11 Interlude- Fated Reunion

(A/N: This chapter is just my take on AU Freya from Danmachi. I am pretty sure there are many differences between our Freya and Danmachi one. That's all I wanted to state before the chapter.)

My name is Freya. And this is my story.

It all started around 700 million years when I was born with divinities of Magic, War, Beauty and Love. We gods are born directly from our divinities and form our souls with some help from Tenkai (Heavens). Those times were truly chaotic. There were too many gods present at time in Tenkai, some gods instigated a godly war that spanned across the entire Tenkai.

Anyway, I also participated in these wars after being born. During these wars, I made some friends like Hephaestus and Loki. After a few million years of war, I came across 'him'.

He was a God of Rage, Destruction, War and Slaughter. And his name was Odr. We came across each other just by chance by being on the same side during a battle. After our side defeated the other side. And the first words he said to me, I still remember till this day.

"Woman your magic is truly beautiful." He spoke very sincerely.

I already liked the man because of his appearance, way of battle and many other things. But when he complemented my Magic, I finally realized that this was Love. I decided on that day that that man will be mine.

We met across many battlefields 'coincidentally' and our relationship got closer. In the end after a few millions of years worth of interaction, we became partners for eternity. (A/N: Basically marriage.)

Later during our interactions, I realized that Odr had a similar feeling towards me from our first meeting. I felt quite sweet hearing that. From this I realized that my husband is just awkward in these delicate matters.

Wars continued, new gods were born. Many older gods died. And time went on and on.

Around 600 million years ago, my husband and I came across an ambush. Many gods were ganging up on a single goddess. My husband wanted to help and I agreed because gods like these should die as soon as possible. I mean what if they ambushed us some other time, and we were overwhelmed because of our arrogance.

Just as we were about to go and help the goddess, the goddess came out and annihilated the group of gods with fire. We were stunned. And my husband was excited as well, since he likes good opponents. Especially ones who might be stronger than him, case in point.

He went ahead and approached the goddess and asked for a duel. The goddess refused to have one. When my husband asked for the reason, she answered that she couldn't be bothered to fight. Also she just wants to relax and laze around at home. My husband was puzzled as well as disapproving of such views, so they started arguing with each other. That was our first meeting with Hestia, the Goddess of Hearth.

As time went on, we visited Hestia from time to time and became friends with her. Well she was more friendly with my husband, and they had a very good relationship with each other. Sometimes I wondered if there was something there, but Hestia denied and my husband was puzzled when I asked about it.

This went on for around another 100 million years. And then that day arrived.

Some of my old enemies, set up an ambush for me when I was alone. There were dozens of gods there, when I was about to be overwhelmed. Odr came and saved me, he asked me to retreat and recuperate while he handles the enemies. I wanted to stay but he wasn't having it. He then proceeded to knock me out.

When I came to, we were in our house. I looked around and noticed my husband. His appearance was bloody but then I noticed his injuries were fatal. I then realized that these injuries were due to him protecting me. I was stunned and blamed myself for it.

He shook his head and asked me not to blame myself. He also said that he killed all the ambushers so there's no need to worry but I knew he wouldn't last long. His divinity was leaking after all.

He told me that he would never leave me and that he found a way to not die permanently. He then proceeded to remove his divinities from his soul and stored them in a vial. I can only imagine how painful that was. He then told me to keep his divinities with myself for safekeeping until his return. As his soul was fading or maybe transferred somewhere by some laws, he said to me,"Even if it takes an eternity to find you, I will find you." And then his soul faded away.

I cried that day a lot. I stayed in our home for many years after that. When Hestia visited, and asked me what happened. She cried and blamed me for it, her appearance was heartbroken. I then knew that she loved my husband as well, maybe she was too proud to admit it? I may have even accepted their relationship...no that's not possible. At that time there's no way I would have accepted my husband to have relationship with another woman. Now I don't know, maybe he wouldn't have died if they were in a relationship. Hah, forget it. Past is the past, we can't change it. Anyway, the main point is that my friendship with Hestia was destroyed or at least very strained.

A short time after that, the wars stopped. There was a long period of peace after that.

Around 100 million years ago, we created spirits in Genkai (mortal world) to help the mortals with the monsters that were created by Gaia.

Time went on and on. I missed Odr greatly but I have no idea when he will return. I was depressed for a very long time.

10 thousand years ago gods first descended on the mortal world and interacted with mortals. Some foolish gods died by the hands of monsters and those monsters became very powerful because of that. These monsters were then called Three Great Quests.

1000 years ago, a great hero from mortals named Albert Waldstein fought with one of the Three Great Quest, named Black Dragon. In the end, he was only able to take out one eye of the dragon at the cost of his life. That black dragon was then called One Eyed Black Dragon in remembrance of Albert.

After this event, the Overlord of Tenkai, Ouranos formed a pact with Gaia. And formed a city over the Labyrinth of Orario. He then ordered the other gods to seal their Arcanum when they come down to the Genkai. I finally decided to descend, by having the idea that my husband might be reincarnated as a mortal. So finding him there was my chance.

Descending to Genkai has its side effects, I have to act according to my divinities to maintain my life. As distasteful as it was, I acted according to them all for my love. Of course I didn't lay with another man or woman. I just had to act beautifully and spied with my Magic on couples during their lovemaking. Of course it was distasteful. I also formed a strong Familia in the mean time because of my charm.

After Zeus and Hera Familia failed in subjugating One Eyed Black Dragon and in turn got destroyed. Me and Loki took the place of strongest Familias in Orario. This increased my influence, and that's a good thing because this way it makes it easier to find him when he comes back.

A few years have passed since then. One day when I was in my lounge, I saw a few words appearing in front of my eyes.

I am amused by the choices but all that I desire huh, wonder who in Tenkai is doing this?

'I accept'

And then this rectangular device appears from a portal and information about how to operate it entered my mind.

For the first time in a long time something this amusing happened to me. So I just joined the chat group and started chatting with the other members. I also found out that there was an owner or admin of this chat group. Also presence of some other dimensions was made known to me. Maybe my Odr is somewhere out there? But this admin gave me a weird feeling for some reason, maybe it's because of his title?

And then after that, at the suggestion of the admin we all started introducing ourselves with pictures. As soon as admin introduced himself and I saw his picture, I was stunned. It was because he looked really similar to Odr. Although he was a bit thicker, a bit darker skin tone and shorter hair. He is also Apostle of Wrath. So I asked him to wait but then decided against it. Since he doesn't seem to remember me, I would just come off as rude after all. I also got to know his name, Amar.

After that the rewards came, and I got a superior divinity of Magic than my current ones and I was ecstatic for it because it would easily suppress my other divinities without any side effects. So I suppose no need any for any distasteful acts from now on.

A few days went by like this and I got used to my new divinity. This really is a great thing. So I was just chatting in the device with Amar who I am 90 percent sure is now the reincarnation of Odr, but he is now more level headed than before. He then started giving us stories from which he knew about us.

I was in some novel named Danmachi from Amar's world. And as I fast read it with magic I was stunned silly because of the sheer madness that was written there. I know that I was having a very hard time controlling my urges but cheating on my husband with other beings is unacceptable.

Also what in the hell is Freya in the story thinking that Bell Cranel could be her Odr, the only reason it might fit is because Hestia is interested in him. His soul being pure just excludes him from being her True Odr because Odr's soul had anger in it. Truly that Freya probably went mad or something. The story begins 6 years from now but I suppose it won't be like that any longer.

Anyway, this won't happen. I won't let it. Also I suppose it's time to overthrow that senile old fool Ouranos. His waiting and seeing modus operandi have cost many people many things.

Amar also posted a new picture of his appearance, and I was pleasantly shocked because he is just a skin tone away from his former appearance.

A few days went by and I became celestial overlord after overthrowing Ouranos but I left him in charge of trivial issues. He will be useful like that. Also I disbanded my Familia because I had no need for them any longer.

I am just now waiting to meet Amar and confirm that he is my Odr. And a quest suddenly pops up and I grow excited because this is my chance.

1) Pass Headon's test to gain qualification to climb the Tower as an Irregular.

2) Pass the 2nd floor or the Floor of tests to gain access to the Inner Tower.

Optional Objectives:

1) Pass the Floor of tests by taking the administrator's test.

2) Pass the Floor of tests through Special Position Test.

Common rewards: Permission to change username, 10000 points, ???

Individual rewards will be given according to the contribution of the individual.]

I then start to get ready after some small talk in the chat group. I suppose I will wear my godly raiment for this because there will definitely be battles there.

And then it's finally time. I get transferred to a dark place and I find Amar standing there looking at us. I immediately confirm that it's the same soul as Odr. I then immediately tackle him into a hug, and start sobbing because of my bubbling emotions.

When I hugged him I somehow felt complete, I also felt wetness on my right shoulder which I assume are his tears. I am relieved that his soul still remembers me even after who knows how many reincarnations.

Alright so that's it for Freya backstory, did you like it? Is it too cheesy? Well I don't care to be honest. Some parts of this backstory were from delirious state due to my sickness.
