28 Messed up

I hope I did the right thing, but deep down I feel something is wrong... like I missing something out.

Getting out of my room I walk downstairs. I run into a wall. That's what I thought until I felt the sparks. I gasp. Gathering my courage I look up. I swear I heard my heartbreak. His face looked paler than his normal self. His eyes were full of life...that's how I remember them, were now lifeless, cold, and dead.

Ignoring me he walks upstairs. I ignored hurt and walked towards James who stuffing food in his mouth in a not attractive way.

"Had breakfast?" I asked him.

He nodded. I resisted the urge to roll my eyes.

"Um...Has..." Why is this so hard?

He looked at me weirdly.

Clearing my throat, I ask him,"Um..has Knox ate..?"

He smirked.

"you still care about him"

"Why don't you hear him Zes, I am both of your friends... I already know both of your p.o.v... Just hear him out" He sighed.

I looked at my feet, not knowing what to say.

"I am going to the gym," He said.

"James, wait for me" Mae yelled from her room.

I turned around as I heard her door open. She wore a hoodie halfway zipped up, her headset was hanging around her neck.

Everyone is out... other than raven who is playing with Wiskey in her bird form. Newly founded couples are gone for a date.

Frustratingly running my hand through my hair I walk to Knox's room.

"Knox," I said as I barged into the room.

"Hii~" Knox slurred.

"Knox what are you doing?" I ask with a frown as he was standing upside down.

"Chilling" He smiled getting up.

"Knox, have you been drinking ?" I asked as I got a stench of alcohol.

"Why do you care what I do, you didn't even bother hearing me out, now don't come to act like you care" He snapped.

"It takes a lot of alcohol for a werewolf to get drunk...Where did you find it," I asked as I tried snatching the bottle of alcohol from him.

He shrugged and said

"Just so you need to know, I don't how she ended up in our house and I don't know when or how I fell asleep, I only remember seeing a pair of red eyes and I woke up, but I know I didn't cheat on you cause if I did, you would be in pain."

He walked out of his room but before getting out he added

"You were supposed to trust me, believe in me but you didn't even bother listening to me out. You were supposed to"

And with that, he walked out leaving me dumbstruck.

Zene hasn't talked in two days. I messed up. I messed up big time. How could I be this stupid? Everything he said was the truth. If a mate cheats on the other, the other will feel pain indicating he or she is being cheated on. It was me who broke this relationship not him.

I glare at James's Jeep which is full, which means I have to ride with Knox or walk... thinking about it walking doesn't sound bad at all. With throwing one last glare at James I start walking. I am not angry at Knox or something. I just don't deserve him, he is too good for me. I hurt the person who is my other half. I don't wanna hurt him more but I am too selfish to let him go. I am gonna make it up to him.

I was brought back to the real world by the sound of honking ringing in my ears. I turn towards my left to give whoever is honking my piece of mind but my mouth hung open when I saw Knox in his car waiting.

I saw Raven sitting in the back seat and Mae sitting in the front.

"Get your ass inside the car" Mae rolled her eyes.

I got inside and sat next to Raven.

"Gave up with your hair?" Raven asked eyeing the messy bun sitting on my head.

"Fed up"I corrected.

"Why don't you cut it then?" Mae questioned.

"I even get fed up with you what shoud I do about that" I raised an eyebrow.

"No need to get sassy" Mae rolled her eyes while Raven laughed.

The rest of the ride was quiet.

I hope my making up plan works. He can push me away all he wants but I am not gonna give up.

My day went more boring than usual. I went to the cafeteria in the break. But I don't think that was a good idea because it ended up with my claws out, my hands rolled up in a fist in anger. Zene was taking control. My eyes are probably glowing blue, so I close them. Raven kept shaking my hand as she saw blood drip in my hand.

Once I gained control back. I opened my eyes and forced a smile towards her.

"Got a tissue?" I asked her.

Wiping the blood off I caressed my now healed hand.

I walked to the table where we all stood next to Brielle who was sitting in my seat next to Knox. I swear this bitch had a death wish, James, Reece, Silas, Danny, Raven, Mae, Charlotte were glaring at her.

"Get up" I hissed at her.

"Why should I ?" She smirked.

I saw Knox's jaw clench.

JAMES'S P.O.V

Man...I swear this bitch has a death wish. She is getting on Zes's nerves. I feel bad for Knox, he hates Brielle.

"He is mine." Zes hissed.

"Says who" She chuckled.

Zes walks to the middle of the cafeteria.

"Listen, hear everybody. If I see any of you girls near Knox. I hope you have a last wish and coffin ready. I will make sure you are in that coffin nailed up and six feet underground" Zes yelled.

I chuckled when I saw Knox trying to hide his smile. He might be hurt but Zes still manages to bring a smile on his face. Like today morning she kept a rose and a letter saying 'Please forgive me for the things I said, for the things I believed and for the things I ended up doing, give me a chance to make up for it', He loves roses. That small action brought a huge smile on his face. But he hid it from Zes, he has been always good at keeping his emotions at bay.

Zes walked over to our table and threw a fake smile at Brielle.

"Do you want a special message?" She asked.

"You wouldn't actually kill anyone. You are bl-bluffing" She stammered, I could smell her fear.

"Really? I broke your nose and choked you once. Try me" Zes taunted.

That was enough to make her scurry off. This break was interesting and amusing.

"Eat. You didn't have breakfast" Mae ordered Zes, who was staring into space.

"I am not hungry, I need a little air" With that she left.

"She is going to do something stupid," Knox sighed.

ZES'S P.O.V

Red eyes. Knox mentioned he saw red eyes before he fell asleep. Why does it sound so familiar? Wait... Zach won't hypnotize Knox, would he? Why would he though? I need to confirm if it was Zach who did all this first. Where is Brielle? I am also hungry but I lost my appetite.

Zene is angry with me... as expected she doesn't talk. I could track her scent but I don't know her scent. Ughhh. Thankfully I saw her flirting with some football player in our school. I walk over to them.

"Mind if I borrow her," I said in a sickly sweet voice.

While Brielle gulped the guy looked relieved, guess nobody likes her... honestly I kinda feel bad for her, like 0.00001%.

Pulling her to one corner I ask her

"How did you end up in Knox's room"

"Knox brought me," She said, even though I detected no lie in her voice I could see the fear in her eyes.

"You can do this the easy way or the hard way," I said in a low voice.

"I am telling the truth," She said looking into my eyes, her heartbeat was too fast.

"I will give you 5 seconds, if you don't tell me the truth we will have to do it the hard way" I hissed.

"One"

"I am telling the truth," She gulped.

"Two"

"I swear-"

"Three"

"Knox took me to his ro-ro-oom" She stuttered.

"Four"

"I was paid to," She said, clenching her eyes shut.

"Who paid you?" I was confused.

"I swear I don't know his name, but he had grey eyes, black hair and he had a tattoo on his neck," She said with uneven breath.

Zach. Why would he do this? I could feel Zene trying to take over. I quickly run outside the school into the woods. 'Zene stop' I told her. 'Tell me one reason why I shouldn't end his life, He hurt Wiskey, he tried to keep me away from my mate' She growled back. 'Cause he is my brother' I yelled at her. 'Who hurt you multiple times' She yelled at me. I didn't reply.

Sighing I look around at where I am. How far did I run? I was near my pack, still out of my pack though. I recognized this place, it looked really familiar. Following a gut feeling, I keep walking. Soon I stood in front of a familiar lake.

Memories started invading my head. This was the lake where I and Zach would sneak and chill here. It was our get away place.

"Fancy seeing you here she-devil" I heard a familiar voice.

Only one person in the entire universe calls me she-devil... Zach.
