7 Chapter 6 Envy

"Kira…."

The girl immediately pulled her hand back, but Kishi caught her quickly. He held her hand tight and pulled her towards him.

Her long white hair flowed softly out of her face reviling her snow-white skin, her rosy cheeks and her pinkish lips.

Her large watery pink eyes sparkled like morganite as it met his eyes. Kishi held her tightly, the two of them stared at each other's eyes while all the others watching them have their eyes widened in disbelief. Airi only smiled.

"Whoa…." Lune dropped his book, eyes completely locked on the two

"Who would have expected…. the wolf to become a puppy… so unreal…." claimed Rex

"Man…she's as pretty as I remember" Airi murmured

"WILL YOU QUIT ACTING LIKE YOU KNOW HIM THAT MUCH!"

Airi only looked at him

"Kishi's sister looked exactly like him, don't you think?"

"I SAID QUIT IT!!"

Kira suddenly came to her senses and screamed

"LET GO OF ME YOU JERK!!!"

She pushed Kishi with all her strength that she took a couple of steps backward. The second she regains balance; she ran as quickly as her feet would take her without any hesitations or even looking back. All she knew is that her instinct tells her she had to and she will.

Kishi was left there petrified. He only looked at her as she disappeared. Airi jumped down from the stands and held Kishi's shoulder and smiled warmly at him…

Three days had passed since then. Kira was still avoiding Kishi entirely.

One afternoon, a knock touched the door of the private lounge provided for the boys to hang in.

"Do you guys expect someone?" Rex spoken while placing one of his horse down on E5 square on

the chess board

"No…And that's checkmate" Airi replied

"ARGH!! WHY THE HELL DO YOU ALWAYS WIN"

"It's because you suck….so don't blame me"

Lune pulled the door handle to open the door and to see who's behind it. A girl about fifteen or fourteen-year-old came to his eyes.

"Uh…. Mika was it...?"

"Yes…kind of you to remember me"

"What brings you here" Lune moved aside to let her come in "Err…sorry….my friends are so noisy…I hope you don't mind" He said looking at Airi and Rex while they were quarreling and wrestling each other around the room

"Oh, no… not at all….to be honest, I find it rather interesting or should I say fun"

"your weird" But Mika only giggled

"So…what did you came all the way here for?"

"Well…there's something I like to inform you boys about…that is…. if I may"

Lune sat back at the sofa silently asking Mika to sit down but she refused

"Sure, go on!!" Rex said excitedly

"When did you two stops fighting" Lune gave them an annoyed look

"Don't be such a party pooper! And besides I'm talking to Mika here not you" Lune only sighed

"Yeah what was all this about informing us about whatsoever?" Asked Airi

"Right…It's about Kira, I'm quite sure you boys know her. This might be weird but…I'M SO SORRY THIS IS QUITE LATE!!! She bowed at them

Kishi was sitting at the window enjoying the soft breeze as his white hair flows along with it, finally found the conversation worth giving attention to, looked at her

"Why? And what about her?"

"Err…you see…Kira was a rescued child with nowhere else to go-"

"You said that before, from the Dark Lord's if I'm correct" Rex broke through her words

"Un…and…to tell you the truth I'm a coward, but I wish to change, not for me…but for her"

"Hey…look. You should go easy on yourself. Tell us everything." Airi consoled her

She took a deep breath and continued, "She was first brought here two months ago…"

Recalling her memories…

A girl, looking so confused, followed the dean silently. The dean opened a door, a room was behind it. There are two beds, at one, a young girl about nine or ten was sitting quietly; trembling and scared.

"Mika, this might be too much to ask of you… but if you may take care of this girl for the time being?" The dean spoke

"with all your respect, why me?" The girl was flustered

"hmm…I suppose, it's because I believe you are more trustworthy and reliable"

She looked at the girl once more and felt compassion. In the end she accepted the favor the dean asks of her.

Later that day, Mika finally decided to approach the girl. She walked into the room and towards the bed the girl was sitting on.

She hesitated. When she came nearer, the girl moved back.

"Oh! Don't be afraid! I won't hurt you" The girl looked at her "My name is Mika by the way" She gave a warm smile hoping that the girl would at least trust her "What's your name?"

Awkward silence struck the room

Mika became nervous and she panicked. The girl held the end of her shirt and moved closer to her.

"Err…do you understand me?" The girl nodded "Oh, can you speak then" she received no reply

"hmmm…" She opened the drawer and took a notebook and a white quill with a magic crystal tip.

"what about this?"

The girl accepted it and started writing

"Kira huh…that's a cute name! And you have such beautiful handwriting too!" She smiled once again

"So, wait! Your saying she's mute!" Rex shouted.

Kishi was rendered speechless in shock.

Kira was wearing a blue dress and is standing in front of the mirror, while Mika was standing behind her

"Wow! the school uniform looked pretty on you!" Mika gushed "hmmm, let me fix your hair" She

grabbed a brush from a nearby table. Struggling to know where to start or how to do it, she thought,

*Why is her hair so long! Damn where should I start!!*

After a couple of minutes, Mika now finally cleaned up Kira's messy hair

"Wow…look at you, I didn't know you were so beautiful"

*how pretty. I envy her*

They were walking down the halls to their classroom, Kira was holding at Mika's sleeve, maintaining a close distance, when they met a group of girls.

"Well, well…. Look whose here. It's our Mika" A girl spoke

"And look, you seemed to become a babysitter all of a sudden" Another Leaned forward to take a look at her, But Kira walked back

"You Little bitch! How are you so pretty?!"

"Hey! She's asking you, SPEAK!!"

The girls became annoyed. Mika gasped and trembled at their reaction, yet she couldn't do anything but watch.
