13 Nomus...?

[Time is running out, you are closer to death than you think.] -???

-*-*-

"Heh?" Midoriya let out, incredulous.

"I erased your quirk." Aizawa said, using his scarf to bring him closer.

'So he really does have a quirk.' I thought, looking at the two of them talking.

The pro hero did not seem to like what Midoriya was going to do.

From what the brown-haired girl said, there is a good chance of him breaking his bones with the use of his quirk.

All clues indicate a middle-tier quirk, with a severe backlash.

However, my instinct tells me that there is more to it.

No harm watching him more closely though.

I swiftly took out my phone and made sure that nobody was watching the screen.

Going into my notes I wrote [Eve. Monitor Midoriya. Tell me if there is anything worth knowing.].

Not a second later, Eve's reply was immediate. [Affirmative. I will hack his phone to have audio records and other useful information.]

As expected from Eve. Efficient to no end.

I put my phone back in my pocket and my attention was once again on the scene in front of me.

Midoriya seems to have gained another chance to launch the ball. The look on his face was the very definition of determined.

"He's gonna get expelled for sure." Katsura said, looking at him.

To be honest, his score would surely be at the bottom of the ranking. I don't have much hope for him.

His arm was cocked back, then began to make the throwing motion.

From what I saw earlier, it is not different at all.

No sight of using a quirk or anything.

That's what I thought. However, immediately when the soft-ball was leaving contact with his last finger, it had an incredible amount of power. It was incredible enough to make the ball fly farther than a regular human could have.

'To make the soft-ball fly so far with one finger. Somehow, it feels like I have already seen it somewhere. The question is where?' I asked myself.

The answer is so near and so far at the same time. It is slightly frustrating.

He clenched his fist, a broken and bloody finger as a result of the usage of his quirk.

"I-I can still move... sensei!" He said, pretty proud of himself.

Still. From his expression, he is barely holding back his tears.

The chubby girl named Uraraka and the elite guy seems to be happy with his record.

Katsura, on the other side...

She had an unbelieving expression on her face.

Now that we all saw it with our eyes, we can't help but admit that he has a quirk.

I don't know if he really lied about not having one or not since I don't really care about him.

Katsura who considered him as a 'quirkless shit' was way more shaken though.

"What the fuck is this Deku!" She asked, running toward him, using her explosion to get to him even faster.

This girl really is hot-blooded.

Fortunately, or unfortunately, she did not have enough time to blow him in pieces as Aizawa used his scarf to immediately immobilize her.

"I can't use my quirk?!" She realized, trying to blow the scarf.

"Don't make me use my quirk so much and stop causing a ruckus. Unless you want to be expelled." He threatened, releasing her.

She seems to understand that doing anything here was useless and came back to my side, the darkest scowl I have seen on her face.

"Now you all are calm enough, it is time to present the results." Aizawa announced, using a device on his hand to make a hologram.

"Oh yeah. That whole 'expulsion' thing was a lie." He declared.

Now that's something surprising. I am almost certain that he really wanted to expel someone.

Some students were beyond shocked. Hell. Their character design became even shittier than ONE's OPM.

Momo shook her head on the side, disapproving of her schoolmates' lack of composure.

"Wasn't it obvious? It was a ruse to make us do our best." She said, very sure of her words.

"Nah girl. He expelled his whole class last year. He may just have changed his mind." I said, walking away.

Aizawa was already gone and it means that we did not have anything else to do at school.

"What?" Momo asked, incredulous.

"Either way, see you tomorrow." I replied, waving without turning back.

-*-*-

I quickly change my clothes and exit the restroom.

"Hey, buddy!" Someone called me.

I stopped walking and waited for the guy to come nearer.

"I am not disturbing you right now?" He asked.

"No. I am not in a hurry or anything." I replied.

We began to continue walking toward the school's entrance.

"I am Kaminari Denki. What you did with the ball earlier was way too cool y'know?" Holding his hand to me.

Obviously shaking it, I presented myself too.

"Kumo Aizen. Do you need something in particular or just wanna make some casual chit chat?" I asked.

Scratching the back of his head, he replied.

"It's just that you are cool and all... Ah! We also have a common point you know?" He said while raising his hand above his head.

"Our quirk?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah! We can control electricity! Though yours is way cooler." As if on cue, some sparks were produced between his fingers.

"Pretty cool man. We can make electric high-five." I proposed, raising my hand.

"It will be cool as fuck! Here I go." He said, making some spark come alive on his hand.

The next second, our hands collided in the air and the crack of lightning echoed in the corridor.

As if we were magnetic opposites we got pushed away from each other.

I unconsciously absorbed most electricity, but the sound was still strong enough to deafen him for a few seconds.

Kaminari probably had his ears ringing and thought that mines were too.

"That's was fucking cool! Next time we do it weaker! My hand is a little numb!"

Since he couldn't hear me, I only nodded at him.

A few seconds later, we were outside and he waved at me, his ears still ringing.

He went to a woman resembling him and they went in a car.

I was going to leave too when a hand on my shoulder stopped me.

"Let's go home together." She said with a surprisingly calm tone. It was almost frightening.

"Why not." I agreed, nodding at her.

We walked to the station and took the first train toward our district.

Neither of us talked through the whole way there. It was quite a comfortable silence even though she often glared at Midoriya who was on the same train. The latter was too coward to do anything besides staring at his feet.

A few minutes later, we exited the train and walked toward our houses.

"Tell me, Aizen." She began, gaining my attention.

"Is it about Midoriya?" I asked, already knowing what she wanted to say.

"... Are you really unaffected by all of that?"

"What do you mean?"

"He lied to us for... since we were four years old..."

"..." Looking at her face, I could see her frustration behind her angry expression.

"... He thinks that he is so great that we don't deserve knowing about his quirk. It's infuriating." She continued, her fists closed.

I pat her head for a few seconds. My actions seem to have calmed her a little since she stopped shaking from fury.

"Don't fret about useless things. Now that he has a quirk, it's time to show him that you are way better than him right?" I proposed.

This girl always thinks that competitiveness is an answer. With the goal I gave her, she will let him be and focus on crushing him without actually beating him to death.

"That's a good idea... hehe." She whispered, smirking at her thoughts.

It's better for me to not know what they are.

"Let's stop talking about the green coward. The old woman wanted to ask if you are free for dinner tonight." She asked.

"Yeah, why not. I should have a little thing to do before that. When exactly should I come?"

"Around 9 p.m. You better come!" Katsura shouted, quickly going to her house and closing the door.

"Women are strange." I scratched my head at her behavior.

Taking my phone from my pocket, I called a certain someone.

A beep was heard, letting me know that the call was secure.

The person on the other side replied.

"Kumo Aizen. What do you desire?"

"I wanted to see the abominations you made... Nomus if I remember correctly."
