5 Sharingan

I watched Haori walk away after talking to Hagoromo, Hamura, and I. While all three of us where together, Hagoromo had managed to spot a group of our friends along with Haori walking over to the divine tree. We went down to confront them, but just like in cannon, Haori and the others proceeded with their orders.

I did however manage to secretly place a fuinjutsu seal on Haori before she left. An experimental one that I had no idea if it would work against the divine tree. This seal would take the chakra from the divine tree and use it to keep the wearer's life force, body, and mind stable as possible. Basically using the tree's chakra against it, to fight the transformation into a white Zetsu.

Afterwards Hagoromo and Hamura confronts Kaguya about the divine tree. They wanted the ritual to end. However, that was something Kaguya would never allow. She wants an army of Zetsus to fight against the main tribe of Ōtsutsuki's after all.

Like a bunch of mindless zombie's could fight a godly race.

Kaguya immediately left to "take care" of some "discontent people" right after saying no. Of course the brothers had no idea. I also don't know where she teleported off to, so I couldn't help those stupid people even if I wanted too. Rest In Peace.

"I'm going to the divine tree, I need to know what mother is doing." Hagaromo spoke up after a couple hours of contemplation.

"Despite the consequences?" Hamura counter.

"We need to know the truth." Hagaromo resolve was quite clear in his eyes.

"Then, I am coming along with you." Hamura finished off.

"Count me in as well. I have had some suspicions about the "divine tree" ever since I learned that people have never returned from there."

Arriving at the base of the tree, Hamura uses his byakugan to survey the surroundings. Only for his face to scrunch up as he proceeded to charge at the tree. Hagoromo and I followed after him. Entering the tree they discovered bodies wrapped in odd paper like branch, there were couple hundreds of them too.

Hamura runs over to a nearby mummy and cuts it open.

"Yoruichi!" Hamura shouts out, she was a good friend of his, but now half her body has turned pasty whites down her hair was turning green. Wide eye in surprise, Hagoromo randomly opens up another.

"Kaname..." This was the man who taught Hagoromo carpentry, his sensei. Tears start to fall from his eyes, which had changed into a red color bearing three coma like marks in each. The sharingan was born.

"Hagoromo! Your eyes!" Hamura called out.

"I know, I felt the change... but this is more important." Hagoromo ignores his transformation, and pushes Hamura to find more.

I helped Hamura and Hagoromo gather the people they could recognize and we gave each one a proper burial. Eventually we came across Haori. Hagoromo gently picked her up, then felt that her body was still warm to the touch.

"She- she's alive!" Hagoromo immediately began using his chakra to heal her, and it work.

"Hagoromo, is that you?"

"Yes." Hagoromo began to cry once more, but from joy.

"My memories are faded, but I still can recognize your smile." She then giggled a little before falling asleep due to exhaustion.

"It seems my seal worked." I accidentally spoke out loud. Both brothers looked at me oddly.

"What do you mean?" Anger fills Hagoromo's face. I decide explain myself.

"I made a seal that would protect her, remember how I said that I was skeptical about the divine tree? Well, I theorized it's ability and made an experimental countermeasures against it. When we met Haori, I put it on her in hopes that she would survive. She did."

Hagoromo grabbed me by the collar of my robes and slams my into a wall. Which looked quite awkward because I was taller then him.

"Why didn't you put it on all of them!"

"It was an experimental measure. I was planning to test it out with my blood clones first."

"Did you have more then one!"

"...Yes."

"Then you should have had them as the god damn experiment! Even if it could have killed them, or there was 1% chance of it working. They would at least had a chance! Why didn't you at least put it on one more person." Hagaromo looked at me sincerity.

"I... I just thought that if anyone deserves a chance, it would be your lover."

"I loved them all. Haori was special, but that doesn't make them less important."

He was right, I saved Haori because she was my brothers lover. If I only had one seal on me I would of course use it on those closer to me. However, I had a total of 20 seals on me back then, too throughly test the seals effectiveness. But I only saved one person. Why?

Because I was looking at all this from a third person perspective. Everyone that wasn't important in cannon were still somewhat like background characters/npcs to me. Fuck.

"Ahhh, yeah. I was wrong. I'm sorry." That sounded so nonchalant, almost monotonous. Despite my genuine apology. Despite recognizing that I am partially responsible for their lack of survival.

Like a passing by doctor who ignored a wounded person. Maybe this was why my wife had killed me in my last life.

"Thank you..." Hagoromo then hugs me.

"What?"

"Thank you for at least saving Haori."

"...No problem."

This was the most emotional Hagoromo's ever been, and the most emotional he ever will be.

"Are you sure you want both of us to go?" Hamura question, while Hagoromo also waits for my answer.

"I already know about Sage power. With both of you going out to get as strong as possible. We have a better chance confronting mother. Besides, with me protecting the tribe. Both of you can train to master Sage power without worry." I logically responded. "Do you guys still have the red necklaces I gave you?"

"Yep!" Hamura points to his and Hagoromo's neck.

"Then remembered to crush them when you are in a pinch. It might just save your life."

"Alright, I take your word for it. Hamura, let's stop nagging our brother and move along." Hagoromo drags Hamura as they both head off to Mount Myōboku, the land of the toads.

I on the other hand start training and planing for Kaguya's return.

A/N:

No Hyūga has learn Sage mode to my knowledge, and I don't know how Hamura learns it in cannon to have black Truth-Seeking Orbs, because he doesn't go to Mount Myōboku in cannon.

I however theorize that he got Sage power when he was revived by the Sage seal.
