kira was standing by the bank. Her silky long hair flowed softly along the wind. She was looking at the beautiful horizon as the great sun gradually touches it. She appears to be saying goodbye to the birds as they migrate for winter. Some of the hibernating animals came and gathered around her as she bid them sweet dreams. It's a fascinating sight, a rare sight, and a truly beautiful warm scene.

The moment she heard Kishi's footsteps, she immediately turned around to see who's coming. When she realizes it was her twin brother Kishi, she then quickly hid behind a nearby tree. Kishi clenched his fist in her reaction, yet still forced himself to say something…

"Look…I-no, you don't have to forgive for not being a good brother to you…but I ask that you would at least let me apologize. So-I'm sorry!" He gritted his teeth and spoke once again, "I'm not forcing my self into you. As a matter of fact, I do admit it. I was weak…and…I failed to protect you…and I…it-it was because of my ignorance. I'm so naïve…" He felt so disgusted at himself that he chuckled. He turned his back against her and was about to leave, said a couple more words "So, I understand that your mad at me…and--"

"--I'm not mad…"

Kishi turned in shock at her words. She smiled. The wind blew harder, she ran towards him and embraced him tightly.

"Don't-blame yourself. It's not your fault--"

"yeah but--"

"I MISSED YOU!! That's all that matters!"

She smiled at him once again. He couldn't say anything. He was glad, in fact too glad that he even forgot to ask reason for her sudden change of mind

The classes are finished early every Friday. The boy's chose to hang out in the library

The boys sat on a round table, piled themselves with a ton of books. Rex kept making small groans,

Kishi is playing with his quill out of boredom, Lune was still reading, And Airi was writing scribbles all over his paper.

"ARGH!! I! give! Up!" Rex screamed that took everyone's attention

"Geeze…what's the matter?" Asked by Lune

"It's this BOOK! It's HELL!!"

"Will you keep your voice down" Airi hissed him looking anxiously at the other students

"I can't help it, it's terrible" He whispered

"That's written on Ancient Orckian language" Lune proclaimed returning to his book

"Modern language…It's written in Modern language" Kishi disagreed

Rex sighed loudly and stared at the two "Now whom should I believe?''

Airi joined the conversation, and startled the others "Orckian and Modern are the same, but have a different meaning--What?"

Mouth fell open, Rex replied in disbelief "you know about this?"

"Seriously? This is so simple everyone knows about it….or….at least A and higher should know"

"It's not that simple if you actually tried to differentiate it" Kishi added

"Yes, but… there's a way--hold on a sec..." Lune grabbed a piece of paper, dipping his twisted branch like pen to ink and started writing. "You may notice that the meaning of each words alters each other so in conclusion…just understand it with the meaning of the language that matches the topic."

"I know that! But-what I'm trying to say is that…reading it with both language…en-ends up with the same meaning--"

Eyes widened, Lune wrote a couple more words in the piece of paper he wrote on earlier and was utterly shocked to see the results.

"b-but-but t-that should be impossible"

"It won't, if you put a spell on it" attention was thrown back to Kishi

"Oh! Having trouble with your homework?"

"Hi, Ao…" Airi greeted

"Sorry…I kinda overheard what you're talking about"

"It's fine"

"That is not Modern language" Kishi looked sharply at her "Well…it is…but…a modified one"

"You do know that's illegal…r--"

"KISHI!! Come off it! Will you?" Airi gave him a bitter look telling him to shut up and listen to what the girl has to say

"As I was saying…our school, casted a spell on all these books to make it friendly to everyone…and…as for the reason…it's to harmonize with the forbidden empire without disobeying the sacred palaces…completely…."

Kishi glared at her coldly and smirked "But do you know what the language is for?" and before she could even answer, "No? Well…to simply explain it…it is created to spread their evil works by copying other languages writing and changing it to a different meaning and finally naming it as their own language and spreading it across Harmonia…And what's more…it's also to get other mages innocently reading a book, not knowing that the book could change their whole being entirely if they understand it enough…"

"that's OUTRAGEOUS!!" Ao screamed in raged as Kishi smiled bluntly at her "Even if it was true! My mother would NEVER let such thing happen that she modified it hard enough that no one except her would be able to undo it!"

"Oh, is it though?"

"Oh brother…." Rex sighed trying not to think of what's going to happen next

As Ao looked at him angrily, Kishi touched the book and everyone was terrified at what they saw.

The book changed it's color, it turned from scarlet-brown to pitch-black. It shines a sort bloody color ad emits a frightening feeling.

And in a sudden, the place became dark, the students disappeared from the darkness on by one. After a few seconds, Ao disappeared to and the boys were the only ones left.
