1 Chapter 1- Prologue

My name is Sophia and I had just returned from Meadow Sanitarium, partially a hospital for the insane. I was sent full of innocence, I didn't do anything. I was framed for hurting a girl at the end of the year 8th-grade dance. Cindy Strawman, she was covered in blood and had framed me for hurting her, but I never did lay a single finger on her. I have been there for 4 years. Today, I am headed back home. Meadowville.

The place where "all dreams come true," and good educational schools. I had friends back in elementary all throughout middle school. Megan, Isabelle, Ava and Bethel. They were my rock, they were my BFF's, I don't know what happened to them, where they are, if they moved away, if they have dropped out of school because it sucks ass. I used to have a crush in 3rd grade...his name is Liam Brown, he has been my crush ever since I had left. I had heard that he had gotten a early scholarship for SCSU, and it's sophomore year. I guess he still lives here. The high school is called Village High School. My mom works at her own company and helps people with their insurance, so we are a wealthy family. My mom had helped me bring all of my stuff into the car we had drove back to the similar house that I lived in all of my life.

I had put in my earphones and listened to my music I had started listening to Speedwagon I Can't Fight This Feeling Anymore. I had unpacked everything and had started going to my room. I had stopped when I saw new decorations and looked like a room that was perfect for me.

I went downstairs and saw my mom, looking at a magazine. "Mom, did you change my room?" She had smiled at me when she had realized that it was me. "I mean, I wanted to change it up for you, when you planned on coming back." I had nodded and stood their with my awkward thoughts. I had heard a voice that had broken me out of my trance. "Why don't you go around the neighborhood and try and reconnect things with people." I rolled my eyes and had imagining me actually trying to get every single last person to be my friend again. "Yeah sure, but i'll have to take a shower first." She had nodded and continued to look at a Vogue Magazine. I went and had taken a shower and changed into my clothes that my mom had recently bought.

I had walked out and had grabbed a apple and took a bite out of it. I had overheard something that was on the television. "Hi Lori Yates here, we have gotten breaking news in Meadowville a 17 year old girl is butchered to death last night. Witnesses in the neighborhood said that they heard screaming from the house, but thought that she was partying around. Turns out this student went to Village High School. Her name was Cindy Strawman. Let her rest in peace. The suspect is still on the loose, so please take precautions of your surroundings." The news had changed to a new segment. I had stood there shocked as ever. Cindy, the girl that accused me of doing something to her, and sent me to a Sanitarium.

Now people are going to think that I did it, because of course they would think that I would have a motive.

I had went outside and had saw a big white bike, I had saw a note that was attached to it.

I decided to buy you a new bike, since I know you are going to be riding around everywhere. You welcome.

Dearly From: Your Mother.

I had smiled and had started admiring the new bike that I have received. My mom knows a lot about me and my personality she knows what kind of things that I am into.

I had gotten on it and had looked around and had started trying to think where I should go, some people don't actually believe that I would hurt someone like that. Like Megan, even though she was the one that had found Cindy, she didn't believe her or at least that is what she told me. We haven't seen each other for 3 years eventually she had stopped visiting me which was understandable. I had started pedaling to where her house was. I don't know if she still lives there or not, I have no idea if she moved. I had stopped in front of her house, and had seen her familiar blonde hair and a tall man that had no hair and the back, but had hair in the front. She had then turned around and had smiled excitedly when she had seen my face. She had ran towards leaving the man to walk back into her house.

I had walked towards and hugged her and had heard her say that she missed me. We had eventually pulled away and had smiled at me. "I heard you were going to come back and you look go good, oh my gosh, we can have sleepovers again and we can do each others makeup." I had soon cut her off. "Where is Isabella, Ava and Bethel?" She had sighed and had sat on her porch patting the seat next to her. "We really tried Sophia, we tried to stay together but, the more that you were gone the more that we were drifting apart, and eventually we stopped talking to each other, and we started hanging out with different people. Let's just say we all belong in a cliche now." I had furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "What do you mean cliche?" She had ran a hand through her hair while she was trying to collect words. "Ava belongs to the popular girls, Isabella belongs to the sporty cliche, and Bethel belongs to the nerd cliche...and me I am in the outcast cliche." She had looked down and had started fiddling with her hands. "What about Liam?" I had asked before I realized that I had said it. She had smirked and had starting to full on smile at me. "Well, he is in the football team and everyone knows him as the quarterback and he recently got a scholarship to SDSU so yeah and I'm not sure you wanna know this but Ava is dating him, but to be honest I can tell that they don't really like each other." We had sat there in silence for a few minutes, until Cindy had popped into my mind. "D-Did you hear what happened to Cindy last night?" She had sighed. "Yeah, it's been all over the news...it's so unbelievable." I had started questioning everything that was coming out of her mouth.

"You don't think that I did it do you?" She had looked at me in my eyes. "Of course not, Sophia, the way that she was killed, it seems like something that you wouldn't do." I had nodded and had sighed in relief, she may think that I didn't do it, but other people are going to think otherwise. "Hey why don't you eat breakfast with me at the diner, before we go to school, maybe we can go together like old times?" I had nodded and had gotten up. "I have to go get my backpack and stuff." She had nodded after my response. "I'll come pick you up." I had furrowed my eyebrows. "Oh yeah umm I have a car so, i'll come and get you that way you don't have to ride on your bike." I had nodded and had gotten on my bike and had started pedaling home.
