5 The Queens Illness

"My darling, are you alright?"King Quetzalcoatl asked his wife with utmost concern "Mother," Apep said in a worried and careing voice.

"I'm fine I just feel ever so dizzy all of a sudden," the queen explained. "What did you do to her?" Quetzalcoatl asked anger in his voice looking at the two wolves

"We have done nothing to your wife Quetzalcoatl," Selenes father explained.

"LIER!!!" Quetzalcoatl yelled "I don't believe you,"

"You may not believe me but I speak the truth," Selenes farther replied. Just as Quetzalcoatl and Apep were about to argue back out of concern for Anemone a blinding light shot out from the sky it was like nothing they'd ever seen. It shon so brightly that everyone had to avert and cover their eyes.

When the blazing light subsided they moved their arms and looked at where the light had been. In its place stood two godly women.

One had feachers that resembled Selenes, her raven black hair was flowing down to her waist, her lips were as red as roses and her eyes were as silver as the stars, her snow white skin was almost glowing in the sun. She wore a old fashioned dress which was strapless it was as red as wine and at her waist there was a belt which held a few daggers and other weapons on her back she wore a bow and arrows.

The other women had caramel brown hair which flowed down to her waist. Her lips were red like ruby's and her eyes an emerald green, her skin pure as a daisy. She too wore a strapless dress that flowed past her ancles and had a belt which held daggers and other weapons.

"Who are you?" Selene asked in curiosity causing the two women to turn and looked at her.

"Selene, at last we finally meet," the one who looks like her said."I'm Leto goddess of wolves,"

"and I'm Angitia goddess of snakes," the other women continued."We have been watching over serpents and wolves since the beginning of time."

"And this silly disbute has brought us much anger," Leto continued "you all now fight every time you meet where at one point there was peace but now you argue over something that happened eons ago without even knowing the full story."

"We would of intervened much sooner but we sensed that it wasn't the right time and if we acted then, then the prophecy would have never been phophilled." Angitia explained

"Sorry to inturrupt you but what prophecy?" Selene asked.

"Why the prophecy of the goddess of the moon of course," Leto said. However, seeing our puzzled faces she explained further "eons ago a prophecy was for told that the goddess of the moon and stars would find her powers and her true perpous after she turned 14. The disbutes between the snakes and the wolves were key to this so we could not act sooner because the goddess was not yet old enough."

"However, she has now come off age meaning we can help put an end to this silly disbute once and for all," Angitia added.

"But how will you end this disbute amongst us?" Selene asked.

"Oh, we won't be the ones to end it we are only here to set events in motion which will lead to the moon and star goddess becoming her truest self and to send someone from the serpents and the wolves to go and find her." Leto explained

"But what events have been put in order?" Apep asked.

"Well young one, your mother's illness is the first step because unless the moon and star goddess is found and she unlocks her powers your mother will never recover." Angitia explained "We have already decided who from the serpents and wolves will go."

"Who will you send?" Selene asked curiously.

"From the wolves we will send you Selene Asteria Summary Dea," Leto proclaimed in a regal voice.

"And Apep Anguis Fidi will go and acompany Selene Asteria Summary Dea on this mission." Angitia exclaimed in an equally regal tone.

"You can't send our fourteen year old children on this mission, their far to young." Farther replied "For once I agree you can't send them on this mission their to young," King Quetzalcoatl agree with my farther.

"We understand your concerns, however it has been decided that your children will represent the wolves and the snakes."Angitia exclaimed.

"We must return home but we will be watching. Leave here for your mission as soon as possible," Leto instructed.

"Head to the forest of Silvis and go through it head to the cave Prophetiae in the moutain of Templum. From there you will find where to go next to find the goddess of the moon and stars." Angitia explained "We must go now, goodbye but remember we will be watching,"

And with that a blinding light shot down from the sky and when it dwindled out Leto and Angitia were gone.
