18 Type 5 Civilization (2)

Two interstellar months after leaving Calvis's pocket dimension, the evolved Nafrite male or Alpha as Calvis liked to call him appeared on a planet desolate of life.

It took some time for the Alpha male to adapt to his new appearance but with time he felt more comfortable with his physique and with the suit that Calvis had created for him. The suit was a form-fitting black suit meant to be both covert and provide comfort. It had warming features and allowed for dynamic changes in its appearance when needed. Calvis had also imbued a small of amount of creative energy to repair it if it was torn.

These two months had been spent in quiet solitude as he teleported from one planet to another searching for an ideal planet that could sustain life without having life on it.

The cosmic awareness technology that had integrated itself with his armor could search for the correct planets but life forms and planets they inhabited were so diverse and weird that it was difficult to distinguish which held life and which did not.

The first planet Alpha stepped on was primitive planet filled with parasites of all shapes and sizes. At first, he was unable to detect them. Only after he fell ill, he realized that some of the parasites had already penetrated his body and he had to use his changed physic to expel them.

As he hopped from planet to planet he found each of them unsuitable in certain ways. Some he found unsuitable because of the form of life present, other ones he disregarded because of particular attributes of the planet itself.

The worst planet he had stepped on was Gravin. Gravin was settled with nasty creatures. The creatures, called Gravins, were known throughout the galaxy. Besides Gravin, these creatures managed to settle many planets by lying dormant in meteorites for extended periods of time. They were one of the Nafrites worst fears.

They were gigantic human-sized bug creatures with 10 eyes and 12 legs that could mimic the screams for help of different species. The scariest part was that when you found one, it was highly likely that there were a thousand or several thousand nearby.

When Alpha stepped on this planet he automatically knew he made a mistake. The former Nafrite did not even know that a home planet for the Gravims existed. Before he could leave, a Gravin clawed at him with its sharp sword-like legs intending to cut him in half.

Alpha with a move impossible for a normal Nafrite bent his body out of the way within a millisecond. Before the Gravin understood what was happening, the Alpha had his claws and sliced through the Gravin in one blow. Alpha and the Gravin were both surprised.

Alpha had no idea, that his claws were strong enough to cut through a Gravin. Quickly recovering from his surprise, he realized that his master would likely want a sample of everything he killed. He bent down and took a sample from the Gravin.

As Alpha teleported to his next potential base, Gravins flooded the ground where he had been. Alpha had no idea how close he had come to being eaten. Just as he had left, a type of bug that had never seen by the Nafrite reared its head which looked surprisingly humanoid.

If Alpha had known this he would have shuddered in fear because the beast gave off the energy of creation itself.

Calvis had been paying attention to the first fight of his new creation. With satisfaction, he observed his creature radiating powers through a viewer while he was sitting on his palace throne.

Calvis had his interest peaked. After all, only one race in a million would have created such powers and it would be impressive if this universe had one more race that could use created powers on the same level as the Parthians. Even then, the humanoid Gravin probably wouldn't live long enough to figure out how to make a pocket dimensional space.

'Mastering Parthian powers would take several lifetimes of even the longest-living inferior races.' Calvis thought as he reflected on the time it took him to fully master his powers.

Calvis appeared on the planet with all the Gravins and the creature with created powers noticed him and tried to exert his presence. Under his influence, all the Gravins cowered in fear as they felt a suppression that could kill them.

The Gravin humanoid was surprised when the force left Calvis unaffected and even bored. He had focused most of his powers on the man and by any imagination, he should be a blood splatter even if he was wearing the most recent Nafrite battle armor.

"You're going to regret this," Calvis said in a disinterested tone.

The Gravin humanoid felt dread as he was suppressed by Calvis and red energy solidified into a restraining cast. The Gravin could not use its power as it was transported to Calvis' personal lab and encased in a stasis ray until Calvis was ready for his new research subject.

Calvis still on the Gravin homeworld dug up the hive the humanoid belonged to. He restrained all the Gravins before sending them to an experimentation testing field close to his Nafrite Prisoners.

Calvis disappeared from the Gravin Homeworld without destroying it. He didn't want to mess with the Galaxy's ecosystem before he had complete control of it.

A ship arrived at the planet where a Nafrite outpost used to be. It has a Star insignia with a black and yellow pattern.

A man in a Black military uniform, identifying him as a member of the investigation force, sits on a commander chair in front of the ship's viewer. He called, "Status report! What do we have?"

A person sitting on his left said with a skeptical expression, "Nothing sir, that's the problem. "

"What do you mean Lieutenant?" His eyebrows furrowed, and confusion appeared on his aged face.

"What I mean commander is that there should be a planet where we are looking right now and it is not there. It seems as if it was destroyed without a trace," he said as he pressed more buttons to confirm this to be the case as he gazed at the screen with intensity.

"Well, what if it's behind us?" the commander suggested.

"What do you mean, Sir?"

The lieutenant looked confused

"I mean the viewfinder is only looking in this one direction and space is omnidirectional so what if it's behind us." The commander said.

The lieutenant quickly turned the viewfinder around and saw the shining blue planet right behind them and quickly apologized for his hasty assumption. He was after all newly promoted to the bridge.

"Now let us get the supplies we need for the rest of the trip and check out the area where the potential Type Five Civilization is supposed to have given off dimensional fluctuations." The Commander grumbled in disappointment.

' To think the Lieutenant was seriously considering that the dimensional fluctuations emanating from this Type Five Civilization might have destroyed the planet. Preposterous. I mean who would do that the second they arrive in a new Galaxy.' he thought as he walked to his private chambers.
