19 Type 5 Civilization (3)

When Alpha left the Gravin homeworld he went through many other nearly suitable planets that had to be closely inspected to determine their viability.

After more than 20 attempts he landed on a large class M planet that was different than any previous planet he had encountered. Because of gravity influx, the planet had become 1000 times larger than Earth. Despite the planet's high mass, the planet did not turn into a protostar but actually became a solid planet.

As a result of the high gravity, any insufficiently strong being that would land on the planet would be almost instantly crushed into a puddle, but gravity flux worked to decrease the pulling force of every atom. Though the world was ridiculously large it still had gravity similar to a planet 1000 times smaller than it was now.

The most surprising part for Alpha was not the size of the planet but its beauty. The beauty was comparable to his master's pocket dimension which he previously thought was incomparable to anything in the natural universe. The planet's plants were green and lush, the sun produced the most perfect temperature and made the climate very mild and there was a feeling of vibrancy that was similar to his master's dimensional space. Another being would mistake this for heaven.

As he began to scan the planet, he only found the signatures of plant life but no animal life.

After exploring the planet for a few short minutes, he found that he could not use his cosmic awareness, something that should be impossible. What could possibly block his master's power?

Continuing his exploration by foot, the forest gradually made way to open prairie and in the distance appeared a gleaming city. At first, he just saw tall beautiful buildings but the closer he got the more he could distinguish throngs of people. People came out to greet him as if they expected him to come. Despite his appalling appearance, they greeted him joyfully.

The strangest thing about them is that they looked just like his master. Could they be an Elder race as his master taught him? All elder races looked human.

'Were they another type five Civilization or were they part of his master's Parthian race,' he wondered.

8 Years Later on Planet Vex

8 years had passed for Gilgamesh. He appeared untouched by time avenging his village by killing as many dragons as he could find. He had become the gleaming exemplification for humanity.

At first, it was difficult to fight the dragons alone. As time went on, more people joined him in the hunt. As a result, dragons became even more hostile toward humans. They now saw humanity as a more dangerous threat than ever.

After all, who would have believed that one human killed 10 dragons while they were in a group together? Dragons believed that humans could only kill them when they were in very large groups or used their ingenious weapons. They thought that they were safe but something had changed.

After killing the dragons, Gilgamesh realized that he could not kill all the dragons or protect the people of all the separate villages. An ambition began to kindle in his heart. He wanted to create a kingdom that would allow humanity to defend itself and allow its people to thrive and prosper.

'This was the way to get to the top of the food chain,' he thought as he trained his new powers.

Gilgamesh continued to transform. His eyes became more radiant as the grey and gold began to swirl in inhuman patterns. His gleaming aura became brighter and brighter as he went from village to village killing dragons and earning the respect and adoring love of the villagers. They began to recognize his powers and called him a Demigod. Who else but the offspring of a living God would able to single-handedly kill those almost invincible and large dragons?

In one of those villages where he had killed 3 dragons and saved the village from certain destruction, the villagers celebrated their victory with him. The village chief in a booming voice exclaimed, "All hail to our savior Gilgamesh, vanquisher of dragons, destroyer of evils. Please accept our allegiance as master of the western villages."

"Oh chief you honor me I am but a humble servant of the people," Gilgamesh said as he stood before the crowd.

The villagers cheered to show their love of their humble savior who stood before them in clothes similar to theirs. Instead of the gleaming golden armor, he only carried a fierce-looking sword that became a mighty weapon in his hand.

Together they celebrated the village's survival.

''Every human life is precious. Together we can kill the dragons and restore peace to the land,' Gilgamesh thought as he remembered his wife and all the other victims. Lifting his glass he drowned his sorrow and began drinking more heavily than before.

Even Gilgamesh, with his inhuman tolerance, began to feel drunk and unable to think clearly as the night carried on. His vision began to blur as he felt the sharp pain of cold steel sliding into his heart. Surprised he looked into the face of the village chief standing over him. With cold blue eyes and an expressionless face, he held the knife that punctured his chest.

As the clan chief violently stabbed Gilgamesh repetitively with a very sharp knife, blood splattered the ground and covered the Clan leader's face.

As Gilgamesh felt his life's blood pouring out of him, he looked at the village chiefs with a questioning look but the village chief only glanced at him before turning his back and saying to his men, "Dump the body in the forest and leave it for the dragons to find."

Gilgamesh consciousness faded into darkness as he wondered why he had to die before completing his goal.
