6 Chapter 5 Faithful Reunion

It was Friday at dawn, the sky shown bright yet, it was cloudy; there is no sun.

Kishi was already gone when Airi woke up. He didn't seem to be bothered. Instead, he just sighed. He jumped out of bed, got ready and dressed. His uniform was simple, he wore a long sleeve shirt, a red bola styled necktie, grey shorts, calf length socks, and simple shoes.

Walking to the school cafeteria, he met up with Lune and Rex. They entered the buzzing cafeteria and found Kishi sitting alone reading a book.

"Sitting alone….as usual…. well…what are you reading" Airi sat beside Kishi, struggling hard to take a peek at Kishi's book

"None of your business" Kishi said coldly at him closing the book he's reading

Rex just sat with them grinning and Lune did the same without a care in the world. They joined the chattering crowd while eating their breakfast and left afterward to their class.

It was noisy before they came in. But the moment they entered the door, the classroom became so quiet as if not a single soul was there.

The teacher came in after a little while. He tapped a magic crystal laying in his desk with his teachers stick.

Light appeared out of it. It formed a big like board of light where names and scores of students are written. Everyone looked at it carefully.

Airi gave out a small laugh

"seriously…. how come your always at the top?" Airi glanced at him suspiciously "you like – nailed every single test by a hundred percent!"

"Get used to it…" Lune sighed

Whispers stated coming one after the other. It seems that the girls are staring at the very last name written on the board. Cruelty and envious stares filled the atmosphere.

Kishi, without a care on what's happening, walked out of the room under the teachers orders to all the students to go straight to the school's indoor stadium in order to proceed with the first day of the training program.

The teacher stood in the middle of the platform, while the students sat at the stands.

Everybody was exited when the teacher opened his mouth to speak

"I assume all you students are familiar with the rules, yes!" he looked up at the stands "very well… if there are no more questions, then we may now proceed. The first fight starts at the very top and bottom, then comes the next!" He took a deep breath and… "First fighters at the platform!!"

"Well…you better go" said Airi

Kishi didn't bother to go through the stairs. Thus, he just jumped over the railing, landed nicely five feet below the stands. He looked around for a quick moment and walked to the center.

Meanwhile, Airi, Lune and Rex were leaning against the railing wondering. They thought of whose unlucky enough to face off with his wrath. Little do they expect it to be a little girl at the same age as theirs.

Mouths fell open, the unexpected thoroughly petrified them. But unlike their reaction, the girls were muttering with each other

"That little bitch, I can't wait to see her face on the floor"

"tell me about it…she would be screaming for mercy"

"That's what she gets for being a disgrace…. Why was she even here anyway?"

"Yeah, I know…commoners have no right taking part of this school"

The boys sighed in pity of the girl, not only did because she has the worst partner, but also because the whole school seemed to hate her that much.

"How unlucky…" Rex cried

"I thought this was just a normal high school! How come there's a girl at her age here?!" Airi asked

"She's a slave rescued from a dark organization called Dark Lords" A voice came from behind that stunned the boys

"There were only three of them whom survived. A boy and two girls. The first girl was retrieved by her family, but since no one claimed them, they were allowed to participate with the school by the Dean. The boy was sent to the Boy's school, while she was left here"

"What…the…hell..." Rex panted

"you are…?" Lune questioned

"Mika" the girl spoke

She has brown hair in twin braids, and wore glasses

Sigh "I'm worried for her… she must be really scared… she can't even speak anymore."

The boys looked back at the girl, she has gorgeous white silky hair that is very long and messy that covered most of her face. She was very shy looking and fragile. Although she dresses simple, she has the impression of elegance no other girls possess.

With that kind of physical appearance, it would be quite obvious why he girls in the school hates her that much. The world is quite envious specially if one does not possess the strength to defend itself from the hatred of others.

While she walks towards the center, her trembling was easily noticed. She looks so weak anyone who sees will feel compassion. However, Kishi didn't seem to have any bit of kindness as he looked at her with glaring cold eyes.

The crowd suddenly burst out of laughter when she tripped and fell on her face.

She tried to quickly sat up. She was scared and nervous, but that kind of accident made her feel even worst that she felt like crying while she clutches her skirt still trembling.

Kishi sighed and started walking towards her. Airi, Rex and Lune started panicking.

They didn't know what to do, all they ever wanted was to save the girl from Kishi.

Everyone gasped after what happened next.

Kishi was there standing before her, reaching his hand out to help the pitiful girl.

Everyone was shocked, and Kishi was no exception. Knowing him, the boys standing there never once saw him show an act of kindness towards others. This situation however was different.

Kishi is dissatisfied with his own actions. He was embarrassed but he knew it was too late to turn back now that he's done it.

The girl felt anxious. She did not know how to respond. She feared to mock the hand that was reaching out to her. Yet she also feared that the other girls will be mad at her for touching the hands of a prominent person.

She knew she had to decide quickly. Thus, she just betted her life and choose the second option and raised her hand.

The exact moment their fingers met Kishi said with a soft a low voice

"Kira…."
