14 Chapter 13 The pain of saying hello, and risk another goodbye

Days went by quickly. Every Friday, most awaited the first turn, and it always never fails to make them all speechless. Kira had been improving as she steps on the school's indoor stadium. Yet no matter how much she grew, her ability is still no match to her dear twin brother, Kishi. At one time, her sword flew out of her hand when Kishi kicked it. There's also a time when Kishi walked behind her and patted her head, and the katana she's holding just fell out of her hands.

Mika and Kira had also been hanging around the boys whenever they had time to, and of course, without anyone noticing.

"Your world is so amazing..." Mika cuddled her pillow as she lay on her bed.

"Mika...."

"sorry"

Mika was deeply in daze as she wondered through her mind about what she experienced in Kira's perspective. It was amazing. Having good friends who cares and understands, even if you don't speak or act your emotions, they deeply understand. They know what it's like to live a wealthy life, yet full of chains of sufferings, but they always smile and live their lives to the fullest no matter how hard things get, and are sure to be there whenever you need them to. Friends that are so hard to find, yet so easy to lose; friends of the fantasy world...

Kira and Mika were walking down the hallway back from class when, they once again met Aud and her gang looking maliciously at them. They tried to ignore them and just walk away, but they found themselves cornered before they even realized it.

Mika was so upset; she could see Kira tremble beside her. She felt like coward who does not want to get involved, but a side of her says that she wanted to help and protect her for once and change her past self.

She stood blankly for a second, and without any more hesitations, nor thinking of any circumstances... "Get away!" said Mika sharply, giving them the worst look she could muster

Aud and the other girls gave out a tiny laugh, "Oh? I was actually about to believe you're a coward, but I guess I was wrong now aren't I" Aud smiled coldly at her "But I believe you should just stay as a coward and save your heroic act for the future--"

"You have gone too far Audecy!" Mika shouted at her. Aud frowned,

"In what right do you have to speak my name?!"

"Oh, I have every right to do this you damn bitch!" Mika shot her

"This is not even your business WHY THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN TRYING AFTER BEING A DIRTY COWARD FOR SO LONG!!!" Aud snapped. The other girls just watched them unsure of what to do or say. Kira just looked at Mika anxiously as she fought with Aud.

Aud couldn't contain her self anymore. She wanted to put a stop to their pointless arguing and decided to just do what she came there for. She held up her arms to reach to Kira, but Mika immediately pulled Kira from her arms behind her. But everyone in the place was petrified at what happened next.

Aud's hand was hit hardly from the back of it by Kishi who suddenly appeared in between them. The air became dense. The atmosphere around them turned cold. Everyone forgot to breath and turned really pale that cold sweat ran trough their skins madly. Kishi's blood-lust ran havoc all around, his eyes were as cold as if his going to kill someone right now. He looked at Aud with mischievous and deadly look, she was frightened she became mute. Not a sound was to be heard, Mika and some other girls covered their mouths with their hands, unable to do anything.

Pearly tears fell from Kira's cheeks. She cried under her breath with a trembling and disbelieving voice "N-nisan...."

Kishi regained his senses almost immediately. The Atmosphere became normal once again. His eyes were as blank as the used to be as he looked at her

He apologized as soon as he could "I....I'm sorry.....I-I tend to lose my self someti--"

"Was it because of me?"

Kishi was taken aback by her words. He did not expect it.

Kira smiled at him bitterly when she received no reply "I should have known"

Without having a second thought, she ran past through him, leaving him and the others without any time to recover themselves.

She was so upset. She just ran and ran without a thought of where she's going. She cried bitterly. She can't admit it, or rather she doesn't want to. It was her first time seeing that side of him, and that kind of thought only gave her heart a hell of pain.

She blamed herself for wanting way too much than she'd ever deserved. It was all hers. If she hadn't been there to exist in the first place, the four years' worth of suffering wouldn't have existed either. Her brother wouldn't have to blame himself or would have his cold and ruthless second personality.

When she thought about it, it would have been a different story if she just kept ignoring him, and then one day they may then forget about their past and move on. But she gave in to her desires, and brought another reason of anguish, one that she would totally regret. But all said and done, she could only resent herself for being so greedy.

Kishi ran after her a second after she left. Yet it was almost night and the grounds were dark thus, he lost sight of her. Instead he used his natural instincts as a twin to find her and found himself at the entrance of a bell tower.

The pushed the oak door, and what met him was a circular room dimly lit by fragments of light crystals on the walls like torches. A stone staircase that leads directly to the top floor is covered in dust, that signifies that the place is rarely entered. He climbed up the dusty stairs up quickly. An enormous bell was at the top most part of it. Kira was sitting by the edge of the tower, hugging her knees and crying.

Kishi called her name being as gentle as he could. The moment she heard Kishi's voice, she quickly stood up and slipped. She almost fell of the tower, but Kishi caught her just the last second.

Kishi pulled her towards him, and holding her tightly in his arms. He was trembling, his embrace became tighter, and Kira only continued to sob

"Don't you ever dare let go of me again!" He warned her forcefully but she only cried "Please...don't leave me. Don't make me feel that kind of pain again...please..." He pleaded holding her more tightly

Kira pushed his chest backward and got off from his arms "Gomen'nasai, demo, sayonara...arigato" She smiled at him that made his heart sank "nisan..."

And with that she disappeared in the wind. Kishi was left their confused. Why would she apologize? Why would she say goodbye? In fact, why would she even say all those words out of the blue? Those questions run madly in Kish's mind

He sat by the edge and placed his hands on his forehead. Kira was the only person he ever shared everything with, they even shared their emotions and thoughts, and could feel each other's worries and fears. Yet, this kind of things are one that he could never understand. Perhaps it's because she doesn't want him to understand or to know, then if that is the case, then there's no way he could ever do so on his own, or without help from someone else.

Meanwhile, Mika finally regained her senses, and ran as fast as her feet would take her after them. She came in the tower and up trough the dusty stone staircase. She saw only Kishi moping by himself that caused her to feel more anxious about the situation.

She couldn't help it any more, she must tell him the truth. Or more accurately, she must tell him the truth...before it's too late

"Kishi" She called "there something that I need to tell you.....It's about Kira..."
