15 The Final Countdown

Clayton had been anticipating this moment for a while. The moment when Cloud and his team can take down Sephiroth and save the planet. Cloud and his team reach Rocket Town. They headed straight for the rocket. Shrina guards stopped them, but Cloud ate them up like yesterday's breakfast. They reach the cockpit, and Cid's crew are in the pit getting everything ready.

"What the hell are you doing?"

"Boss, your back. We're finally going into space. Our rocket is going to save the planet?"

" Will, you just get it over with?" Cloud looked up from his book.

"Look. This thing can break a planet into pieces, and we have to go through our procedures."

"But you can't do that in space, right?" Cid's hands cracked a bit.

"Nah. Once we're in space, we're not going to do anything." Cloud looked up from his book.

"Listen up. We are all in this together. No one man gets praised for anything." Cid told his crew to get out of the pit. He then took over. Then auto-pilot suddenly came on.

"Hahaha! Well, time for you to shine." The greasy Palmer was up to no good again. We thought we had seen the last of him, but he manages to escape after getting hit by the semi-truck.

"The rocket's auto-pilot has been fixed. It would be best if you thanked your lovely assistant for being on time today. Hahaha!" Shera decided today she wanted to be on time rather than any other day.

"Why did she have to be early today? Why not the other times?"

"Oh, don't worry about the countdown. You won't need it. Hahaha!" Cid was so pissed he knew he should have killed him the last time. They heard the rocket getting ready to take off. The rocket shot and was now in space and headed straight for Meteor with the material inside. Cid tried to find a way to steer the rocket from crashing into Meteor. They want to destroy Meteor. Just not this way. But that damn Palmer locked it so they couldn't switch it. So they had to find another way. Cid remembered that he kept an emergency pod on the rocket.

"Right, this rocket crashes into the Meteor will escape on that pod."

"Wait. What are we going to do about the Hugh Material that still on this rocket." Tifa was a concern because they still needed it to deal with Sephiroth.

"I don't care what you do, but you will probably find the material beneath the stairs near the pod." Cid, at that moment, only cared that he could spend a few being in space. He had finally reached his dream of being in space. Even if it wasn't the way, he thought it would be. After spending a little time, Cid went with Cloud and them to get the material and head to the pod.

As they were on the way to the pod, an explosion happened within the rocket, and Cid's leg got stuck underneath. Cloud and Tifa tried to help Cid from under the debris.

"Yall leave me here. Quickly! Go! If you don't, will all die together!"

"I'm not leaving you. You were there for me when I wasn't right. So I'm going to do whatever it takes to get you out of here." Cid was getting piss off, and Cloud. He could care less about himself. He just wanted the others to get out before it was too late.

"You told me don't give up early. So you don't give up. You hear me?" Cid was trying to help them get this piece of metal off him, but it wasn't budging a bit. As Cid was tugging, he noticed this was the part that was causing part in the first launch.

"So Shera was right. Why didn't I believe it when she said it the first time. I'm so stupid." Shera walked after Cid finish apologizing.

"Now that not the Cid I know. He would never give up. " Shera came to help them move the metal piece off of Cid's leg. They finally got it off. Then Shera walked them the rest of the way to the escape pod. She stayed behind to detach the pod from the rocket. Cloud, Tifa. Cid and Shera all made it safely from off the rocket. Cid just watches as his rocket disappears from his window. They head back to the planet while the rocket is headed on its course for Meteor.

Meanwhile, Rufus and his crew were anticipating the moment when the rocket would crash into Meteor, and they would be praised for all the good work they did. But what they didn't know and Palmer knew was that Cloud and his team were on that ship. They had gotten the material and were headed back down the planet. The rocket collided with Meteor, but it didn't destroy it. It only split the planet in half. So Meteor was still sitting pretty up in the sky. The people of the planet notice that nothing had happened to Meteor. And they were saddened by this. The people were thinking, what was going to happen to them? Who was going to save them now? Shrina had clearly not kept their promise to destroy Meteor.

Cloud and team were back on the airship and on their way to deal with Sephiroth. Rufus and his crew's plan had failed. Now it was time for the Cloud and them to make things right. The team heard the planet or what they think is the planet screaming. Clayton remembers from early in the game when they visited Red XII's grandfather, and he told them about the planets, and this planet was dying and all that. So they needed to visit his grandfather to confirm what is really going on with the planet. They were heading to Cosmo Canyon. When they got there, his grandfather was waiting for them. He must have sensed something before they decided to come to see him.

"The planet is dying." Rude confirmed everything Red XII's grandfather said.

"It's true. I was planning to go back here after the battle with Sephiroth to tell you myself. I'm sorry I had to keep this from you." They learned that the only way to save the planet is to restore the Lifestream, then the planet would start to rejuvenate itself. Cid asks Red XII's grandfather if he could keep the Huge Material there. The grandfather agrees and puts it in his upstairs planet basement. Then grandfather let with Cloud and his team. He would help them along the way. We went back to where Aerith was killed. We went to the City of Ancients. We went to find the material that Aerith had been holding to before she dies. This particular material would help Cloud and his team defeat Sephiroth. We under to the water and search all around, and then Cloud found the white material. We left there and headed to our next destination. As the airship was head to the next area. Cloud was thinking to himself if he hadn't been all confused, Aerith wouldn't have had to die just to save us. If he had just talked to her about everything, she would still be us.

Cloud receives a call from Cait Sith.

"Cloud, the cannon from Junon had disappeared?"

"To where?"

"Rufus has it, and he's going to use it killed Sephiroth." Now Rufus is becoming a real pain in the ass for Cloud and his team. Clayton is getting impatient with his always butting into Cloud and his team's business. Cloud and his team rush back to the airship. They are headed for Midgar for one final battle. Rufus and his team had renamed the cannon to Sister Ray. They think that if they aim the cannon at Sephiroth's resting area, it will kill him and Meteor. Cloud and his team are heading for Midgar went the system inside the airship went crazy. It looks like Weapon is on its way to Midgar. Not looking good for Cloud and them. They must hurry and reach there before it does. Clayton was ready for the first fight out of two. We beat this Weapon and then take care of Sephiroth. Now Cloud and his team were facing Weapon. He stood about 10 ft tall and was the size of a small room. He was huge. But Clayton had faith that Cloud and his team would come out the winners. We starting fighting and the team hit him with the mime, which allows the whole team to repeat the same move if you don't have that move. Then the fight ended. Cloud and his team thought the creature was done for but turn away from them and start looking for something.

Meanwhile, Rufus's Sister Ray was ready for acting. They were getting it ready to launch it at Sephiroth's resting area in the northern border. They fire it and watch as it soars over the land heading to his resting spot. But Weapon was right close by, waiting to intercept Rufus's shot. Then Weapon starting shooting a laser at the shot coming it's way. But Rufus's shot went right through Weapon. And it opens the seal around Sephiroth resting spot. Rufus gets the news of what happened.

"Boss, Weapon has been defeated, and Sephiroth's seal has disappeared." But Rufus was also notified that the shot that Weapon released were heading their way. Rufus's watch in his office has shot coming straight them. Clayton enjoys watch Rufus give his medicine and for all the trouble he causes. Rufus was finally dead. All that was left to clean up was taking care of Sephiroth. The final countdown was underway. Cloud and his team were ready to take care of Sephiroth. He had to cause enough trouble. They got to Sephiroth's resting place. They sent a direct hit into him, but he didn't die. Next, they go to the Seal Sphere to break the seal to the Lifestream. Cloud places the huge white material into a white circle inside the sphere, and the seal starts crumbling down. The Lifestream comes out of the ground. The Lifestream came out of the ground and into the sky. They arrived at the center of the planet. They were waiting for this day for a while, and it was finally to settle things once and for all, especially for Cloud. He had to wait to deal with Sephiroth for the trouble he causes in his hometown and what he did to Tifa, Zack, and Aerith. It was time for him to pay the price. They enter a get attacked by Jenova and defeated that with easy. Sephiroth place other creatures in their way. It seems that he is a little scared of Cloud and his team. After the fight with Jenova, they end up in a place that they're not familiar with. Then Cloud's team wakes up to Sephiroth taking control of them. Sephiroth's power has become stronger, and it is hard for the team to escape him. Cloud and his team are having a time controlling their body. What is Sephiroth doing them? They can't figure it out.

They enter into the last fight they will have. This fight to save the planet, remember Aerith's death and what she gave up for them to reach here, and to Sephiroth from causing any more trouble. The team splits into three. Tifa, Cloud, and Vincent are in team one. Barrett, Cid, and Red XII are in team two. And Cait Sith and Yuffie are team three. The first go and fight Sephiroth's alter ego is difficult at first. But they have to hit the five targets on him, and the fight will be over. Clayton decides to give a look at team two and see how they are fairing. They are fighting the left side of this alter ego. Cait Sith is giving his all by casting fire magic at Sephiroth, and it's working. That part of the body dies. Time to go back to Cloud and them, but the side that team two defeated came back to life. Cloud was tired of this, so he leashes his mega 4 cut slash, and the alter ego was good as dead.

Time to finally meet Sephiroth. We get into the fight with him, and Vincent unleashes his Shadows Flare upon Sephiroth, which hurt him good, but not good enough. Clayton was getting nervous. He wasn't sure they would defeat Sephiroth in time. Clayton went to check with Henry on how much time he had left.

"Henry, how are we looking? Will we make it?" Henry to look in the system and turn to give Clayton the news.

"Clayton. You have 5 minutes left. You better get back." Clayton was disheartened by how much time left had, but he knew Cloud they would finish before the time ran out. Clayton goes back and sees that Cloud and the team are down to the wire with Sephiroth. Cloud is about to use his best summon, Tera Flare. Clayton and Henry sit back to see if this move will destroy Sephiroth. But it only nicks him. The Sephiroth is a lot stronger than they thought. Clayton is praying they come up with a move that will defeat him. We down to the last two minutes and get getting a little sticky. Will Cloud and his team make it in the last two minutes? And Clayton and Henry are surprised when Tifa using her mega move, and it kills Sephiroth. Sephiroth is finally dead, and the planet is safe. Clayton and Henry hug each other cause they are just so happy that Cloud finally won. Then the system comes up with a message.

"Thank you. You have finally completed the game. You are now free to leave." The portal opens from the side, and Clayton and Henry look at each other. They grab each other hands and walk through the portal. They are now in Clayton's room. He is finally home. The game process to show the rest of the credits. Then Clayton finally turns the system off. Clayton finally happened to be home.

"So this is your home. I feel weird being here. I so used to be in the game. I not sure what I'm supposed to do here."

"Don't worry. I'm here. I'll help you through." Clayton was so tired from the quest. He wanted a nap. He gave Henry the option to look around and get used to the things. Henry went to look at all his games and saw he had a collection of Final Fantasy games. He went and grabbed the Final Fantasy 8 game and put it in the PlayStation. Then as soon as the game went in, a glowing came from out the TV, and all you heard Henry say was. "Uh Oh, Clayton, here we go again."
