8 Yin Essence of the Utmost Purity

"My lord, I can sense a presence in the water. It's moving gradually closer to the shoreline," the tiger beast announced upon noticing that the chaotic weather had indeed calmed down. His line of sight was projected to the horizon trying to figure out what he had just felt.

The thunder had stopped roaring around and the flashes of lightning had gone in the sky. The dark cloud faded leaving a clear sky.

"A presence? I can't sense any beast around," Qing Shan Rou questioned and squinted his eyes to focus on the sea. "There is nothing in the sea. Could it be the sea monster had left?"

"That could be the case. The sea beast had vanished indeed. My lord, there is nothing visible right now but I can sense a strange presence. There is something else in the water," the tiger beast insisted. This kind of presence somehow bothered him despite how feeble it felt.

"If the sea monster had gone, I don't care about the other presence. I only came here to test my prowess. Let's head to the forest and find some beast to fight," Qing Shan Rou spoke firmly. He then turned around and started walking.

The tiger beast did not move for a few more seconds. He scanned the sea for the last time before it reluctantly followed the trail of its master.

Just as they were about to leave the shoreline, a wave a energy overflowed from the sea making the two of them stood frozen from their tracks. The movement of the energy was quick and rapid before it vanished into the air.

It almost made them think if they were hallucinating. Yet, when the same wave of energy erupted once more. They were certain that it was real.

The energy was too pure yet, it gave off unfamiliarity to them.

"What was that?" Qing Shan Rou questioned. A deep frown creased on his forehead while he stared at a certain direction where he believed the energy came from. "I have never seen this kind of energy in the mainland! Are there other cultivators from the other region that would be coming here without giving any notice?"

The mainland was ruled by three lords. And they had made their territories as exclusive as possible. Outsiders rarely visit them for their geographical location was not an ideal place to live.

"This is too different. But something tells me that I have already seen this energy, lord. I just can't remember where," the tiger beast grumbled before it moved near the water.

"You have seen this energy? Hmmm," Qing Shan Rou frowned.

"The energy just now is compelling! This energy... isn't this..." the tiger beast trailed and did not dare to finish its sentence. He finally remembered where he had seen such kind of energy before!

"What is it? What is the origin of the energy that we had sensed earlier?" Qing Shan Rou urged the beast. Even he, could also not identify which powerful being would give off such terrifying energy. But mysteriously, the energy seemed to have rapidly disappeared.

"My lord, this is the energy when mating. The other part of dual cultivation," the beast softly said.

"T-the Yin essence? But, this one is a stronger form of energy. How can this be the gentle yin energy?" Qing Shan Rou debated.

Even though it was just a quick, he could feel that there was oppression on the energy that they had sensed.

And the Yin energy that they knew was mostly passive. Hence, he felt skeptical of the entire idea.

"My lord, the yin energy can also be oppressive if cultivated in a different way," the tiger beast reasoned. "The presence that I have sensed earlier, I think it's from another cultivator! And this is from a woman."

The presence was too faint and almost recognizable that the tiger beast initially did not think too much about it. But now, he was certain that it came from a woman.

"Oh? I came here to fight the sea monster. I am not interested in another yin cultivator. My mansion does not lack it," Qing Shan Rou muttered thinking the many ladies surrounding his place. His face looked disappointed after hearing what the tiger beast had said.

In this era, the lords of the mainland mostly treated dual cultivation as a way for them to increase their power. It was but the duty of yin cultivators to support those who possessed yang energy to cultivating their essence for them to reach the peak level.

With the attitude of Lord Qing Shan Rou, the beast completely understood why he does not take interest in the oppressive yin energy. But, the beast instinct was telling something else. This beast felt the need to check the source of this energy.

"It is best if we investigate this oppressive yin energy, my lord. This is your territory. If someone was too bold to invade your place, we should eliminate it!" the tiger beast stated. He had to convince this lord and there was no better way for him to do it other than using the sense of responsibility that the man adhered to.

"You are right. Let's check who is so bold to invade in my territory without asking my permission!" Qing Shan Rou stated with a dark expression on his face.

The two surveyed the place until they saw a figure lying in the sand. Despite the distance between them, there was no doubt that the figure was a woman.

"My lord, this... this..." the tiger stuttered, unable to move his gaze to the figure.

"Why are you surprise? It's just a woman cultivator. One that has a finest physical feature," Qing Shan Rou complimented. He was an honest man and although he was surrounded by many beauties, he could not deny that the woman in front of him looked ethereal.

"This woman is unconscious and looked so fragile. How could she emit such oppressive yin energy!" the tiger beast pointed out.

Qing Shan Rou checked the pulse and felt the extreme coldness of the lady's skin. The lady was freezing!

"She is cold but there is a pulse beating in her! She is alive. Let's bring her to the mansion!"

Without wasting another second, Qing Shan Rou stopped the beauty and ride on the back of his tiger beast.

"I can feel how cold her body is, my lord! It's the yin essence of the utmost purity," the tiger beast announced while it leaped from the sand and started running in haste.
