16 Vex's World

Commander Vex looked down through a viewscreen as Gilgamesh ruthlessly slaughtered the dragons. Surprise overtook him as he saw what Gilgamesh did.

Gilgamesh's control over his powers seemed unreal. Some of these powers he had acquired less than a week ago and already he was hurling thousands of weapons at his enemies. Usually, it took years to learn these abilities. To him, these powers seemed to come naturally.

All the elder races had a common appearance. Interestingly, the humans seemed to share the appearance of the ancients as well

'Does their ability to quickly learn and acquire new powers result from their similarity to the Elder Races?' Vex wondered

Vex was beginning to think that the solution to the source of created energy lied with the humans and their similarity to the Elder Races. Vex suspected that Earth was special. He shared his finding with the Falcon family. They agreed with him and told him to guard Earth until they could send their expert scientists to study humans and their abilities.
