12 Chapter 12 : Death Border

In the border of Cheoris Kingdom( Alex's Kingdom) and Lailon Empire(or what it was left of ) there was a large patch of mountain ranges, hills, bogs and other complicated terrain, fully cutting off both countries from one another and the only way to travel between was a bridge . The military strength of the Cheoris Kingdom only consisted of Six Regiments, of which one was stationed at the Hope CIty as a guard, one stationed to guard the eastern border of the Empire, and four Regiments stationed here at the Death Border, guarding the important pass between the two countries. Due to the complexity of the terrain, both sides rarely had any form of large-scale war (if you are confused by this : The Lailon empire was destroyed by a necromancer and now, Cheoris Kingdom is fighting with the undead , so I will use the Lailon Empire as a undead Empire ) , but there were always constant small skirmishes. The most commonly used forms of combat was to deploy a small troop to harass the opposing side. .

The Death Border's camp encompassed more than fifty square km where the four Regiments totally more than 50,000 (Warriors aren't that rare, but most of the people remain as Warrior ) were stationed. With their tents under the open skies and barracks and the faint killing aura in the atmosphere, which could cause fear in a normal citizen.

When Alex and his group ( Samir and Angela ) saw the huge military compound, their hearts were set aflame as their blood boiled. This was the military compound on the front lines. The most dangerous place in the entire Kingdom ,but the most wanted place for the warriors .

Earlier, when Carla's battalion,which has only three thousand soldiers , was marching towards the border , they were attacked by undeads .

The number of casualties from the battle had been counted when they had arrived at the border camp, and more than one hundred troops had perished, seventy severely wounded, and more than two hundreds with minor wounds after the ambush by the enemy undead Warriors . That was an extremely terrifying number! After all, the enemy ambushing party only numbered 400 undead, including the twenty Rank Six undead Warriors hidden members, there were only a total of 420 undead ambushing them. From the start of the fight to the end, it had barely been half an hour . Furthermore, their target had really only been Carla, the commander of this reinforcement battalion, yet they had still suffered such a huge loss of so many trained soldiers.
